The sea salt coffee was really good - smooth and flavorful. But the banh khot and com tam were a bit disappointing. The meat was overcooked and dry, and the portion size felt too small for the price. Hopefully, they can improve the food quality because the drinks were great. Service was a bit slow too.

First of all, very sweet and helpful staff. This place is quite spacious, nice ambiance with outdoor seatings. Their drinks just have the right level of sweetness for me. I love the vibe, definitely come back.

The food is delicious, the vermicelli noodles are a bit high in MSG, the staff is attentive, the goat curry is delicious but the goat has a slight smell, the drinks should be a little less sweet, the avocado smoothie doesn't have the fragrant smell of avocado, I would like to give you some suggestions for the restaurant to improve better.

Omg the salt coffee at HdK is literally life-changing . One sip and I was like "bye Starbucks " - now this is my everyday morning spot. The coffee hits strong but that salted cream on top makes it sooo smooth and addictive. HdK basically became my daily routine--walk in, grab my salt coffee, and my whole day is instantly better. Trust me, once you try it, you're hooked. #saltcoffeeislife

    Vietnamese iced coffee with boba

LOTS of space, very friendly staff, a to-go as well as dine-in option. I had the Viet coffee with boba, and it is delicious though a little small. But I'll be back as it's on my way to work. I also appreciate that they are open very early, which many tea shops do not offer. Great vibe. They also have a nice outdoor seating area.

My wife, visiting oldest daughter, and I wanted banh mi for dinner. We decided to give this new Vietnamese cafe a try because of the buy 4 get 1 free banh mi special. We ordered three grilled pork and two special banh mi to go. The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, very good. All varieties of banh mi had Vietnamese pate spread instead of butter. My wife and I really preferred pate over butter in our banh mi. But oldest daughter prefered butter. The grilled pork was nicely seasoned and tasty. The banh mi could use a little bit more pork. The special had the usual Vietnamese cold cuts, but also had Spam which we loved. We really enjoyed our banh mi. Prices lower than the surrounding competitors. Also the competitors usually have the buy 5 get one free special as standard. We like the buy 4 get 1 free special better since it is just my wife and I living under one roof. Counter service was quick and friendly. We will return to explore the rest of the menu.

This looks so good! The layers are perfect -- creamy milk tea, that rich brown sugar drizzle, and also the matcha cheese foam on top, yummyyy! Absolutely refreshing

Luckily, there was the Vietnamese spot nearby called ULike Tea that was still open. It really felt like being transported back to Vietnam. They have those table and stools outside with a lot of people lounging with street snacks. Their viet coffee was only about $5 and I got the sea salt version. It had nice flavor, coffee was smooth with a hint of bitterness. It is an unassuming place, yet it was popping at this time. I was pretty impressed with my coffee

Ulike? Why yes, I do…read more The Bellaire Asiatown location of Ulike Tea chain is vastly different from its OG northern counterpart. It's not nearly as pretty, far less English friendly, and open super late (#1). While the drinks are average compared to other Viet-owned milk tea spots, it would be considered quite good for places open past 10pm. Post-dinner option? Absolutely. The interior is smallish, but they've managed to cram a good number of seats both in and outside. These are interesting because they remind me of something I've seen in Southeast Asia, namely the fact of furniture is condensed and also at a height that makes it noticeably different from what we would see around most cafes. Late at night, one can always find a decent crowd of young folks drinking and eating just outside the cafe. The wall mural is well done and is something like I would feel like I would see in Vietnam. The claw machines are simply a sign of the times. The drinks are someone average across the board with the exception of their coffee selection. The sea salt coffee as well as the regular cap phe sua da Viet coffee, are quite good. Ube coffee is a tad on the sweet side and the coconut coffee is only recommended for folks who really love coconut. (#2) Milk tea is fine overall but I don't feel necessarily better than the dedicated specialty spots. Fruit-Based teas such as longan is much more refreshing. Surprisingly where I think they shine is the food. The series of bites make for excellent late night snacks. Their coconut Viet style pudding is very tasty, the crispy rice (com chay cha bong) has a nice crunch, the grilled rice rolls (banh trang cuon chien) are good when fresh, stir fried corn (bap xao), and the fried combo (lac muoi tom) is always a hit. Skip the fried dumplings and popcorn chicken. Customer service is generally good. English speakers won't struggle too much, especially since the menu is a picture menu. They accept credit cards and there's plenty of parking almost always. __________ (#1) Midnight every night. (#2) Not the essence, but actual coconut bits.

It's located in a large shopping complex but that particular corner is concentrated with a bunch of other popular coffee shops and bakeries. It made parking in the general vicinity somewhat difficult. As expected on a weekend, the place was super busy. The inside is very cool and modern looking. I can't speak on the customer service because of an ordering kiosk and minimal interaction with the staff. It's cool and all, but since it was my first time, it would have been nice to ask questions. What this place is known for is phin coffee which is a type of drip coffee that gives you a much higher concentrated brew. They have all sorts of flavors for that but they also have a lighter version called white coffee. I wanted something lighter so I went with the Banana Cream White Coffee. It came out pretty quick and I was on my way in no time. Upon first sip after getting in my car, I almost turned around to get another coffee because the drink was so delicious and I had only went with a small size. This drink was amazing. Yes it was the "lighter" version, but I could still taste the coffee. The banana cream topping was a first for me but who knew banana and coffee combined could be such a delicious flavor. I took my time and savored this drink. If you like matcha, they also have quite a few options for that. They also have teas and espressos. There was a display of different cookies that I later found out was a big seller. Prices are a little high and the lack of human interaction to order was my only complaint. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable cup of coffee. I think I'll even go as far as saying it is one of the better cups of coffee I've had in Houston. I will most definitely be back!

So glad to hear that one recently opened up in Houston. Would LOVE to take my cousins here one day…read more Environment/Atmosphere - Super crowded when we got here, but the lines moved fast, and there was a kiosk to self-order if you didn't want to wait in line for the cashier. One of my favorite things was how fragrant the space smelled while I waited for my boba. You could tell there was an exceptional tea aroma lingering despite all the cream and sweetness. The place was exceptionally clean for being so busy, and the workers consistently cleaned as they made the drinks, so you knew you could trust the sanitation here. Drink Design - I have to make a separate comment on how CUTE these drinks were. I loved the intentional sticker placement over the lips and the little carrying handle. You could tell they went the extra mile to make these drinks not just flavorful, but an experience in and of themselves. Even their receipt paper felt luxurious. That sounds ridiculous to point out, but the thought behind every aspect of this place is impeccable. High Mountain Pouchong Tea w. Lemon Juice & Mousse (Creamy Lemon Tart) - After all the sugar I had today, this lemony drink hit the spot with its perfect tartness. The cream had bits of lemon zest in it, adding to the aroma. I tried to adjust the sweetness when I ordered and was told it had a built-in sweetness, but if I found it too sweet, they would happily switch it out for another drink. I felt like I was dealing with Amazon's generous return policy--and luckily, the drink was perfect, so no return was needed! Creamy Mango Tart - Literally like the Lemon Tart, but mango. I loved this just as much and really enjoyed the refreshing flavors of BOTH tarts. Instantly a fan favorite. Dong Ding Oolong Tea w. Fresh Milk - Very mild and creamy, almost like a mellow latte. Not my favorite because it was a bit too creamy after everything else I had today. Still, I loved the tea profile and can absolutely see why others would love it. Overall, I love, love, LOVE this place. 1000/10. From the experience to the quality and intentionality behind every little detail, I couldn't be happier with my visit. I never thought I'd ever say that a drink was so Instagram-worthy, but these drinks were beautiful--like models of the boba world. Would go back in a heartbeat. This has officially won the spot for my favorite boba place.

The vibes reflect their culture well and I'm here for it. They have a bunch of pastries and a wide range of coffees to choose from. I tried the rose Adeni chai. I don't know about the rose part of it. It was basically the a cold foam part of it but I don't feel like the flavor tasted like rose or anything, just had the pink color. The Adeni chai did taste authentic. I also tried the Turkish coffee and that was strong and bold. I don't feel like the taste was too strong for me though, it was easy to drink. I also liked the presentation of the coffee. They put it in a traditional coffee pot. If you like strong coffee then this is for you. I tried the meat samosa and it was crispy and the inside was a mix of onions and minced meat. It had a nice texture for me but the inside wasn't to my flavor of taste. That's just in my opinion because I don't like onions. I then tried the Knafeh cheesecake. The Knafeh wasn't as crunchy as I thought it would be but the cheesecake portion was just like an original cheesecake, tangy and rich. I enjoyed the cheesecake. I guess I was expecting of a more of Knafeh taste like the top would be like half Knafeh instead of like sprinkles. Nevertheless, it was still good it just wasn't what I expected.
