It was rather late in the day on Saturday so I just turned the water off and decided to deal with the problem on Monday. So, on Monday, I did a drive-by to assess the situation and discovered another area where water was bubbling to the surface and resulted in quite a large muddy spot. Well now, my head just hurt. So I turned to Yelp to look up 'Plumbers' and started reading reviews and I noticed that Rapid Action Rooter had sooooo many positive comments. I sent a message through Yelp describing the problem and a few minutes later I received a reply from the owner. I called Mandel, the owner, and he said he could come out that afternoon. That was yesterday. Mandel and his assistant were waiting for me when I arrived, both dressed in uniform with company info on the shirt. After I showed him the problem areas he and partner got to work. Mandel discovered there was a hole--more of a slit, in the middle of this piece of copper pipe (buried about 3 feet underground )--so weird. Have NO idea how could've happened...or WHEN! Mandel explained the damaged portion of the pipe needed to be removed and replaced, welded back together. He was transparent about the price and method of payment--uses Zelle, which is super convenient! During our conversation, though, I mentioned some other jobs that needed to be completed in the home. Well, before I could say, "do you know anyone who does...?", Mandel was telling me about his drywall & paint guy, his flooring guy, his electrical guy. But more than merely tell me about the tradesmen, he actually called them before he left so that I could coordinate a day/time to meet with them AND Mandel told them that HE would text them my contact information. What??!! I felt an incredible sense of relief knowing that most, if not all, of the remaining projects in the house will be completed. And it's because I had the great fortune---blessing, actually, of meeting Mandel. I would select Mandel and Rapid Action Rooter Plumbing again and again!!! He's the best!!!

We had a sudden and major sewage problem due to a failure in our almost 100-year old home that had a rusted out cast iron refuse pipes. He even offered to come buy and give a second opinion for free - even though he knew another plumber was already on their way. The other plumber gave me a small estimate to put a collar on the one exposed piece of rusted out cast iron with numerous holes in it. George suggested that it might be good to go under the house before committing to any work. That was a game-changer. He did a thorough diagnosis of what the problems were and validated all of this with still pics and videos in real time that allowed me to actually see a number of leakage problems. Not just one. Since I had worked underneath our home on a number of occasions (although not in several years) I was more than knowledgeable about the plumbing layout. It was abundantly clear that we needed to update the entire system. He gave me what I consider to be a very fair estimate for the work. The price he quoted me was fair and especially given the magnitude of work that needed to be completed. After another company removed the sewage and soil, George and his crew were able to completely replace the entire drain piping for all of our bathrooms, toilets, shower, bathtub, clothes washers, and even discovered a clogged vertical drain line in the kitchen that they also replaced. Throughout the entire process he kept me informed multiple times a day - both before, during, and after all of the work was completed. Everything was tested to my satisfaction before making the final payment. I simply cannot thank George and his entire company for what they were able to accomplish in an emergency situation. You guys were a life safer and this incredibly professional crew showed up on time, worked several full days, and cleaned up at the end of each day. I recently used this plumbing company and the plumber was Miguel…read more Initially we hired him to fix a bathtub, which wasn't draining properly and he said he was able to fix it. After starting the project, he called us and told us he was unable to fix it, but was going to try and work around it. The next day we noticed he actually made the problem worse and the tub wasn't draining the water at all after he went to "fix" the problem. He charged us the full amount and we paid him but the issue was still there and we called him plenty of times to return and try to fix it. We gave him plenty of opportunities to fix it and he claimed he did but the issue was never resolved. After over a month of trying to get a hold of him and having him fix the mess he did, we finally gave up and hired a different plumbing company. We proceeded to call Miguel and let him know we hired a different plumber and that plumber was able to fix it and clean the mess he did. We let Miguel know we were going to need most of our money back because he did not fix the issue he was hired for and in fact made it worse along with a huge hole on the exterior of the wall. Miguel then said he would call us back to see about the money and completely ignored us and our multiple calls and texts. We called him for over a month and he ignored our calls and texts. We finally tried calling him from a different number and he finally answered because he thought it wasn't my husband or I calling him. We let him know we needed our money and he said he wouldn't give us anything back because he charged for his time and material. We let him know we would pay for his time but his useless material was available to be picked up because the second plumber we hired said that wasn't the proper equipment. We just want our money back but trust us we will never use M & M plumbing or Miguel again. They were not a good business and we will not recommend them to others.

I don't leave reviews and not that they need yet another 5-star review to add to their almost 1K perfect reviews, but they said they'd still appreciate one so I gladly leave this review. George and John are two very sharp and highly knowledgeable plumbers. From the initial call/text correspondence through work completion, they were very informative, personable, highly skilled, and extremely efficient plumbers. Never could I have imagined plumbing repair work could be such an easy and pleasant experience. I initially thought I was going with another plumber due to earlier availability but once I was quoted double by the plumber (also a family-run business with high Yelp ratings) who hadn't even attempted to see inside the shower part, I immediately reached back out to Rishon. Not once did I feel uncomfortable as is often the case with service providers who try to upsell and take advantage. To provide context, I was fully informed of the potential extent of repairs needed to resolve a leaking shower (old house with old fixtures), which could entail an entire valve replacement (requiring breaking of drywall) if a simpler cartridge replacement would not be possible due to calcification, and that this could only be confirmed upon physical inspection. However, to my utter surprise and delight, they were able to fix the leak without even having to replace the cartridge! They're incredible -- they inspected, took parts out, further inspected, maneuvered, blew, etc. and it was fixed. I was just taken aback by their honesty in letting me know this and their integrity to not even charge for this. Now the cartridge will likely need to be replaced at some point and they did let me know it's a part they've not come across but they're looking for it. They will be the ones to replace it when the times comes -- along with any other plumbing job in the future. They've got a new lifetime customer. They also did another job of flushing the water heater, which I understand is a must for regular maintenance. Straightforward, fast, and they come prepared with everything -- highly recommend to extend the life not only of your water heater but also your pipes and fixtures as well as to prevent leaks. Our building had a plumbing emergency yesterday with the rain, and Luis showed up at less than 45…read moreminutes later. We have subterranean garages, and it was clear that the pump had failed, as we had a giant pool of water within 2 hours of rain that was quickly encroaching the garages. Luis showed up, checked the electrical system and determined it was working. He noticed that the pump was bubbling, and suggested that it might have become disconnected from the drain pipe. He gave us a quote, and offered to temporarily pump out the water to avoid damage to the garages. However, when we mentioned the pump was new, he was honest and suggested that it was likely under warranty and that the company that installed it should manage the issue. He waited for a few minutes while I called the previous company, who sent a technician later in the day and found that Luis's assessment (disconnected pump) was correct. In the future, we will be switching to Fords Plumbing. They were quick, through, and honest.
