We were out of town for the recent cold snap and snow storm. Our daughter was taking care of the house when there was no heat. I found Paradise on Yelp and was very pleased. With two little kids in the family, we were concerned for everyone's comfort, especially since we assumed every HVAC company in town would be swamped with the first freeze of the year. John said first thing in the morning, but would try to be earlier. Paradise installed a new furnace and central air unit for our home, replacing our old and inefficient furnace. The estimator did a great job looking at our entire house and making sure we had the right sized units, and they even double-checked their work before the installation. The crew were fantastic and very easy to work with, and I was impressed by their work and attention to detail and follow up. Billing was a breeze and the office was attentive to any questions I had. The work that was done was fine, but they don't give written estimates for the work they do. I was verbally told that the job would cost $390, but when I got the bill it was $530. Not acceptable. read more

John & Manuel installed our AC last spring. All the estimates we received were around the same price and the companies--all had been recommended by our realtor--seemed good but John had been the most thorough in his inspection and proposal and gave me most confidence. On the day they did a great job. Really took the time to make sure we got what we needed: checking exactly how we wanted the unit placed outside; spending extra time to run all new the thermostat cables inside the walls (unlike the old one); cleaning up thoroughly and following up with us later to make sure everything was ok. John is the best! When he came for the estimate, he really took the time to investigate the problem with our furnace and air conditioner. He's the first person in 20 years that found a solution to our problem. Our air conditioner wasn't blowing air into the upstairs rooms and John took over 2 hours to research the problem and fix things he saw that he could fix quickly. We were able to schedule the repair within a week. When his workers, Manuel and Dimitri, came they were on-time and pleasant to work with. They replaced pipes that had been crushed by other repairmen, worked hard (no downtime) and were finished ahead of schedule. Manuel happily explained what they were doing and answered our questions. And, they cleaned up afterwards! Many service professionals don't do that anymore. Jason also works with John and called me or texted me with quick answers to my questions. John and his crew did a wonderful job and for the first time in 20 years I can cool my house without running every fan I own. They found and fixed the problems and now the air conditioner runs better than ever. The price was very reasonable for the time they put in and work they did. I highly recommend John and will use him again for any yearly inspections, repairs or for replacing our furnace in the future. read more

They were great. The only issue I had, is that I tried to pay via their online system, and it wouldn't take any of my cards. I called, and they couldn't get my cards to go thru via the system at the office either. I had to mail them a check, and I really suck and remembering to mail checks. They are a great company and my system works wonderful...that was the only snafu! :) read more

I would highly recommend John with Paradise Heating and Cooling. We had our carbon monoxide monitor go off in our home overnight and immediately the next day had ARS come out to look at our furnace. They told us our heat exchanger was cracked and we needed a new furnace. We got a second opinion from an independent heating and cooling company. They told us the furnace was fine and no issues or CO were detected. John with Paradise heating and cooling came out for us to get a 3rd opinion. He was able to diagnose that our roof vent which allowed the exit of carbon monoxide from our house was plugged up. We had our roof replaced 4 weeks ago and the roofing company plugged up the wrong vent which was causing our home to be filled with toxic CO. If it were not for John and his diagnosis of this problem my family and I could have died and we could have spent thousands of dollars replacing our fine working furnace. We are forever grateful for John. read more
