Jasmine called back within minutes after I requested service on Yelp on Saturday and arranged someone to come on Monday morning. Eddie came to diagnose our leaking water heater. He came on time (important!), put his booties on (without me asking for them) upon entering the house. He was very knowledgeable and informative, explained what he was going to do, and what's most likely the issue with the water heater. After about half an hour, he called me back to explain that what the issue was. He contacted the water heater manufacturer to order the parts needed for the repair (under warranty) and explained that he's coming back to fix it once I receive the parts (hopefully tomorrow). Very professional company. They scheduled me for the next day at 8am. I received a called around 7:15 informing me that the original plumber has vehicle issues so I would need to be rescheduled for 10-12pm. No big deal. I didn't like the fact that I was not able to get any general information regarding clearing a slow draining tub. Of course the give a free estimate (nothing is really free, I'm sure that cost is was rolled in). I wish I would have known it was $155 to snake the drain. Other company's quoted me less over the phone. When the plumber came out he determined that the piping was not sufficient. He gave two options for multiple thousands of dollars. We paid for the snake and thanked him for his assessment. read more

I am so thrilled to have MLP so close by. I recently moved into my new place and noticed the kitchen sink was filling up. An initial inspection showed that the outlet used by the garbage disposal was faulty. I got the outlet fixed and ultimately decided to have the garbage disposal removed after chatting with Josh about my options. He never pressured me to make one decision over another but just shared the options. In removing the garbage disposal he did notice there was another valve that had rusted and told me to consider having that removed. Since this was the end of day of the garbage disposal removal he scheduled a return for the next morning, he was here less than an hour. For a reasonable amount I got great work done. Josh was professional, cheery, informative, and so kind with his energy and effort. While I'm hoping to not need to call on MLP again I know anytime I do call I'll get an honest and thorough estimate and great work done. Also, since I'm in the process of moving in my kitchen floor is incredibly dirty. When Josh arrived I told him it wasn't necessary to use the show booties since the floor was a mess, he insisted, nothing but professional. read more

Called because our water pressure unexpectedly dropped over the weekend. Eddie M. came out first thing Monday to check out and replace our 40 year old water shutoff valve, which had broken and was partially stuck. I had a recurrent drain clog that I was able to unclog myself the first time with a $50 Home Depot rooter I attached to my drill. However, it returned in 3 weeks and after a days work I couldn't fix it. I called Major League plumbing based on good reviews and they sent out Josh. He unclogged the pipe with a much more powerful rooter machine and then showed me with his camera how it looked inside. The problem was the 40ft foot cast iron drain pipe that was the only remnant of the original plumbing (1947) that hadn't been changed through the years. I agreed with Josh the best thing to do was replace it. He quoted me around $5k. They did the job in one day. The iron pipe was a beast of a pipe to remove but they removed and disposed of it. They installed the new pipe ABS with a quality joint connector. Josh said it was not a cheap Home Depot connector which the previous plumber Mr Rooter used. I took his word on it. Their clean up was good. "Candy"the helper did a great job. The next day they came back and hydro jetted from the front of the house to the street. They were able to get some roots removed but not all. Josh showed me that there was a 4ft section where the drain pipe accessed the city street sewer that was with roots that they weren't able eliminate with the Hydrojet. So I learned Hydrojet can't cut everything. My previous plumber Mr Rooter was supposed to have fixed that but I was able to see with Josh's camera that they didn't go all the way. That job was done 20 years prior. Josh is a good man, a straight shooter, friendly. He did everything he said he was going to do and he was honest. I highly recommend Josh and this company. read more

We had sewer backups in our toilets and baths/showers. We called Major League Plumbing, who had done excellent work for us in the past. The response was within one hour. It was determined that our sewer line was blocked and that the line did not have a clean out access. MLP located the optimum located for and installed a clean out for addressing future problems. The installation was complicated by the fact that our sewer line was Vitrified Clay Pipe and required some extensive 'extra' work. The owner himself assisted and eventually completed the job. The line was cleaned of major root infestation and the resulting clean line was show to us via their camera. Despite the 'extra' complications and time the charge remained the same as the original estimate which was probably half of a competitor's fee. A+++ read more
