They seemed very capable Of replacing our garage door motor and belt drive. They didn't specialize in our type of motor but offered a replacement option and bid three levels of replacement fully installed. They were friendly and I did not have a negative experience. We ended up using a different complaint but I have to say that this company was the first to respond to the project request before 7am in the morning and they were at our home to assess by 10am. I had a great experience and feel like they could have done the work just as easily.

My daughter had just come inside after closing the garage door behind her. The spring snapped while the door was closing, slamming the 450-lb wood garage door to the ground. Attempting to raise the door was pointless, so both cars were stuck in the garage. The former owner of our house had used another company for garage repairs, and there was a sticker by the garage opener, so I looked them up on Yelp. 3.2 stars? No, that won't do. I did some quick searches and came across Affordable Door Co. Their 4.9 rating with more than 100 reviews told me what I needed to know, so I called and left a message. Mary Anne texted a short while later, asking for a pic of the inside of the door. She then called and was able to tell me the size of the door, give a base cost for the repair, and let me know about other potential repairs that might be needed once everything was broken down. Ok, fine. Let's talk about how soon someone can come out. We settled on Leo arriving early Tuesday morning, which then would've given enough time for my wife to get her car out of the garage for an important announcement. An hour or so later, around 6:30 on Monday night, my phone rings. It's Leo, wanting to know if it's too late for him to come out and do the repairs now. I was caught a little off guard, but yes, that would actually work well. Leo showed up around 30 mins later. I showed him into the garage, and he gave me a brief overview of what he'd be doing. Less than an hour later, Leo let me know he was done. He walked me through what he did, showed me a few other pieces that needed to be replaced, and also talked to me about following up in a few years for maintenance and to have the metal rollers (which were still usable now) replaced with nylon rollers. Service by both Mary Anne and Leo was top notch....better than top notch, if such a thing exists. I didn't price compare, but I'm guessing what I paid is comparable to what others charge...and even if it's a bit more, you definitely get what you pay for. Affordable is the company I'll go to for all future garage door maintenance and repairs....and their sticker is now near the garage door opener.

We have been having intermittent issues opening and closing the garage door. We called Lakewood…read moreGarage Door and they sent out Ryan to see what was going on. He listened to the issues we were having and started to check the system. He quickly and efficiently determined that the connection in the logic board was flaky, (the vibration while opening/closing the door would cause a glitch and the opener would stop). He noted that when the connector was bumped or jostled the light would go out just as it did whilst operating the door. He explained the three options to resolve the issue (replace the logic board, replace the opener, or having us buy a new opener and he'd install it. All three options which presented a great value). He wasn't sure if they had a replacement logic board as the opener is 14 years old (Craftsman 1/2 HP). He disconnected the faulty one and went back to check. Fortunately they had a new replacement logic board, he called to see if it was convenient to come Back and install the new board for us He installed it efficiently and professionally. We reprogrammed the opener remotes and key pad. It is soooo nice to have an operational garage door opener again! Ryan continued working, even redressing the sensor wires to the opener (as when the garage door opener was installed the wires were just draped over them support hardware and looked like a rats nest), oiled the moving parts in the garage door (including spring) all after checking to see that the door moved easily and was balanced.
