I did actually call and I was told "we're working on it and will have the estimate to you within the next week" - this was 2 weeks after the estimate was supposed to be emailed to me. Fortunately I did find wonderful contractors who did actually come to my house twice, once for the initial consultation and once more to double check the ascetics before finalizing the estimate- this other company I ended up hiring and was very happy. The job was $47,000 and this other company did a beautiful job.

He gives clear & concise estimates and the best part is that all materials are purchased through a separate account that you link up your credit card to. For example, on the week he needs lumber, he'll tell you what's going to be charged, it'll go right to your credit card and the only amount you pay is what the lumber actually cost (with his professional discount). No uncharging or him taking a cut. You pay what the material cost not a penny more and you pay him a flat rate for his labor. I love them!
