Everything seasoning on the table at Greenfields NY Deli & Bagels, Greensboro
    Bruce K.

Heading towards home, Mrs. K. said that she wanted New York deli for late breakfast and so Yelp headed us to Greenfields. A short wait in the queue on a Sunday morning and we placed our orders. A few minutes later, a polite young lady brought it to the table. With our Dr. Brown's, I had an everything bagel with cheddar and egg. Delicious, chewy bagel and the cheese was nicely melted with the hot egg. Perfect. Mrs. had her Larry David special, a bagel with whitefish salad and nova plus the LTO and a pickle on a side. She made the better choice. Overall, great service, great menu options, fabulous food. Five easy stars here. On the table, a shaker with "everything" seeds in it. This was nice idea but the bigger pieces blocked it almost completely. [Review 80 of 2025 - 4055 in North Carolina - 23648 overall]

Best bagels in town. This was a cheddar jalapeño bagel with turkey sausage, egg, and cheddar cheese with a deviled egg. Deviled eggs are amazing. My favorite is an everything bagel with pastrami, egg, and cheddar. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean.

Discovers this place a couple of weeks ago when I was up on battleground, and craving an authentic bagel. I Yelp searched "bagels near me" and this place came back with great reviews, so I made a beeline to get some breakfast. I was greeted by the staff upon walking in, made my way to the counter enjoying the Halloween and everyday decor, plenty to keep your eye ma busy. The staff was friendly and quick to offer suggestions/recommendations. I stuck with my go to, breakfast sandwich, sausage egg and cheese on a cheese bagel, and it was perfect. The bagels were incredibly fluffy and flavorful, probably the best textured bagel in the area, from what I've tried. They offered a great variety of bagel flavors and cream cheeses and options. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back

First visit and def won't be my last. Stopped by at lunch time and received excellent service by a friendly staff. Sesame bagel was warm and delicious with the perfect amount of sour cream on top. Cozy seating for hanging out with friends. The display case had a variety of fresh add ons. Highly recommend!

This is a small breakfast style to go shop but do not be fooled, the food here is delicious and the service fast; they are quick to serve your food. It is known for its bagels, you can get fresh ones or day old ones at a lower price from the fresh ones. Certainly enjoyed going here to get a quick breakfast. Not a lot of seating since it's meant to be in and out but if you get the chance to sit you'll find that they are clean and simple.

Finally got to check out Greenfield this week and was pleasantly surprised! I say surprised because some reviews I've read had me a little skeptical, especially when compared to other similar bagel shops in town. The online ordering system is easy as pie. I placed my order and within 8-10 minutes it was ready for pick up. I love their bagel and cream cheese selection. It's a little more extensive and unique compared to other shops. I tried the Pastrami, Egg, and Cheese on Black Russian bagel. I've never had one of those before! It's basically a Pumpernickel Everything bagel. I loved it! The PEC went perfectly with it. Honestly, this PEC was better than my absolute favorite bagel shop in town (they shall remain nameless!) but the pastrami seemed fresher and more plentitul. I also really liked the interior of Greenfield's. It was spacious with many seating options, perhaps a nice place to come get some work done! I'm excited to come back to try other items, maybe even a lunch sandwich (that Reuben is calling my name!) One thing I'd like to see on the menu is bagel dogs or some breakfast side options. Overall, great menu and good prices!

My new grab and go spot. Stopped in for a quick lunch and was told to try the Reuben. I subbed it on sourdough and it was perfect! The employees are very friendly and you can tell everything is made fresh in the taste and quality of the food. Eager to try their breakfast and bagels, I came back and got their turkey sausage, egg, and cheese on a garlic bagel. The bagel was so fresh and I enjoyed every bite! Since they had just made chicken salad, I took home some for later. It was so fresh and flavorful, but not overdone. They season it so well and let it speak for itself.

Great breakfast bagel sandwich! Got sandwiches to go, what a great tasting bagel, soft and tasty! I got a bacon egg and cheese on Asiago. Can't wait to try another variety.

Came here again only after a few weeks since my last review. This visit reaffirms that it is one of the best bagel spots around. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5

I cannot believe I have not been here sooner!! Hands now, my new favorite place to get a NY bagel. They even have gluten free options. I got the sesame bagel, dbl toasted, with cream cheese and it was absolutely delicious. The whole service; employees and the manager were a delight as well

Greenfield's is what I call a Greensboro staple. We've been coming here for years, it's the best bagels in town. The staff are always friendly, the bagels are always fresh, they always give me a good amount of cream cheese which is super important to me. Overall, love this place, can't express it enough!

    Melissa M.

My all time favorite bagel place in Greensboro!! The bagels are as good as they are in NYC. They have a large list of sandwich options and sides. Love the day old bags of bagels!!

Dented and deflated. That's how I feel about this place.

I have decided to include an update to the review that I put on Google. The owner has a few choice words for me as a customer. I guess the customer is never right in his eyes. See the screenshot in the pictures.

My husband and I were in downtown Greensboro on a Saturday afternoon and decided to hit this place up for lunch. When they called the place The Bodega, they really mean it's a bodega. It's decked out like a small convenience store from the second you walk in. We ordered our food at the cash register to eat at one of their tables outside. The cashier brought our sandwiches out about 10 minutes after ordering. I ordered the Turkey Caesar. It had turkey, shaved parmesan, marinated cherry tomato, house-made Caesar dressing, onion, and romaine lettuce in an 8" sandwich roll. It was a little pricey at $15, but it was worth the splurge. The dressing and parmesan cheese were unbelievable! Since this is in downtown Greensboro, there is no dedicated parking lot but we easily found street parking nearby. The place has a few tables outside for customers to enjoy their food. If you're looking for a good sandwich, I highly recommend checking The Bodega out.

But I finally made it back--and I'm glad I did. Service was great. Our server was attentive, intentional, and checked on us just the right amount without being overbearing. It was also nice to sit somewhere that wasn't overly crowded--made the whole experience more relaxed. The food is simple, but good--and the prices are very reasonable, which I always appreciate. I switched it up this time and tried the burger instead of my usual Italian club (which my fiancé ordered), and it did not disappoint. The burger was solid and the fries were really good. One small thing--I remember the bread being toasted the first time I came, and it didn't seem like it was this time. Not a big deal, but something I'll probably double-check on my next visit. Overall, Jay's Daily is a dependable spot for a quick, easy lunch. Definitely one of those places you can count on when you just want something good without the fuss. Added my toppings and dressing and sat down to eat. Very pleased with my meal and the chocolate mousse was excellent. Went for round two and was dismayed to see they had not properly cleaned the tray and had left food particles on it. Not a huge deal because I was putting my food on the plates, but it's the little things. No complaints on food for round 2. Got more mousse and was able to get lettuce this time. An employee had been working on stocking the salad bar while I ate my first plate and continued during my second. While I ate my second serving someone I assume may have been a manager of sorts came out and was giving the employee stocking feedback. I then watched the manager start filling containers by ADDING THE REFILL ON TOP - no rotating, no changing containers, just adding on top. Not acceptable. Seating is and always has been cramped in here. I had to weave around tables to get to my seat. We also saw someone have their sunglasses knocked off their head by someone exiting to the patio because their table was that close to the door. However, the salad bar is reliably a good idea (for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike) when dining in. Also, they do baked potatoes! At my last visit, I got grilled cheese and tomoto soup. The rye bread was delicious and so pretty with its swirling rye marbling. However, there wasn't nearly enough cheese in the sandwich. Also, the tomato basil soups tasted like mass produced soup from a bag (think Panera). I was grateful to have an easy veg option, but it was just alright. The space was big and had a lot of tables. Also, there were a couple of employees who were bussing tables quickly, which was awesome. To me, this is a spot to eat in a pinch and not somewhere to sit and enjoy a meal. Overall, not great and not terrible. So three stars is where I'm landing in my review.

I'm so glad I did check my bag before I left because they did not give me ranch or plasticware, man I would have missed out on some amazing ranch.
