I had a restroom sink that was clogged up and it was getting really bad. So, I reached out to a few plumbers on yelp and created the project and Ace Plumbing could come the soonest. A rep from Ace shows up in the window of time we had setup. He tries to snake the clog, to no avail. He said the clog was a little too deep and too hard, and this would probably involve having to get new pipes (which probably isn't a bad idea). Total cost would be in the thousands. I can't do that now, so I just paid the fee for them to come and try to repair ($135.00). I ended up calling another plumber who works on the buildings in my area and they were able to snake out the clog. Maybe they just went a little harder into the pipes, but yeah, problem solved now. So, maybe, protip here would be, if you're having a plumbing issue, contact your HOA to see who they recommend for these types of issues. Or, if you've bought a house or buying one, get the information of the plumbers / workers who worked on it prior, since they might have a tad more information about the intricacies. read more

Fantastic service from friendly, respectful people! We had an issue where our bathtub would drain out water even when the drain stop appeared to be fully closed. We called a few different plumbers and were told we would have to replace the entire drainage system, costing over $1k or we could just remove the built-in drain stop and buy a new stopper - no one offered a solution to actually fix our problem except Ace. They came out on time and were communicative ahead of arrival, offered to take off their shoes before coming into the house (huge bonus points there) and went to look at the issue. Before fully determining the problem, they started to talk through solutions and promised they would fix the issue that day. All of these things were important to us and they prioritized that. As it turned out, a small toy was stuck in the drain causing it not to close all the way, so no real work was needed, but because it was an easy solve, the didn't charge the full amount for their time and they were so friendly in showing me how to take off the drain plug in the future if we needed to. I would absolutely call them again, not only were they solution-oriented but they were so friendly and it was clear they are not out to take advantage of people. So refreshing! read more

This is my 3rd Yelp review.. I had to write because my parents and I had a great experience with Chris and his team at Ace Plumbing and Rooter. It all started at 3pm on Monday when i noticed water backing up in 2 showers with 2 of the toilets not flushing. After calling around and getting pricing and availability I chose to give Ace Plumbing a try. Darcy who answered my call was very knowledgeable about the main sewer line clogs and the size of the rooter/snake machine they would need to use. She had Chris call me and after we spoke i felt we were in good hands. Chris showed up a little affter 5pm. He used a medium sized rooter machine to snake our 2.5 inch clean out pipe. He then snaked a larger pipe underneath the house about a foot inside the walls. He then snaked the pipe past our driveway going down the hillside into the junction under the street. When this didn't work, he believed there was a root intrusion in the pipe somewhere under the drive way. He was going to get the larger rooter machine and come back, but his team let him know that one was being repaired. Chris arranged to get another machine and come back first thing in the morning. Tuesday morning, Chris and Nathan showed up with the larger rooter macine. They snaked the pipe underneath the house and managed to clear a few spots clogged with roots. Nathan also used a smaller rooter machine to snkae my mom's kitchen sink. It frequently would have water backing up when using the garbage disposal. Nathan didn't feel any clogs so they believed it was the clogs in the main pipe that was causing the back up in the kitchen as well. Chris ended up charging for the use of the large machine only. After all the work he did on the first day, this was extremely reasonable and generous on hsi part. Chris offered to give us a courtesy camera inspection of the main sewer pipe underneat the house to see if the entire pipe or part of the pipe needed to be replaced. By 12 noon that day,, Chris came back with his father and Nathan along with camera equipment that went about 70-80 feet into our pipe. They recorded a few spots in the pipe underneath the driveway that had some root intrusion. Chris said that in order to replace the section of pipe, the concrete driveway didn't have to be broken open. They could dig into our front lawn//hillside around the pipe and get at it that way. Chris sent me a copy of the video footage they took and said he'd put together a few different estimates for repair.. I was too stressed out on the first day to take photos of the 3 pipes Chris tried to clear. But I did take photos on the second day of the camera inspection. I've also included a still photo of the root intrustion from the video he sent me. It's such a relief and a blessing when I find a company and repairman who is honest, reliable and skilled at what they do. After speaking with Chris I found out that it's a family run business for over 30 years and they are local to the Palms area. If you have sewer line issues or need pipes cleared of clogs, i would definitely give Chris and his team a call. Thank you Ace Plumbing. Hope to do more business again. read more

TLDR: Warren was amazing. Highly recommend Ace Plumbing. Details: we had a gas leak with our fireplace key valve, which prompted SoCal gas to shut off the gas to our entire house until we fixed it. So we contacted Ace (who knew plumbers also do gas lines?) and Warren came out on a Saturday morning to cap the gas line and voila, no more gas leak! Warren was on-time, courteous, and hilarious. A little humor goes a long way imo. He says he's been doing this for 35 years and you can tell ... he knows what he's doing. We'll definitely be using Ace again in the future! read more

We have been calling Ace Plumbing for a few years and love working with them when an issue comes up... which in our building, have been more than a few. From mystery drain pipe from the roof deck, a clogged shared line with our neighbor and even issues in our garage, Chris has always been responsive, gets the job done quickly, never feels like he's trying to upsell you (which happened a lot with our previous big business plumber). This is how you earn repeat business. We had a small leak appear connected to our bathtub, reached out via Yelp around 12p for a quote and soonest availability. We heard back 30 minutes later with a preliminary quote and that a technician could arrive between 4-5p. Chris showed up promptly within the window, took a look at the leak, which turned out to be a relatively quick and easy fix. This local family-owned business is a gem. From Darcy the office manager to Chris and his team, the service was outstanding. We had leaks in the drainpipes under the house. I searched on Yelp and was impressed with the reviews for Ace Plumbing and Rooter Service. Our experience matched the excellent reviews. Darcy scheduled a service call quickly. Chris came and diagnosed the problem, took photos of the aged leaking drainpipes from the kitchen sink, clothes washer, shower, bathtub, bathroom sink and toilet. He explained exactly what work had to be done and sent us a proposal with a reasonable price by the end of the day. The work was scheduled and completed timely. The communication was excellent, the plumbing staff arrived on time, were friendly, professional and efficient, and took photos before and after the work was done. I to commend Chris and Ace Plumbing for helping my mom with her water heater problems. She is 95 years old and she wasn't receiving any hot water. Spoke with Chris and he quickly scheduled her in for the next morning. Upon arrival, Chris inspected the water heater and said that there was a good chance it still in working operation. He disconnected/connected the gas line and relit the pilot. Everything worked. It's not often that when a plumber will hold back on an opportunity to sell a new water heater.
