A very nice store, with very friendly staff. They go much out of their way to help customers, and provide what is needed. The prices can be a little high, but that is the tradeoff. They still often have sales which can be quite reasonable. The bakery is excellent, with plenty of good options. At the meat counter, there are also a lot of good choices, and very helpful staff. read more

Very nice family run grocery store. A few locations to chose from I've been to both the Manchester and Coventry locations and I like the Manchester store a bit better because they have a bigger prepared food section. The prepared foods are fantastic. I also picked up some bourbon steak tips based on a recommendation of a buddy. Now be prepared.... They are more expensive than the stop and shops and big y's but I feel better supporting local businesses. The places are clean and there is always a store employee available if you have any questions. read more

This is one of the nicest grocery stores in the area. Quality food, a great deli, great sushi available, and outstanding customer service.

We recently made a Craigslist purchase, and decided to meet the seller in this very public parking lot. Having been running around all morning we arrived hungry and thirsty. We showed up about 30 minutes early, so we decided to grab a bite to eat. While visiting the lobsters with my son, we met a woman with her children. They had come in, to pick up some freshly made sandwiches. She said that they were the best in the area. Hearing this, I had every intention of buying a deli sandwich. Had the deli line not been so long, and so close to the pizza counter, I would've bought that sandwich. But, the golden cheesy glow of the three UFO sized pizzas was calling to me. I purchased a slice of the pepperoni, to split with my son. The nice guy behind the counter offered to give it an extra slice down the center. To that man behind the counter, I say, "Thank you". That one slice took up an entire small pizza box, and it would've taken a shovel to lift it! The layout of this store makes it easy to find all of your shopping needs. This was our first visit, and we were able to find everything that we needed and check out within minutes. The store was clean and the shelves were well stocked. They offered a variety of brands. The cashier was friendly and efficient. We were greeted with a smile and left with a pleasant, "Have a nice day." We picked a spot on the lawn in front of the store for our impromptu picnic. The pizza was of the thin crust, light on the sauce variety. My favorite combination. There was just enough pepperoni, that you got some with every bite. Between the two of us, this slice was devoured within minutes. While sad that the store isn't closer, my waistline appreciates the distance. read more

Highest quality grocery market around with the best service. Whenever I go to highland park I never have to wait in line not because it's not busy, but because there are the right amount of people working and they are efficient. Every employee I have encountered has also been very friendly. The meats are expensive but the freshest you can get. We like the marinated steak tips and skewers to grill. The different kinds of burgers and sausage are another favorite. They also make great paninis! Stop in and get one for lunch :) read more

Yeah, the prices won't exactly blow you away, but you also won't walk away feeling like you just spent an hour at a corporate-inspired warehouse, only to give away your hard earned money to "The Man." Highland Park Market is indeed a step into the past, but remains modern enough to be a respectable supermarket. Good produce, a nice meat section, and a few prepared foods for lunch on the go. Of course, this is also a place where service reigns supreme, another sad-but-true reflection of the supermarkets of yore. The deli cutters still smile at you, the stockboys still help you, and nice young men will bag your groceries and bring them to your car if you like. Do a shopping here once in a while, support local business, and feel good about yourself. The extra few bucks is worth that feeling. read more

They sold me putrid chicken multiple times. The chicken was warm to the touch which means they have poor food handling practice or non working refrigeration. They are a health hazard to the public. I emailed their manager and was ignored every time. read more

Food and presentation of food GREAT On the high end side for price. Not quite Whole Foods but high. But the girls who check you out are just snotty. There is alway plenty of people to check you out but they are all teenage kids. No eye contact, sort of vague hello, always talking to the other checkout girls. Seems like an inconvenience to be in their line. The boys seem fine, ask if you want paper or plastic, put your grocerys in the car. But the girls over the years, and I live in coventry, have always just been apathetic, not rude, but unwelcoming. Almost mean girl. I'm an adult. But many of my friends say the same. Unless they know your kids or something, they are just unfriendly. Too bad the food is so good. Great lobster. I don't go there unless I have to. read more

This is such a nice market! Every time I have ever came in here the staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything they have there is super fresh. The bakery is great and the bread they make in house is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. All the meats are great and they even have some pre-made things. I got chicken cordon blue which was fantastic! I hear they make great deli sandwiches which I keep meaning to get when I go in there. I also got sushi the other day which was pretty tasty not extremely fresh but good for a grocery store. It is a little pricey but worth the money I think read more

LOML and I have been going to Highland for a couple of years. The meats and vegetables are very good, fresh soups, sandwiches and pizza above average and it seems I never wait for a cashier when I'm ready to go. On top of all this...the cashier is always pleased to empty my hand basket for me when I plop it onto their conveyer belt. Very nice touch!!! And, if you are a damsel in distress and need your package taken out to the car in the rain...plenty of bag boys to assist with that too. Not the cheapest, but great value. read more

A great locally owned grocery store. You won't be blown away by cheap prices but they make up for that in customer service. The deli is great! Try the buffalo chicken lunch meat- yum! Their meat selection is great and we've never had problems with it. read more

We moved to the area in 1991, and have been so fortunate to have this gem available for all these years. We are unable to buy meats and deli items elsewhere. It's that much better! Not the cheapest, but they have great sales sometimes. Try them. You'll be glad you did! read more

Excellent meat and deli qualities. they will try to meet whatever your needs are, many times I have them cut roasts in half for just the two of us. their deli sandwiches are great, and their deli meats are always fresh. Pizza is very reasonable like$2.50 that takes up the small pizza box, and not skimpy on the pepperoni. My only dislike is the cake area, they always have frosting or a candy coating on them which I'm sure people like, but if they could make some without all the sugar, I would appreciate it very much! They also make sure there are no long lines checking out, and a nice gentleman taking out the groceries for you. If you cant find an item, you can ask anyone in the store, and they walk you right over to it, you never have to hunt to look for help. If you want an item they don't carry, they will order it for you if they can get it. they check it out on their listing and lets you know right away. Management does a great job with their handling of the store and keeping their staff happy. read more

This is a great store right in Coventry! Everyone is very helpful and friendly. They have wonderful options from fresh meats to freshly baked items. Also available are pre-made meals and soups, as well as made-to-order pizzas and grinders.
