The course itself was decent. I understand they're about to close for overseeding, so I wasn't expecting pristine conditions. I'm also a loyalty member and play these courses regularly, which makes today's experience even more disappointing. Today, 8/25/26, I had the displeasure of dealing with an employee named Jim (employee #3771 according to my receipt) in the golf shop. My buddy and I were walk-ons and simply came in to see if we could get out. From the moment I spoke to Jim, he was unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and acted as though my presence and completely reasonable questions were an inconvenience to him. When I asked about a beverage cart, he aggressively told me there wasn't one. When I asked how busy the course was because we were hoping to get through the round fairly quickly, he snapped at me as if I had asked something outrageous. When my buddy came in to check in, Jim didn't even bother greeting him and gave him the same rude, irritated treatment. There is absolutely no excuse for treating customers this way, especially loyalty members who regularly spend money at these courses. We weren't demanding anything, complaining about conditions, or giving him a hard time. We were simply checking in and asking basic questions before our round. I have no idea why Jim was having such a bad day, but customers should not have to bear the brunt of an employee's attitude. Management needs to address this behavior immediately. If someone working in the golf shop is this visibly irritated by having to interact with paying customers, particularly over basic questions that are part of his job, then he probably should not be the person representing the course at the front counter. I play these courses often, but an experience like this makes me seriously reconsider continuing to give them my business. Completely unacceptable customer service read more

Horrific conditions. This is apparently the only course in America which can't grow Bermuda grass, in the full sun, in the summer. Why? Likely overwatering. The course was muddy around the greens. The greens? Also in bad shaped. Punched three times in the last two months, but never cut, nor rolled. Bermuda fairways in that climate should be full and lush and the greens should be rolling 11. The golf course is very interesting due to smaller, rolling fairways and elevation changes. There are a few water holes as well. Rounds take longer than usual due to poor marshals. The golf course is rarely in great shape, but rarely in really poor condition either. read more

Next time don't place a 5some in front of a 3some on a Sunday morning at 7:20am. Better yet, be a better golf course and do NOT allow 5somes on weekends! Could have finished our round in 3 hours! If you can't play this course in less than 4 hours, your pace will be characterized as "extremely" slow. So even if your group finishes in 4 hours and 10 minutes, you will be constantly harassed and bullied by arrogant Marshalls. When you sign for the cart, be sure you write the time when you started, then go to the pro shop and show what time you finish. The head pro's office is not in that location but he relies on the tattle tailing of his staff who enjoys tormenting his customers. We rather take our business to other golf courses in Las Vegas. The golf course itself is beautiful but your golf experience is shitty. read more

Really nice course. Play here almost every Saturday morning. Only complaint is the drink cart gets started way too late. Many times you don't see one until you're almost done with the round. The par 3 14th is one of the best holes and views in town. Greens are always good. Only downside to the track is how close the houses are to the fairway, but other than that...very fun course! read more

Shout out to Highland Falls for being above and beyond. After trying about 20 public golf courses in Vegas this was the best so far. The worker gave us free range balls before our tee time and the lady filled up my large cup of water for free. The course and range is spectacular with glowing fairways, smooth greens and beautiful waterfalls all for $59. Each hole is different and the elevation creates nice city views. read more

Staff were so nasty. They want our golf league with 32 players to finish in under 4 hrs..EXTREMELY RIDICULOUS!!!! The golf tournament director emailed us that we were extremely slow. Our group finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes- that is not extremely slow but just right for a golf a league....WE PLAY GOLF TO ENJOY THE GAME AND NOT BE RUSHED. read more

Played there on 5/4/2023. The greens were horrific. Mowed or more like scraped with a light amount of sand on them. They played like hitting into plywood. The greens were patchy also. The ball would not roll true or even close to it. It did not look like the greens had been aeriated also, so that was not the problem. Greens looked like they had not been watered in a week. I hit a pitching wedge high into the green to the front, and it rolled off / skidded off the back. Putting backspin on approach shots did not work because of the way the greens had been sanded. The fairways were ok, but not for the price for resort fees. Don't waste your money. Only good thing was the view on the back nine. One spot were we took a panoramic video. read more

There are 3 courses in Sun city all public although the Residents do think they own the courses. Out of the 3 the best course is Highland falls, this course has a beautiful lay out and landscape is immaculate compared to Palm Valley. Eagle Crest is also nice for a quick round considering it is an executive course. Highland falls has some great elevated tee boxes with some challenging greens. The staff are more then friendly and I feel the course is worth a 50 to 70 dollar green fee. I have been charged a lot more for courses in bad shape. I played a round of golf Saturday with 3 out of town friends. On the 1st tee we waited for the players to get out of range before we hit our 1st shot. The 1st hole is a short par 5. We waited for the grren to clear before we hit our 2nd shots. 2 of our players hit the green in 2 and 2 other shots came up a little short. The marshal Marvin came up to us and yelled at us for creating a backup on the tee box. My friends wondered what the heck was Marvin's beef. We finished the 1st hole and waited on the 2nd tee to hit our tee shots. I would suggest that Marvin doesn't know how to play golf. read more

This Golf Course is the most convenient one for me to get to a practice range, so I'm here frequently. It's a small course tucked away in Sun City Summerlin. Here's the breakdown of the track: PROS - Relatively cheap. You can get on the course for $20-$25 during the Summer. - Nice practice facility. It's small, but rarely gets crowded. There's an option to hit off of mats or grass, which is nice. There's a small practice green too. - It's a nice course for a mid to high level handicap player (15+)....because it's a short course (see CONS). - Decent condition. This golf course is kept in nice shape throughout the year. CONS - It's a short course. 6,512 yds from the tips, 6,017 from the white, 5,579 from the gold....ladies tees are 5,099. - Limited food selection. There's not much in terms of food....a small snack bar. - Limited pro-shop. They have the basics, but nothing worth purchasing. They don't have too many high end products here. - Sometimes there is no beer cart on the course. This happens when the course is slow....they won't bother to send out a beer cart. I don't drink while playing, but I like to have a few Gatorades & Water. Overall, it's not too bad. Great course for beginners or if you want to sharpen up your short and mid-range irons. We had a group play here on Friday for a friend's bachelor party. The course itself is in decent shape, has great views on the back 9, has water on several holes, and was fun to play. Its a bit short so long hitters might not find much challenge unless they are trying to drive all the 320 yd par 4's without hitting into the houses. After the round we had a few beers and lunch in the dining area and it was very good food. Josie took care of our tables and did a great job. My only complaint would be cart staging upon arrival. Our group of 12 checked in 30 minutes before the round but no golf carts were out. As we got called for 10 minutes and 5 minutes to tee off, still no carts so we went and got them ourselves. Need to work on that. I'd play it again. It was fun, interesting, and lots of movement in the greens to make it a challenge. read more

Hadn't eaten here in a few years. Shared house salad & naked wings. Neither of us enjoyed the meal. It was a lot of money for 6 wings that had very little meat on them and a salad that was mostly lettuce. Most likely will not return for a while which is sad since Highland Falls is part of our Community. read more

Highland falls is a hidden treasure for Vegas. The out of towners don't get to this courses due to low publicity, but that's just fine with me. I play this course about three or four times out of the year and always enjoy it. play from the blues and you'll get a variety of shots from 450 yard par 4 to reachable par 4s. The finishing hole is dog leg right with water hazard along the right side for the power faders. The staff is very friendly and the rates are extremely reasonable for Vegas golf. Great scenery of the strip from few of the holes and never a dull moment on the course as you navigate through the alluvial. read more

A very solid, extremely fast course with great views of the Las Vegas strip -- the best I've seen so far from a course. In terms of play, fairways, tee boxes, and traps were all well maintained. There was very little give or hold to the greens, but they were in great shape and a challenge to putt on. Ended up paying ~$85 for visitor rate/18 holes on a Saturday, which I found to be one of the better weekend deals in the area. This will definitely be one of my go-to courses outside of the top tier courses in the area. The clubhouse was nice, although I was a bit disappointed they closed their kitchen earlier -- I believe around 6ish. Although beer was available ... I was starving after my round and had a long wait for my uber! read more

Highland Falls Golf Course - No 14 - Golf Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

This is a good, forgiving course. It is ideal for those just getting into golf. Not much trouble and wide fairways.

On April 26, I played this course with several of my friends. I think there were 8 flights in our group. The whole time we weee playing we never had any interaction with the marshal. We finish our game and went home. That afternoon, we were informed by our coordinator that the marshal accused us of playing very slowly and that we did not finished playing 18 holes within 4 hours or less. In view of this, our entire group is now banned from playing at Highland Falls Golf course. They implemented the ban without so much of giving us the courtesy of discussing our alleged infraction with us. I play golf to relax and not to stress out. If the golf course management expected us to finish in less than 4 hours they should have informed us at the start so that we could have taken our business somewhere else. The people who decided to ban our group should be given a course on how to deal with customers in a courteous manner. They were so unprofessional and I do not want to deal with these people again. I think one star is to much for them. If I can give them 0 star, I would. read more

I agree with the other reviewers that there are some nice views of the strip and that this is mostly a short course for beginners. However, neither mentioned how there is no drinking water anywhere on the course. There was no cart girl, and there was no Marshall coming around to give water. Charging 40 bucks in 100 degree heat and they can't afford to give some water bottles or put out some water stands? I say incompetence. This course had just punched their greens recently so i can't judge what the greens are like in good conditions. The highlight of my experience came when i started the round on the first hole and i saw some guy driving my direction on the right side of the fairway. I just figured he had hit a bad shot from the 9th hole and was looking for his ball because the pro shop had made it clear that we weren't supposed to drive on the fairway in the first 9 holes. He ends up driving back to the cart path on the first hole and then starts walking out to the right side of the fairway. I had no clue what he was doing but he pointed at my ball and i hit it and kept going. Then for the next 5 holes he played as fast as he could to ride my ass. I then figured out that he was actually playing the first hole and i hadn't asked him to play through or anything. Well, after the round was done and i was putting my clubs in the car, he drives over in his cart and says "hey you stupid kid, why didn't you ask me to play through on the first hole?" I was like, "cuz i thought you were on a different hole, this is my first time playing this course and i had no clue what you were doing." Then he gave me an evil stare and says "bull shit" and turned around and drove quickly away. I went to complain but the golf shop was already closed, i came to find out his name is Gorden and he is actually a Marshall there who happened to be playing golf. He must not be making enough to afford golf on his social security so he had to take a job as a Marshall to get free golf. Boy do i feel sorry for anyone who has to put up with that fat old loser. Would i suggest anyone to play this course? Definitely not and I will make sure to take my complaints to every social media site possible and decrease revenue as much as possible for any course who treats their guests as this course did to me. read more

I actually really liked this course. It's a short course but it's still somewhat challenging, though for a really good golfer I'm sure it would be an easy course. The views on some of the holes are spectacular...especially on the 14th hole, a par 3 with almost a 360 view of the Vegas Valley. There are also some fun elevation changes, which is always a plus for me. Customer service was great from everyone I ran into. Make sure to get ice from the restaurant since the coolers on the carts don't have any. Warm drinks don't work to well when golfing in the summer. Overall, a really good experience and I would love to go back. read more

It seems like every other reviewer has a 'D' in his name, but my experience was most similar to Jimmy D. I will say my group was very fortunate that it had rained earlier in the day so it was cooler than normal (80-85 vs 100 the next day) and the course was completely empty. It is a relatively easy course (but no pushover), but the views are very nice and the fairways were kept in fantastic condition. The greens were punched so that was disappointing since we didn't know beforehand. However, given the condition of the course otherwise and the fact that we had free rein over it since no one else was there, it was a great outing. I do agree with Randy D that it's ridiculous that there are no water fountains anywhere. And since it was empty, the bar and pro shop were closed and no cart girl was to be found. All in all, given the price and the condition, I'd say it's a great value and I'd return. read more

Awesome course! My biggest thing with golf courses is how the people at the front desk treat you and I felt welcomed and appreciated at the course. I golfed there the beginning of February and the course was in good condition considering the time of year. The greens were great condition. It was the perfect combination of challenging yet easy. I'm a 14 handicapper and never felt like a hole was impossible but never felt like I could just slack off. If I had family coming in town this is the place I would bring them because they would feel welcomed and I could guarantee they would have an enjoyable round of golf! read more

Golf course was in nice condition. Great views of the strip. Terrible customer service, though. Pro shop was decent enough, but cart barn workers were not friendly, Marshall never checked to see how we were doing, and in 18 holes of golf we never saw the beverage cart once. Thank goodness it was in the 70s or that would have been miserable, as there were no water jugs on the course. Only one restroom on the course, too. Great golf course, but would not recommend the service. read more
