Karim at High Def Solutions is the person you want to install your home entertainment system (period). I had the Best Buy, Magnolia folks over to give me a "consult", but wasn't really impressed with that visit. It felt very cold, canned, and expensive. Not Karim. He beat their price and feel that he did a better install than they would have done. My home's great room was prewired for surround, but the wires were in an undisclosed location in our ceiling/walls. Long story short, Karim located the wires and overcame some construction and poor design hurdles to install five speakers (3 in wall, 2 in ceiling). He also installed two outdoor speakers and an indoor volume control. Once again he smartly Macgyvered some poorly thought-out prewiring issues and found a way to make it work the way it should. What I like about him is when he encounters an issue doing what he does; he doesn't look for the easy solution, he looks for the right solution. Then he works meticulously to get it done. I know at this point you may be thinking I was paid or have some incentive to write this. Well, I wasn't and do not. His work is professional and polished. He cares about his craft and takes pride in doing a good job. Those characteristics are hard to find anywhere these days, especially at the big chain stores. Give him a shot. read more
