Sadly, my experience with Mitch was not good. Essentially, he left the job unfinished and didn't give a hoot. Review: Hired Mitch to check my A/C refrigerant levels and my furnace gas pressure. These are basic tasks for an hvac professional. Here's the result: A/C work was done and loaded an additional 2 pounds of refrigerant. As asked for, he sent me pictures of the readings before and after. The only downside of this work was that he used and took one of my tools to perform the work. After 3 requests, the tool was returned 2 weeks later. The furnace work was not completed. When asked, Mitch stated he forgot his manometer. If you don't know what this is, it's the most basic tool one needs to check gas pressures in a furnace. Forgetting it is like a painter forgetting their paintbrush, or a carpenter forgetting their hammer. But let's assume Mitch did forget it. He made no attempt to come back later to finish the job. Despite knowing I was grumpy about this, and even when he finally returned my tools he borrowed, he still made no effort to check the furnace (which is a 10 minute job). The oddest thing is, during the home visit, Mitch's assistant spent 5-10 minutes in the furnace room. What was she doing in there if not performing the work I requested? Shady to say the least. One thing he didn't forget was to try and upsell me a $6,800 water purification system. read more

Bang! Just like that, 5 stars. Check out my other reviews, I don't give many 5 stars. I have a rental and the tenants complained it was cold even though the thermostat was set appropriately. I called these guys at 7:00 pm MST and he was out at my property inside of 30 minutes and had the problem fixed inside of 20 minutes. The whole thing don't take longer than an hour! Here's the beauty of this, he had to replace a part on the furnace and after hours and the bill was just a tick over 200 bucks. I paid with Venmo and it was done. I look like an awesome landlord. They gave us options that included repairs and replacement, and the explanations were thorough for each option, including pricing. While everyone I interacted with was kind and professional, it was extremely frustrating to schedule anything with them and in the end, they canceled the job two days before they were set to install our new AC. We had to reschedule each appointment 2-3 times, most times with about an hour notice that they weren't going to make it. After going through that, their pricing increased $1000+ within a six month period. Once we had finally scheduled an installation day, and arranged our time and weekend plans to make it work, they canceled two days before the install day with no attempt to reschedule. Our A/C broke down over the weekend, so I called about five companies trying to find someone to come out. The first company didn't have availability for two weeks, 2 of the other three did not call me back. One did and could see me in a couple of days, However, when I called Mitch on that Monday morning - he answered the phone right away and said he could be out later in the day. Therefore, he was obviously super responsive for us. I also found him to be knowledgeable (he did fix the problem), down to earth - straight-shooting, and willing to chat about other issues without fuss or extra fee. I had an AC that wasn't working correctly. Mitch showed up and said that my AC was shot and had to be replaced. Something seemed fishy. Mitch then sent me a quote for $5,800 for a new Rheem system. I still didn't feel right so I checked around with suppliers and got the name of a reputable person whom I called. This other person came out, looked at the AC and said someone has unplugged it and disabled the unit. He then repaired the unit, and it's working like a champ. The bill? $1350. Saved me $4,450. I own multiple houses and belong to a network of over 250 houses. Bussiness's like this need to be called out on their dishonesty. I too can now say, I had exceptional service with Mittch. Our furnace went out. There was a glimmer of hope after I replaced the igniter. But next day, furnace went out again. Mittch helped a lot even before he came out. Then he came out promptly, accurately diagnosed the problem, ended up being motherboard as to why furnace worked temporarily, but finally the relay to the igniter completely failed. Mittch double checked everything else. He worked to get the furnace firing up, the same day, a day before the snow arrives. Our furnace went south on us on a Saturday night. I phoned Mitch at 9:00 in the morning on Sunday and left a message, he returned my call within 10 minutes. Mitch said he could be at my place that same Sunday afternoon. He arrived as promised and kept me informed about his ETA. Mitch and his helper diagnosed the furnace problem within about 15 minutes. We had an emergency issue with our HVAC system later in the evening (around 10 pm) and had called a company that had previously come out to inspect our furnace (won't name the company, but it begins with a M and ends in oore). Well, we called that company because they claimed to provide 24/7 support and needless to say they didn't come out. So, close to being the proverbial donkeys on the edge, we found Mitch's number and gave him a buzz. Called us right back and came to temporarily fix the problem that night (so that we could sleep in peace), and then finished the job the next day when he did have other appointments scheduled. We were soooooo very grateful for his help since we're not handy man people in the least and he and his partner in crime Tyler were so great to work with. It's hard to find that go-to team of service folks that you can rely on for normal maintenance and emergency concerns (and also won't nickel and dime you), but Mitch is definitely being added to ours. Our air conditioner stopped working on Sunday at 2pm. I literally called about 16 companies that claim to have 24 hour and after hours service but did not. At 8:30 pm, HRHA agreed to come out and fix our AC. At that time it was 83 degrees in the house! They fixed our AC, gave us recommendations and didn't charge us an arm and a leg! We had them install a new furnace. Talked to Mitch on the phone and he was great at first. He sent out someone who showed up on my door and ask why he was there. He had no idea why he was there. Told him to fix the furnace. He called Mitch and said he was going to go buy a furnace and would be right back. 4-6 hours later he showed back up. He was at our house until after 8 pm. Mitched asked if we wanted it inspected and a permit pulled. We told him yes. Well that was in January of 2018 here we are in November of 2018 with no inspection. He charged me an extra $150 for the permit that he never pulled. I have contacted him many times. Last text says..."I'll have him set it up then text to confirm" That was 06/7/18......Don't expect they will do as agreed. See his response below. In reference to that doing a good job is not taking a 4 to 6 hours to got get the furnace. I'm more pissed about you keeping my $150 for the permit that was never pulled. He also said someone named Laural and someone named issac was going to set up the permit....never happened. Your comment about the truth will set you free well how about I post the text messages between us so everyone can see who is telling the truth. I gave you more than enough time to get it done and now I want a refund for that amount. Mitch came out on a Saturday shortly after I called. Getting parts ended up taking the better part of the day, and he finished my repair around 7 p.m. He stayed in touch through out the day, letting me know exactly what was going on. He was very knowledgeable and seemed reasonable in pricing. I am sure that many other companies would have cost a lot more! He tried to keep the costs down, however, my furnace did not cooperate. Kane Upchurch installed a whole house humidifier for us. Mr. Upchurch made time to install as soon as possible, which required he install "after hours" in the evening. Price was less than other quotes for the same equipment. We were so impressed with the communication throughout the process, work done, tidiness of project and fair price. Kane Upchurch, the owner, personally came out to install a whole house humidifier and water softener system and it was very reasonable. He didn't try to upsell me on equipment I didn't need like other companies had tried. After the installation - there was a minor manufacturer's defect in the humidifier. Kane came back out immediately and fixed the problem. He also went about and beyond to make sure it did not cause any damage to our HVAC system.
