I own a 2012 Toyota Prius and based on computer and electrical function errors it was determined by other auto service centers that my 4 year-old 12V battery was failing. I had it checked by Pep Boys and AAA, they both concluded that although it tested okay, replacement was recommended. I called and paid a visit to HDB and spoke with Mario. Mario was very accommodating, listened to the issues I was having with my car with sincere concern, and inspected the battery. He found that the battery was in great shape and the positive cable terminal was loose. Mario explained to me how the loose terminal would cause the issues I described and why the longevity of 12V batteries in Prius' may nearly double the manufactures life expectancy. A new Prius battery would've cost me anywhere from $225 - $325, Mario sells quality, brand new, "unbranded" 12V Prius batteries for $110. High Desert Battery is the only business my husband will purchase batteries from. After going with him today, I understand why.... The battery in my husband's Corvette needed to be replaced...
