I wish I can leave a 0 stars. The male bartender was so rude to me and my friend. He assumed we were with another girl just cause we were all black and refused to serve us. Even after we tried to explain that we don't know her he still yelled at us and kicked us out. read more

Nasty bar with even nastier attitudes, I was recently at Hunters and waited 20 plus mins for a drink, the Male bartender approached the guy sitting next to me at the bar who had already been served and the guy said "two Corona's" I chimed in and simply asked to make it three Coronas please........ And the older male Bartender Yelled at me so loud it was embarrassing saying "OTHER PEOPLE ARE THIRSTY TOO!!!" long story short I wouldn't come here if you aren't a regular or a person of color. Hunter's Beach Bar is a bar geared more for locals and is a decent enough place to grab a drink. This establishment definitely has a dive beach bar feel to it, which can be a good thing. Amazing dive bar. Great for locals and tourists. Right around the corner from the beach. Lots of characters to be seen here. Friendly folks. Cheap drinks. Good times. It's small. Cozy, but not crammed. Would be a great place for day drinking. Probably hasn't been cleaned in awhile but that's part of its charm. The bathroom smells like a sewer line leaked and the walls are lined with old porno clips from the Milf Hunter himself (he is the owner of said bar). Check out his videos, just not at work please. I have pics of the bathroom, but fear they might violate the TOS of Yelp. Some might call it sketchy, I call it a good time. They have live music and feature women's undergarments strung on the ceiling. Definitely not a place to take your mom because the milf hunter may make a move on her. I parked my motorcycle outside the bar so I could go for a walk along A1A. When a storm rolled in I walked inside to wait it out and decided to grab a beer. It's very small but has outdoor seating for when the weather cooperates. You won't get ripped off here, good prices for beer and wine and cocktails and there is no shitty talk-tak loud music, good old rock 'n' roll. The staff is very friendly and yes, it's a locals bar, but lots of us first-timers were welcomed. The owner brought me over a towel to dry my motorcycle, very thoughtful. read more

Everything you could ask for in a dive bar. Cold beer at a good price near the beach for a mid-day visit. Nicely done.

Ducked in to meet the Kentucky detachment for a pre-dinner coldy. I enjoyed a $3 Pabst Blue Ribbon in the 16 ounce can. That is the "all the time / anytime" special. There was a band of sorts playing, but the place is too damn small for live music. So I sat outside with all the rest of the bums, on the little patio porch and watched attractive women go anywhere but here. TRASHY PLACE! The owner Karen (Old lady with white hair about 5'3, pushing late 60's) was banging the bathroom door out. Was yelling at the top of her lungs because us two women were using the restroom (even when I opened the door and showed her she was still using it lol) put her hands on me and when I told to stop she called her over weight bouncer daniel to come get me. I explained To him my friend was still using the restroom and there was no need for her to touch me or yell. Apparently she is always belligerently drunk according to her good friend Steve and his gf. BEWARE! IF YOU WANT TO PAY TO GET TREATED LIKE TRASH THEN THIS IS YOUR PLACE! WAY BETTER SERVICE AT ELBO ROOM OR BLONDIES ACROSS THE STREET! I called the police and filed a report for the abuse (Daniel grabbed me by the arms while I was on the sidewalk waiting for the police and threw me into the street and bruised my left arm), thankfully a bystander had recorded the entire thing.
