Beware of this place. They charge extra fees without telling you and refuse to allow you to cancel your membership. This is a fraudulent business that should be shut down. They will keep tacking on extra charges and will never allow you to cancel. Even if you stop the payments, they will drum up a bunch of fake charges and send it to a fraudulent collections agency. Planet Fitness is a much, much better option, as is Wildcat Fitness. read more

Small but good gym. It's just what you need, nothing crazy or advanced. The gym is one big room. The offer cardio equipment, free weights and machines. There is only one section where you can have free space to do ab workouts or stretch. I wish they had more areas like this because it's small and fills quickly. They have different memberships but the most basic one is about $20 a month which isn't bad. Some hidden fees to make yourself aware of though. The advanced membership allows you to bring guests and also offers tanning and hydro massage which is cool. Overall, if you want a small, simple place to get in and workout and get out- Workout Anytime is your place. read more

Five whole stars because I love this gym so far! I'm going to admit, I have not had luck with gyms in the past. I get suckered into a crappy contract, some kind of dissatisfaction occurs, and then I'm either stuck with what I paid or I have to fight to try to get out of it and get a refund. That is not this place! I visited just before the gym opened because I read online where they were having enrollment specials since it was a new location. I figured I'd check it out and possibly get a membership if I felt comfortable when I spoke with someone. (I was determined not to get suckered again haha.) Luckily, I spoke with Jen - who happens to be one of the owners - and she and I chat about my past experiences with gyms and she told me a lot about Workout Anytime. I felt comfortable speaking with her and trusted that she was in it for the right reasons. She didn't try pressure me into anything and even tried to walk away while Joe and I talked about joining, which I thought was really nice. But I had made up my mind already that I wanted to join, and I did. Since signing up, the gym has been setup with TVs and new equipment that works wonderfully, and the place is really clean. There are people from all walks of life that are here working out, and that makes me feel even more at ease when I go. (I've been to gyms where it's full of bodybuilders and that's a bit uncomfortable for me - but I don't feel that way here.) The gym is 24/7, which I LOVE. I enjoy working out at night, so it's perfect for me. In summary, check them out - I think you'll really like the gym. read more

This is an update to my original review. Easier than typing a new novel. The good: This place is cheap. $15/month if you don't want the hydro massage or tanning bed access. The cleaning crew is fantastic. Super friendly and there daily. You have 24/7/365 access, but don't even think about going in between 4-7pm, it's slammed. The owner is pretty awesome. I had a great conversation with her and it is very clear she cares but her business and her customers. Honestly, that's extremely difficult to find anymore when it comes to fitness centers. Most owners care about numbers and $$$ not the people. The bad (direct attack on the landlord): The roof has been an issue for months. It rains as much inside as outside. The floor in the free weights has been repaired several times in the year I've been a member, and clearly the owner is having to take responsibility for it because the landlord won't do the right thing and cut the floor out and repair. It seems a lot of problems that plagued Fitness 19 have continued because the landlord could care less. They sit back, collect the check, and say screw the customers. Not the fault of the owner, and honestly I feel bad they have to deal with it. The ugly (this is personal pet-peeve section): Apparently people cannot read the signs that say to put your weights back. This is not the fault of the gym owner/staff, but it is ridiculous. Everyone working out there is capable of putting their weights away, so they should. There are also social lifters who spend more time talking on a machine than working. It is about as bad as LAC/LAF. And of course, don't let me forget the LUNKS who think it's cool to slam 95lbs deadlifting. We get it, BRO, you lift. Chill out. I really hope the owner is able to make some headway with the landlord. This is one of the nicer gyms in the area and the only one I know of with an owner that takes pride in their business and cares about their customers. Maybe it's time for those of us that care to step up and tell the rude co-customers to clean up their crap and be respectful or hit the road! read more

Beware of this place, was told to come in before the 28th of the month to cancel was never once told on the phone that I would have to pay another month worth of membership fees. What's really crazy is the so-called owner of this place is who I talk to you on the phone. She was very nice on the phone but when you come into the gym she will talk very loud interrupt you. And then when you try to talk or say anything she'll tell you not to raise your voice or I will kick you out of the gym which means I would not be able to cancel my membership and I will Oh another month of membership dues read more

I recently cancelled my membership at my previous gym & joined Workout Anytime due to its convenient location to where I live. First the down side: sure it's a small gym that can be quite crowded especially during peak time, some of the equipment could use new covering & would it be too hard to have hand soap at the sink & fix the water fountain?! Now the good: the staff, the members & it is very affordable. The staff has always been very helpful (shout out to Mario) & the members cycle through the machines & weights quickly. I was so frustrated at my old gym waiting while members visited or camped out on equipment, treating it more like a "wait" room than a weight room. This is a group of friendly men & women that take their fitness seriously. It has everything you need in the way of machines, weights & cardio at a good membership price. It's a nice, small gym and I joined with my husband about 3months ago at Boston Rd. Employees and trainers are super nice and helpful. The 3 stars is because about 75% of the time since we joined, the air has been messed up or completely broken. It was over 90 degrees in there today so I opted to run outside rather than on the treadmill. After lifting weights for about an hour, body body was drenched with sweat. Something has to be done because we paid our year in full, but I can't take the heat in that gym? read more

24 hour gym, but most definitely not 24 hour services. Great equipment but their staffed hours are not convenient for 3rd shifters. You can't bring guests in after "staffed" hours, you can't use the tanning beds after "staffed" hours and you can't use the hydro massage bed after "staffed" hours. There goes my money down the drain, and their staffed hours are horrible Monday-Friday 9a-8p and Saturday 10a-4p and Sunday 11a-4p. One more thing, your guest has to be 18 or older. I can not wait for Planet Fitness to open up on Nicholasville Rd in the Fall, I am high tailing it out of there to a true 24 hour/ service gym. read more

Overall, a good value and great convenience. With two kids and a tight schedule; I was looking for a gym that had flexible hours. For only 15 dollars a month, you really can't do a lot better if you are looking for a basic place to work out. The gym has basic cardio equipment ( treadmills, elliptical, recombinant bikes), free weights, and machines, with a power band area in the back. There is also a small locker room and showers available too. For an additional monthly charge; you can also have access to tanning and hydro massage (which would be a great selling point for some, but I've never tried it). Workout Anytime is a great gym experience. The prices are a deal and I like that I'm not stuck in a contract. The fact that I can exercise and tan all in one facility is super convenient. Gyms can be intimidating, but not this one. All different types of people go there, so I never feel like I don't belong. It is clean, safe, and the equipment is top notch. I got a personal trainer! I have been a member for about 3 or 4 months now. At first I felt intimidated by all the equipment so I focused my attention on cardio. It didn't take long for me get tired of the same thing. I didn't feel I was getting anywhere. When WOA hosted their grand opening I agreed to go not sure what to expect. Deep down I knew what I wanted but many reasons I would hold back on a PT. I finally broke down and asked to speak with one. One of the attendants introduced me to Robert P. At first glance I was extremely nervous but once we started talking I was able to speak up explain what I wanted. I've never had a PT before so I am in no real position to compare. I will say this, when it comes choosing someone to help me; be it Doctor or otherwise, I prefer someone who not only listens, has experience, but also explains their reasoning for how they are choosing to help. Robert has these qualities. Plenty of experience, from starting in mid teens to military to power lifting. He is excellent at demonstrating and explaining the workout in details. While performing said workout he will watch and correct any flaws he sees. It's not enough to just lift weights. There is a right and wrong way to do it. I feel that Robert takes great pride in his work and should not be taken lightly. Should you be lucky enough to become a client of his make sure you want it and are ready to be committed to it. I am committed and feel fortunate to have him as my PT. Like my primary care physician, I wouldn't trade Robert for any other. read more

It's not the absolute best gym ever (would want a separate room to stretch/warm up/yoga/etc.) but I think it's really nice, and it's better than the other gym that was there. The interior definitely surpasses the boring old one - plus bathrooms with showers (!! and they're always clean) and lockers. Most of the equipment is arranged in a way that you can easily walk around it, so you don't feel like you're up on someone, but then a couple aren't. Good cardio selection, evenly spaced as well. The tanning beds are the equivalent of "faster" beds at Sun Tan City. For the most part the staff is real friendly, seems helpful and knowledgeable. It's pretty diverse and just a overall great atmosphere. Plus the music is almost always good. read more
