Word to the wise, don't let her touch your hair! I made the mistake of going to Courtney for hair color and extensions. Per Courtney's request, I sent her a photo of what I desired, a warm toned brown. I informed her I didn't want any bleaching or major processing of my hair and that I wanted to maintain the health and integrity of my hair. She informed me that she could just color the top of my hair and install extensions to match. She appeared knowledgeable and made the process sound so simple. At my first appointment, we selected extensions together and I agreed to her recommendations since she is a "professional." She orders the extensions, dyes my hair a dark brown, I pay in full for the extensions and service, and an appointment is set for a few days later for the extension install. The day of my install, my appointment gets moved almost two hours later. At my appointment, she realizes the extension packs don't match my hair. She said she would just dye the top of my head to match it better. It's like she spaced off because she ends up dyeing my whole head again, not just the top. She's the "professional" so I put my trust in her logic. Hours later the install is complete. I make a follow up appointment with her for a blow out and to trim the extensions. I get home and notice my hair in the front and back really doesn't blend. My hair is super dark at the top, looks black, and then lightens at the bottom. She saw it too because she text me later that night to set up a longer appointment to put some lighter pieces at the top of my head. I don't stress at that moment because she keeps saying "I want you to be happy with your hair" and admits there is a problem with my hair not blending. The day of my blowout and trim, she tries to cancel and change my appointment an hour before the appointment. I beg her to come in and cut my hair. The weight of the extensions was too much and besides she was supposed to cut it anyway at the install, but didn't. Courtney cuts my hair at the appointment and confirms the next appointment to put lighter pieces at the top of my head so it blends. Since I realized Courtney has a habit of canceling and changing appointments, I text her the night before confirming my appointment the next day. She confirms. The day of the appointment she texts me approx an hour before my appointment to cancel. That day she confesses she needs more time to figure out how to blend my hair and that she is "not comfortable lifting my hair." Wait wait?! We never discussed lifting anything. I ask her to color the extensions lighter to make it blend on my head and she refuses. I ask her for a solution to fix the fact it doesn't blend and she offered zero solutions. Courtney just kept saying over and over she wasn't "comfortable." You know who's not comfortable? ME! I'm the one walking around with a black top and light ends. It's not anywhere near what I wanted! Instead of offering solutions, Courtney told me to find someone else. Thank you Courtney for leaving a mess for another hairdresser to fix. I have to deal with a botched color and botched install. Will have to order more extensions as well to blend this mess you created! I don't find it amusing paying $2,000 total for all this and now having to pay another stylist. I guess it's for the best you told me to find someone else. You probably would have fried my hair off if you touched it again. Courtney if you had any decency you would at least refund the tips I gave you. TIPS=To Insure Prompt/Proper Service. I tipped you 30% to receive good service and it's apparent you don't respect your clients time nor money. You don't appreciate your clients at all. I was extremely patient with you, more than you deserved. You made it all about you. You have a job to do, so do what people pay you to do. I make a living off my appearance, you don't. So it definitely matters that you screwed up my hair. You're apparently inexperienced if you can't figure how to blend extension colors on someone's head. I would expect this to be a simple task from someone who claims to be a "certified extensionist" and "4x certified extensionist" on their Instagram profile. Also, you claim to be a "celebrity hairstylist" on your Instagram profile. I never saw any celebrities on your Profile. Instagram models don't count. What you list as experience and what you deliver is a bit far-fetched. By the way, don't try to lie. I saved the texts.
