I had a few broken tiles on my roof. I called 2 other roofing companies. One was so outrageously priced I nearly fainted!! The other was far more reasonable. I called and gave him the ok to do the repairs. He never showed up!! I waited and called and emailed. No response.. I checked on Yelp and found Jorge. I left him a message at 7:00 am. He called me at 7:30. He said he would go and look at the damage that afternoon!! He called from my house and said he could do the repairs RIGHT THEN!! I was floored! I said "go for it". I got home about 30 minutes later. He finished, I paid him and I'm still in disbelief that he did such a GREAT JOB so quickly!! I highly recommend High Level Handyman for any roofing repairs to facia and more.. I hired them to repair some major wood rot to our patio flat deck roof and it was an excellent experience. The owner, Jorge Alvarez, was professional, responded quickly for an estimate, and gave a fair & competetive price. He also helped coordinate the schedule with my screen company to remove the patio screen enclosure from the wood temporarily, and then return to re-affix the frames. I used Sunshine Screen & Patio for that and they were excellent too. I must say that High Level roofing crew showed up on-time, worked diligently and respectfully, and cleaned up the area when through. They returned the next day, as promised, to finish up the painting of the new wood. Again, they were punctual and completed the work to my satisfaction. I also had them do some additional tear out of rotted wood at the front of the house, and when it was suggested that the gutters be replaced, I agreed, and they performed the gutter installation immediately and did a very good job. read more

Asked for an estimate on a fix to a minor leak with exterior wall/seam. The "estimate" I received did not specify the problem/fix and offered a very wide number range for cost---leaving things wide open for hosing the customer. The short version is that he didn't know what was wrong or how he would fix it but it would cost at least $1,000---probably more. Kinda pricey/vague for not even diagnosing the issue or knowing what would be needed to fix. Maybe he just didn't want the job and thought this would drive me away so he wouldn't have to fool with it during his busy season??? Despite this situation, I was willing to proceed just to get the issue resolved, but failed in repeated attempts to schedule anything with them---being told vaguely "lets keep in touch" when I would ask if I had been placed on the work schedule. I can appreciate that he was busy with bigger jobs he had already booked, but I was then ghosted despite trying to follow up w/ them and months later when he may have had a last-minute cancellation or was otherwise hard up for jobs at the end of rainy season, he texted out of the blue to follow up w/ song and dance. I can't speak to quality of work because I could never get him to do anything. I would never contact them again---if you do, I hope you get better follow through than I did if you need an issue resolved in a reasonable timeframe. read more
