I got my first tattoo here and they were so comforting and personable. I debated not getting it anymore after I learned the spot I wanted it would fade away so quickly, but after seeing my sister get hers on her wrist I decided to get mine too. Our tattoo artist was so patient and great at distracting me since he knew I was super nervous. I've also gotten multiple ear piercings here as well and they are all so fun and energetic! Not only were the people extremely rude and unprofessional they were also mad when I wanted to scale down my tattoo a little. Then when I decided to rethink where to put this tattoo I was told not to come back to that shop. Best piercing place I have ever been to, and I've been to a lot. I went to school at U of O from 2010-2014 and had 6 or 7 piercings done while I was there. Jim is THE BEST! I had my rook pierced there but it was pierced too far into my ear and you couldn't see it (my ears are tiny). My rook wasn't pierced by Jim originally. I went in the next day and told him my concerns, he took the jewelry out, sterilized it, and he pierced it on my other ear for free (obviously I tipped him). He is SO GOOD at calming your nerves and is just a great guy all around!! The place is so clean. I live in Portland now but would 100% venture the hour and a half drive down to Eugene just so I could go to High Priestess. No piercing places even compare to how amazing High Priestess is! And if you have the chance to get pierced by Jim, you are truly lucky!!!! read more

Go to the one on 6th instead! I cannot even rate this place zero stars would be my choice but Yelp needs at least one to post). The hours posted were until 10pm. On Tuesday (12/20/16) night, 3 California Girls and 1 from Eugene were heading directly to this joint after being given high praises from Ritual Art in Portland. After braving the 2 hour drive we arrive and we're most unwelcome! The girl behind the counter was super annoyed anyone walked in an hour before closing. Rude and very patronising, even while setting up a consultation for the next day. The pierce guy was not any more welcoming. I wish I knew their names.... all the best High Priestess on 6th Rocked. High Priestess is great for piercings! I've never gotten a tattoo there but as far as the piercings, they are quick, efficient workers and do a great job! The pricing is pretty standard from what I've seen (some jewelry can be expensive there, anything gold is out of budget for me). read more

I've always loved this place. They are so friendly and helpful! I've been pierced and tattooed and bought TONS of jewelry. I've adore the main front desk chick! She is so so so friendly. The piercer I've had the most experience with is always smiley and crazy nice too. There is only one tattoo artist I've seen, Rob, he was really cool and he fit me in a busy schedule when I had an appointment mix up with someone else. I always feel very comfortable here. I'd only ever had my lobes pierced and have no tattoos... truth be told, I felt a little intimidated going in to ask about some simple piercings on my first visit, feeling like a newbie! However, every employee I spoke with was excited about me expanding my collection of decorations. Everyone there has always been very good about letting me know if they thought I was a good candidate or not for certain piercings with no hesitation telling me that, in their professional opinion, I shouldn't do something I was interested in due to my anatomy. The fact that everyone I speak with there is enthusiastic, from the counter person to the piercer, really makes it a great experience. They have a large selection of high quality jewelry and I like that I can stop in whenever if I want to have a check up on a piercing if it seems a little irritated! read more

I went in the get pierced during the 10 dollar special, and not only was I greeted with snotty service, but during the entirety of my 3 hour wait, I felt very unwelcome. I understand that there is busyness to be expected during a special sale, but I really feel that they should have been more prepared to handle the extra load. As said before everyone here is friendly. This was my first tattoo and it was a simple line drawing. Erich did it and the stencil looked great, but after the fact, and I have waited over a year for it to settle in the job was terrible! Since it seems he no longer works here this is just to vent and a warning. My tattoo did not meet any of the criteria listed on this companies web sight for quality work. My lines were blurry. The color was inconsistent. The spacing was terrible and the letter size varied all over the place. He didn't follow his own stencil one bit. Maybe line art is really tough to do, because he did a tat for my wife first and it turned out very nicely. Mine sucked! I even had my wife and her best friend check the stencil before he started for placement, spacing etc. So all I have to say is sad time for my first tat. Need to try and get it fixed. I even gave him a $60 tip! read more

Horrible experience, the staff was not helpful, and was not truthful about pricing!!! Please ensure that you are getting exactly what you paid for because they ripped me off. I recently went into high priestess to exchange my nose stud for a hoop with a friend and the lady helping us explained the types of hoops and prices. For the easy slide in/out hoop it is $17 and for the hoop the piercer takes in/out is $13 so I began to pay and she tells me that I pay after, agreeing I go get the hoop put in and return to pay. She tells me its $93 after I stood there confused I asked why I was being charged $93 and she said oh the specific hoop I had chosen was that much only the sterling silver was $17. I told her that was ridiculous especially after telling me the style which I had picked out was $17. She said "sorry hun my bad" when I asked her to remove it and I would get the cheaper hoop but she said well you have it now and you have to pay the $93 so I did and walked away frustrated and ripped off. read more

High Priestess is great! I have been pierced there about 6 times and every piercer who I've been pierced by has been really great. The shop is super clean, the people who work there are super knowledgeable, professional and helpful, and the jewelry is really good quality. I've never had a problem with any of the jewelry they've sold me. When I've needed to go in and get a piercing looked at they are more than happy to help. High Priestess definitely deserves it's reputation of being the best piercing shop in Eugene. If you are planning to get a piercing I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more
