COFFEE!! This place was delicious. I love going to different coffee shops and this one had a great name and it definitely deserves a star per finger! I got the cesspool of cinnamon which was unique and extremely delicious. Another thing I love is the art that they display on each of their coffee; it's great and it adds attraction for customers to continue to come. It isn't on a crazy busy street and it was so easy to park and walk two blocks to. The ambience was really nice and the guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Local coffee shop that will make you even forget that there is such a place called Starbucks. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE STARBUCKS but upon the recommendation of a local I stopped here while taking the urban walking tour. I was cold and windy so the stop here was a welcome respite. Warm and cozy with locals taking up spots doing work or conversing, the simple menu spoke to me. Helped by the batista I went for a 3 shot Cappuccino. It took a bit longer than would have been at my local Starbucks but handcraft goodness takes time love and tenderness. Presented with my hand crafted beverage, with an artfully designed leaf I was blown away at the smooth and creamy texture and full bodied flavor. Nothing more was needed and it warmed both my body and soul with each sip. They also have sandwiches and pastries for purchase so it's a great spot to just grab a coffee or a nosh. read more

First time trying this coffee shop. I had a latte which tasted pretty good. I liked that it was 10 oz because sometimes the larger sizes at other places have too much milk which overpowers the coffee. Husband had an americano which he enjoyed as well. We also got a ham and cheese biscuit which was kind of a disappointment. It wasn't terrible but didn't seem fresh at all. I'm almost certain it was prepackaged and sat under a warmer (like how they're served in school/hospital cafeterias) and it was pretty pricey at $7. We'd probably come back for the coffee but not the food. Counter service only and no inside seating at the time due to covid. Understated and cool ambiance (decor, clientele and temperature) and excellent location opposite a multi-story car park. Not sure about previous reviewer's comments about standoffish staff for non-locals as we are visiting from Cambridge, England so I would think qualify as non-local and we found the staff welcoming and helpful. One of our favorite coffee shops in Asheville ... as in we come here weekly. Love the laid back atmosphere. The staff is cordial and chill. I love that I can always anticipate that generally our beverages are made perfectly to order. The music is always enjoyable and the seating is comfortable. My Chai Tea Latte was wonderful! The staff was incredibly friendly- they were respectful and warm to every person; from us out of towners, to the locals, and the homeless. This place was so good, we came 2 mornings in a row. And it changed my coffee preferences forever. It's pretty hipster but there's a nice mix of people - computer tappers, families, post-workout crowd, and us, the mobile tourists. On morning one, it was a little busy but we hung in and were rewarded. We choose a food option as well, one of their bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches that was pressed and warm when our name was called. The sandwich was large and plenty to split, especially when we had eaten at 2am the night before (late arrival). The real star and life changer though, was the Dirty Chai. I didn't know this was a thing before that day. Turns out it's not only a thing, but MY favorite thing. It's a chai latte with a shot of espresso. My preference is with almond milk and MAN is it delicious. Gives me a buzz without the shakes that I traditionally get with strong coffee. My companion enjoyed his drink as well but we were sure to order it extra hot on day 2 which made it more palatable for him, the first day it was too cool for his taste.
