This doctor should retire honestly, I bought ny 2 1/2 HEALTHY German shepherd dog in for a routine…read morespay in March 2025 this was after a well visit in January 2025, after dropping her and waiting for a call for pick up I received a call from Dr Nebrzydoski stating " your dog is dead" I asked if this was a joke and he repeated no " your dog is dead" Upon picking up my dog the front desk was rude which was an ongoing theme there and the doctor could not explain what happened or answer any of my questions or even try to speculate a possible complication that led to my dogs death, the only clear thing he stated was " all my techs are licensed" leading me to believe that a huge mistake was made and that's why I encountered lack of compassion and apology. For a vet who has been treating animals for decades you would think he would have an answer or a shred of empathy. Per the perfect OR report there should have been zero complications on a routine spay. There were also 2 doctors in the room at the time , the other doctor did not have the decency to show face and express any sympathy. They did not offer assistance to help me get my beloved Gracie to my vehicle and I had to carry my deceased dog to my vehicle in the dead of winter in the Catskills and have an excavator dig a grave for her. Please think twice before bringing your pet here, I wish I had.

She was a little over 4 months old and as part of our adoption agreement with the Sullivan SPCA we were required to have her spayed and they used this vet. The procedure was part of the adoption fee that we paid. We dropped her off in the morning and received a call later in the day that our puppy, Izzy, died. The chances of death during a routine spaying are like .1%, but our girl is gone. She was the greatest dog and we love her so much. When my husband called the vet to find out what happened we were told the procedure went fine, but she later had strokes or a blood clot and they did everything they could. He wanted to drive the hour to see our Izzy and make sure it was her, and take her body back to bury her in her yard, and they told us we couldn't see her or have her because she is still the property of the SPCA. We paid our adoption fee and we raised her, did everything we needed to under our adoption agreement. She's ours! We also had an issue when we first brought Izzy home in April. She had horrible diarrhea from the day she came home and was underweight. So we contacted the SPCA about a week after when it didn't go away and they had us bring her back for treatment from this vet. They said she had giardia and gave us about 4 days of liquid medicine. She wasn't getting any better after taking the meds so we ended up taking her to our own vet. We found out she actually had coccidia and we got the right meds to treat and cure her. I don't know if it's because our dog was an adoption through the SPCA and they aren't getting paid enough by the SPCA, but they didn't care about our baby. They were heartless when speaking about her death and they seemed to not want to treat her illness when she was a little baby. Don't go to this awful place!

Anyway, we dropped him off at noonish. Julie, the groomer, had the dogs stacked up in her salon like the planes on the runway at LaGuardia. She is busy. Amazingly, only one barking. A pup, she said, didn't yet know the rules. YES MA'AM. No fooling around here. Gizmo went through the entry gate willingly YAY! and we left. Several hours later, we got the call. Picked him up, a perfect cut. She said he got fussy when she did his nails and feet but we had warned her accordingly and she said it was quite common. Success!

Drop your buddy off and in 2-4 hours I am usually hearing from them, calling for a pickup and when I get there the dog is not shaking and appears unscathed by the experience and is non the less for wear. I have never had a groomer who cared about my pet the way they do. They do a great job with my Shih Tsu. This breed can get nervous but Harley seems to love the place. The prices are cheaper than the other groomers around also. The place is small, but don't let size fool you. They are BIG on customer service, (both the dog and me). Our 6 year old was especially enamored with the experience. While Tamerlaine is clearly a believer in animal rights, the tour wasn't pushy or judgemental at all in terms of their vegan beliefs. We were so in shock with grief we allowed her to direct us to put our animal on a steel scale, without his towel, RIGHT NEXT TO THE OVEN. He died weighing 6 pounds, significantly under their cutoff for the first level of pricing. Why was this necessary????? HIGHLY TRAUMATIZING. After the paperwork was signed, she said, "You'll have it back tomorrow". It? Really? Our beloved pet? Don't get me started on the plain white tin. They have a nice display where they rip you off on the prices of decent boxes and urns. After we got back to the car, my husband raced back in and retrieved our cat's body (and our check). We took him to our usual vet clinic, which is WONDERFUL (Wallenpaupack Vet Clinic) where we and our cat were treated with the kindness and respect we would have expected. Our wonderful cat will be cremated by the good folks at Abbey Glen in NJ (who have cremated most of my companion animals). (And for the same price.)
