I reached out and quickly got a reply from their booking manager, where we handled all the details (how many people, general style I wanted, how many for hair vs. makeup, etc.). We secured the wedding date and time, and then also set a date for a trial hair and makeup (additional, but I highly recommend doing this to give you a chance to take notes, see it after several hours, and make adjustments to your final look). Katie and Aimee were the hair and makeup dynamic duo for both my trial and wedding day, and they were both so friendly and a breeze to work with! They both treated me like an old friend, and were great with our kids and our mothers. After the trial I had a few notes for hair and makeup, and they made those adjustments for the actual wedding day, and I LOVED my look. One of our daughters was very timid, and they treated her with so much kindness and patience. One of our moms was so nervous (had never done hair and makeup before), and they helped her feel comfortable and find a style that wasn't over the top for her tastes - she was raving the whole night about how amazing she felt and looked! After doing research, I booked LV Hair and Makeup about 2.5 weeks prior to the wedding. I sent in an inquiry through their website. I received an email back from Laura. She is the main point of contact when it came to the pricing, booking, and confirming. Their website is detailed with prices and packages. I booked an Elite Hair & Makeup package for the three of us. It cost $219 per person. Upgrades are an additional cost (ex: airbrush makeup $35, eyelashes $10, rhinestones $10, hair extensions $10, updos $10, Hollywood waves $10). Since they're mobile, they charge a travel fee of $20 for each artist. A deposit is required before you get a confirmation. Deposits are non-refundable. They take payments through PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. The remaining balance will be paid after the services. Although Laura had many grammatical errors and may seem all over the place, she was very responsive. She sent me a detailed breakdown of each charge. After sending her a deposit, she sent me a confirmation of my appointment date, time, and location. The day before the services, the hair and makeup artists contacted me for reference photos to get an idea of what we wanted. I sent them a few images I found online. Karina and Liss arrived on time on the day of the appointment. They came extremely prepared with their own lighting and products. Both artists were gentle and patient. Karina did an amazing job with our makeup. I asked for a full glam for my mother and I. I wanted a warm eyeshadow, cut crease, gold shimmer, contour, and baking. Took it back to the 2018 makeup era. I asked for the same makeup style for my mother, but she wanted her outer and inner corners smoked out with a shimmer in the middle. My sister went for a soft glam and a smokey eyeshadow look. We absolutely loved our makeup and appreciated how well it stayed on for 12+ hours! Liss did a beautiful job with our hair. I sent her images of the hairstyles my mother and sister wanted, and she did exactly that. My sister wanted curls and a braid around her crown. My mother wanted her hair curled and half of it pinned in the back. I was the only one that did not have a reference photo, simply because I couldn't find what I wanted. I explained with as much detail as possible about the hairstyle I wanted. I wanted braids on the side of my head, majority of my hair slicked to one side, volume on the top, and curls. Even without a reference photo, Liss was able to bring my vision to life! She used a lot of hairspray, so our curls stuck throughout the night. Her technique and product choices did not reflect any real familiarity with deeper skin tones, I even gave her my own foundation but that didn't help and we were ultimately left to do our own makeup. What concerns me most is not the skill gap itself, every artist has limitations, but the lack of honesty when asked directly. Misrepresenting your experience to a client is a serious breach of trust, particularly in the beauty industry where your work is tied to someone's most meaningful moments. I also noticed that other makeup artists present did not appear to recognize Bonnie as part of the local Vegas makeup community, which raised further red flags. We were fortunate to be members of the bridal party and not the bride herself otherwise she could have really ruined someone's special day. Went to this location for the benefit brow bar. When I arrived the person, Holly, who I had an…read moreappointment with was no where to be found. Took about 10 minutes for her to make her way to the brow bar. I told her i was growing my brows out so just needed a little removed and shaped. I asked her if she was going to map my brows according to the benefit guidelines and she told me she didn't need to and that she has been doing brows for 15 years and that she could do them in her sleep. Well, as soon as she put the first strip of wax on, I knew I was in trouble. She took so much of the brow of the bridge that it's now not even close to where it is supposed to be. My brows were relatively flat but she created a HUGE arch by removing all of the new growth that was filling in. She waxed a significant amount from the top of my brow as well. I let her finish and when she handed me the mirror, it was obvious that she was trying to cover up her mistakes. She filled in my brows so heavy and dark, I looked like a completely different person. I could tell that my brows were gone so I wiped off the pencil only to see that my left brow was so thin and completely uneven with my right brow. However, both were arched beyond what is any where near natural. She kept insisting that my brows were "sisters not twins" and that my hair was blond so that was why I couldn't see that they were even. I asked her what she could do to fix it and she basically said to let them grow in 6 weeks and that then she could tint them so that she would know what she was working with as far as shape and what she could remove. Excuse me???? I had just told her that I was growing them out and if she would have asked I would have told her that I had been growing them out for more than six weeks. Had she gone through the proper Benefit process of mapping my brows and coloring them in BEFORE she waxed them, this could have all been avoided. I am getting married in 2 months so really couldn't afford this mistake on her part as my brows do not grow that quickly (been waxing since 4th grade). So disappointed and frustrated that I have to pay the price for Holly's over confidence and inability to listen to the client. I DO NOT recommend Holly for any brow service based on this experience.
