Asiago bagel with bacon scallion cream cheese
    Lindsey B.

New favorite breakfast stop!! The options were expansive and the taste was even better. It was incredibly busy on a Sunday morning but the workers were fast and from entering the shop to eating a fresh bagel, it only took about 15 minutes. I ordered the Asiago bagel with bacon and scallion cream cheese. I loved the ratio of cream cheese to bagel. I wish the bagel had a little more cheese on it but that might just be me being greedy. I do have to say that the garlic and herb flavor I tried from another persons order was definitely the winner. If I return that will be my pick!

Updating my last review. Today's experience is different than my last review. I ordered my usual and was very disappointed. You can see my last review compared to this one. Much less cream cheese and not worth the price for what I got.

NY style bagels in the middle of NC!! This by Far is one of the best bagels in the area! They are always making them when we are ordering. So I know they are fresh!! Worth the wait in line, if there's a line. I had a BLT on an everything bagel today!! So good.

This is a small mom and pop bagel shop that throws you back to the 90s days. The food is decent price and amazing to eat. Their portions are large so they definitely fill you up. Their service is fast as well. Be wary they may mess up your order slightly (I had asked for everything bagel but got plain) if they're busy, but overall they're pretty on point.

Love this spot! Their bagel recipe is great, great mix between crunchy/toasty and chewy. My go-to is an egg everything with tomatoes, onions and scallion cream cheese. But I love all their flavors, both the sweet and savory options! They also have sandwich options too, Which I haven't tried but have heard are pretty good. Service is fast, and the ambiance is great. If you're in high point, this is your bagel spot!!

Around the holidays, I decided to stop into High Point Bagel and pick up a dozen bagels to make for some easy breakfasts in the coming days, and hopefully offer something tasty for our guests. I'd visited High Point bagels a few times in the past, just to get one or two, or get a breakfast sandwich, so buying a full dozen was a first for me. My wife suggested I get a good variety, so I went with a mission. I received a rather mediocre welcome, but chocked it up to the early morning hours. They had a great selection, so getting a variety was no issue. I began noting my order as they filled a bag, but specifically asked for a few everything bagels to be packed separate, since they can be rather overpowering. I assumed, they picked them in another bag within the large bag, only to get home to find they were all packed in the same bag. So I was definitely disappointed that request couldn't be acknowledged. As far as the quality of the bagels go, they do make some great food, but that small detail of how they packed my order definitely bothered me, since I specially asked. I, would, and probably will return, though, I'll certainly keep a better eye on how my order is packed

This is an amazing place for bagels!!! Well known in the High Point area and is at an excellent location. The bagel was stacked with meat! Very plentiful and I was glad I dropped in. Also offers many food delivery services so you can order ahead of time.

Not too much seasoning, but very seasoned!

So first off, yall don't come here for the ambiance. Definitely not a place to have a cozy morning, it's a place to get a great bagel. Walked in and was greeted right away: they have great flavors (PUMPERNICKEL EVERYTHING) and nice spreads, the claim is NY born. This NYCer can confirm: the bagel had an excellent chew and flavor, got the pumpernickel everything with lox spread tomato and capers, easy on the spread. I got to my meeting early and planned on eating my bagel in the car, and it was heavy on the cream cheese with capers and lettuce. Not a huge deal, definitely pulled that off and missed my tomato. That's really the only reason for one star missing, but truly, a great bagel! Thank you!

    Breakfast sandwich on an everything.

Contrary to popular belief, good bagels are not hard to find in the Triad. You just need to know where to look. New Garden Bagels in Greensboro, with its Northern roots and traditional preparation (boil then bake), is one such spot, and High Point Bagels, which shares those attributes, is another. Though a bit rough around the edges, HPB offers unquestionably the best bagel in High Point and among the best in the region. Owned by a Long Islander (with the accent and attitude to match), High Point Bagels lives up to its pedigree. Those of us from the New York/New Jersey area will find little to sneer at here as they nail the requisite (crisp outside/chewy inside) texture. And while the inventory varies, when HPB is fully stocked, the selection is hard to beat. On a good day, every flavor you'd expect (everything, pumpernickel, onion) will likely be accounted for, plus HPB offers the ever-elusive egg bagel as well as several types of spreads and cream cheeses (and muffins and black and white cookies and....you get the idea). You can't go wrong with a breakfast sandwich here (they offer Taylor ham, which nets them another authenticity point) though if you arrive later in the day, the Reuben sandwiches, messy as they can be, are delicious. Try one on pumpernickel. Though food quality is a constant, your experience may otherwise vary. High Point Bagels occupies a small, utilitarian (wall of license plates notwithstanding) space with only a few tables, and lines out the door aren't uncommon. Staff are mostly friendly and frequently husting, but woe unto thee who ends up in line behind a large, complex order. In short, don't go here if you're in a hurry or want a quiet eat-in experience (unless it's an off-hour), but if you're getting your bagels to go and have time to spare, you should be fine.

Most reviews are years old. Here's to hoping this review helps! This place really deserves more attention. It is in an industrial park and not easy to see. The restaurant itself doesn't have a lot of parking spaces, but you can park in the large lot in front or behind and take a short walk. The first thing I noticed was the diversity of patrons. That's always a good sign. The lady at the counter greeted me with a cheerful smile and I could tell she knew a lot of the regulars and their orders as they came to the counter. The gentleman who brought my food out to me was very pleasant and engaged me in conversation. I tried the turkey Reuben with fries today. I give it 4 stars due to lack of meat. It had great flavor, but was loaded with sauerkraut and a thin slice of turkey. The fries were a little underdone for my liking but they weren't bad. From looking around the small dining area, I could see this was consistent with other patrons and the sandwiches they had on their plates, not a lot of meat. I will add this place to my lunch rotation now. I look forward to trying the other meals and being able to review some of those.

Hours are limited…read morebecause it mainly serves the industrial area that it is hidden in the middle of, but if it works for your schedule to come here, you really should. They make a lot of their sides from scratch, and bake their own breads. Everything is made to order, so be ready for a short wait, but know that it is worth it. To get here, once you're on Airpark road, take your second right. If you hit the traffic circle you've gone too far. After taking that right, drive to the end of the straightaway and you'll be confronted with a large parking lot on the right. Spring Garden Bakery is in the back right corner. The restaurant is clean. Minimally appointed. Don't expect comfy chairs, they use the industrial grade metal ones. No one is staying here very long so that is fine. Menus are on the counter as you approach the register, and photos are on Yelp if you want to look first. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, burgers, and daily specials. Drinks are either brewed tea, or canned/bottled beverages. I have grown particularly fond of their club sandwich. It comes with a lot of meat on it, and they're happy to sub in Honey Mustard for mayo, which is the way I prefer it. Another thing that I love here, when they have fried okra, GO FOR IT. It appears to be hand-breaded and fried to order, the most recent batch I had was perfect. Golden brown, crispy outside, tender okra inside. Yum.
