I approached the front counter and asked if an associate could help me identify the correct location to add power steering fluid, as I wanted to avoid placing it incorrectly. Although I understand that information can be found online, I chose to visit the store specifically for in-person assistance, especially since the store was not busy. Other auto parts retailers commonly provide this type of basic customer support, which is why I felt comfortable asking. The associate at the front desk appeared hesitant and consulted another employee, who then suggested--within my hearing--that I "YouTube it." This response felt dismissive and unprofessional, particularly given that I was seeking simple guidance and human assistance. Customer service and approachability are key reasons customers choose to shop in person rather than online. Unfortunately, this interaction fell short of that expectation. As a result, I do not plan to return to this location. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as attentive and respectful customer service plays a significant role in maintaining customer trust and loyalty.
