Everyone had room to relax, unwind, and enjoy their own space, which made the entire stay feel effortless. Especially with 5 adults and 4 kids, plus a dog! We were impressed at how the owners went above and beyond to create an exceptional experience. It's clear they spared no expense in making this home not just beautiful, but incredibly functional and welcoming. Everything you could possibly need is already there, including a hot tub to sit back and relax. It was such a warm space, it made us feel instantly at home. This place is mere feet from the beach and ocean, and definitely was not a place for party-zone. It was quiet, serene, and full of fantastic memories made! We even had a family photo shoot on the beach! We would come back in a heartbeat.

We came as an extended family of 9, which included 4 kids under aged 9. We never felt crowded in the home and the boys LOVED their bunk bed room. On cold spring days when the breeze was a little too chilly for a beach walk we had a wonderful time playing games and working puzzles - all host provided. And who could resist soaks in the hot tub to warm up? The beach is a short walk away and this is a quiet neighborhood. If you want a party house, this is not the house or section of the peninsula for you. If you want a restorative time away in comfortable surroundings, this is most definitely the place to go. It's the best rental property we've stayed in!

Stayed here for one night while traveling through. Looks like most everyone is long term, but it…read moredidn't look junked up like some do. It was very quiet and clean and it's gated. Sites are concrete with a picnic table. We wanted to stay hooked up to our 5th wheel and we were able to get a long pull-thru. Their WiFi worked great. Not too thrilled with the dog walk and they don't allow dogs by the pond. The dog walk was mostly overgrown, with a narrow strip mowed to walk your dog. We're used to more of a dog area where they can run around. Also, only have one set of bathrooms all the way at the office. That was really annoying, because we stayed hooked up and weren't able to use those at all. We thought we could stay on the way back, but we'll probably look for something else.

Additionally one evening they set up a beach campfire with s'mores and dinner served on the beach. Truly this was magical! Every detail was perfect! Their goal is to make you feel spoiled and boy do they! Our family used their services while vacationing in Crystal Beach and did not want to lug around all the "beach" necessities on our road trip. They had everything we needed and did the set up and break down for us when we were done. When they set up, they even raked the sand around to make it even and no holes. The Bolivar Peninsula and beach area reminds me so much of trips in my youth to the beach where we…read moredrove on to the beach to pick our spot. Not too many beaches left where they let you do that anymore but Bolivar is one of them. The peninsula is narrow and long with the main road going from the ferry terminal at the mouth of Galveston Bay to High Island. Used to go all the way to Port Arthur but with many big storms it washed away and they decided it wasn't worth rebuilding. I go down there mainly to take pictures of birds, there is a good variety; mostly shore birds like gulls, plovers, avocets and skimmers. The far west end is now a bird sanctuary owned by the Audubon society. You do need a beach pass on your windshield or your risk getting a ticket. Stop at any convenience store along 87 and get one, they are $5 during January and February and the price increases to $10 after that.

These people knew we were coming in a teardrop trailer but didn't bother to say they didn't have bathrooms.... but hey, you can wash clothes. I'd rather have a bathroom than a washer! I will not stay here again. EVER!

It's very clean and plenty of parking and a nice place to relax. There's also the local cat down in the bushes so if you have some cat food or something, you can feed him just look for him, I would say his name could be Oscar. I also saw a local raccoon where some of the passer buyers had left food. But it's pretty straightforward here, good place to throw away garbage and to use the bathroom, which was clean. It wasn't too crowded and kind of a nice peaceful oasis away from the busy or noisy traffic.
