I, on the other hand, opting for my unspoken new year resolution of eating healthier, went with a chicken sandwich. Even though the menu called for it to be deep fried, our assured me I could get it blackened. It was delicious. A nice little added bonus was that they make their own Datil pepper ketchup, which was served on the side with my chicken sandwich. As soon as I tasted it, I realized I would need some more for my french fries. Another server, who I now presume might be the owner, came by and asked how things were going. When they did bring out our apps, it seemed like the fish had not had enough time to "cook" in the acid. A lot of it was still really raw. We took it home and ate it later, and it was much better. We also ordered the Mexican street corn, which had the SMALLEST kernels of corn on it that I've ever seen or eaten. I was especially disappointed about that because I'd been craving it all day.
