I don't know where to get started on the number of red flags I witnessed at my first experience here. I will begin with the pros because there are less of them. The environment is friendly and the waiting room is clean and welcoming. Front staff is helpful and the gears of the business operation run smoothly. However, onto the cons. I came in for a wheel alignment since I had recently replaced the front two struts & coilovers with OEM parts. I was hoping they could raise my rear end aftermarket shocks in order to match the difference in height with the front... and I was told the shocks were installed incorrectly and I have been running the risk of the suspension going through the interior of my vehicle (mind you, I have been using my car for 2 years). Whatever. They proposed changing the whole rear end and had me wait nearly 30 minutes to calculate the solution. They wanted to charge me nearly $1,500 for the REAR suspension on my 2016 NISSAN. This would've cost me more than the replacements made to my front end, and the front end is composed of many more components than the rear. I ended up just putting coil springs on the control arm and it nearly matched the front end, then was able to do the wheel alignment elsewhere. These people will target the wallets of newcomers. I was referred here by Discount Tire Shop in July of 2013. Highline Automotive took care of my vehicle the same day and offered a nice waiting area while I waited. Discount Tire picked up the tab but I spent the time checking out the facility and told them I would be back for service because I really like them. I have been there 2-3 times and really loved the service. Wish they would be more consistent with the AAA discount of 10% if you show the card if they claim to be AAA approved. Sloppy careless work. Find somewhere else for your vehicle service. It was real big of you to fix my "minor " bolt issue. I don't consider improper suspension assembly or burning a hole in a steering rack boot minor apparently you do . That says a lot about the work you do. Be careful! Went for a wheel alignment and was quoted over $700 in unnecessary repairs! Told it could not be aligned until repaired. I took my car back to my mechanic and was told the parts they said needed replacing did not. Ended up at Firestone for the alignment with no issues! read more

HONEST MECHANICS! Yes, you can say those two words together when talking about Highline Automotive. Long story short - my out of warranty car was fixed with a "courtesy warranty" (look up Ford Fusion failed steering), Ford also said I needed other things fixed (probably to offset the $1600 warranty work). A week later, car dies again. Went to Highline Automotive because a friend suggested them. Honest and forthright with my car, did not do any unnecessary repairs. Friendly too! My new auto mechanic!! So they quote my wife on labor and parts so she can get her car aligned. She got it fixed at another place but still came here to get it aligned, but the manager there got touchy cause we didnt get it all done here. What a big baby, do not come here, they are probably overcharging you, and for them to get offended like a 15 year old girl that got cheated on. Not good business. read more

When i got a flat tire on my trailer Highline Automotive was the only place open. They have great hours, even on the weekend. The tire was fixed while I waited in the waiting area. I was so happy, I took my car back for some service and it was repaired quickly and looked good as new. The waiting area is great. The garage itself is clean and well organized, not like your typical shop. They take pride in the work they put out. I've now referred several friends to them as we'll. it's nice to have a place you can go where you know your not getting taken advantage of. I am all about supporting local businesses, but unfortunately I cannot support this one. We brought our truck in for an alignment (referred by Discount Tire). I received a call back from Highline stating the alignment cannot be done until some repairs are done. $1400 worth of repairs to be exact (all 4 ball joints and inner tire rod). I was even told our vehicle was not safe to drive off the lot and they recommended I get it towed. I felt something was off. I took my car to two additional mechanics (at two different locations) for a second and third opinion. Both mechanics stated it was just the front left wheel bearing... the ball joints and everything else was fine! Needless to say, the repairs were able to get done for well UNDER $500! It's either an inexperienced mechanic or someone was trying to take advantage of us. Needless to say I would never return here or recommend anyone to come here. read more

Long & short, woman answering the phone giving me a quote of $120.00 to bleed four brake cylinders on my grand-kid's car. She becomes indifferent when I ask her to check that price with someone as that's quite extreme for the job. She tells me she has been doing estimates for years and knows her stuff. I was really impressed with the place when I arrived. The staff was very courteous. I left my car for an advertised $39 front end alignment. When I returned to pickup my car I was informed that an alignment could not be performed because my car had suspension parts that were worn out and needed replacing. They provided me a detailed repair estimate that included a list of parts and labor totaling $1300. I knew that was a great price because the parts' total were right on par with what I paid when I personally replaced those same parts along with others, three weeks ago. I quickly envisioned someone stealing all my new parts off my car and replacing them with old worn out parts last night while I was sleeping. My main purpose of going there was to get my steering wheel centered which would remove the lights on my dashboard that came on after replacing the parts. I was in such shock, that I could say nothing. I thought, maybe his mechanics provided him bad information. I doubt because when I got home, I jacked up the car and looked. The parts are still shiny and new looking. Before leaving, the guy just as nice as when I first arrived, smiled and told me he wouldn't charge me for the inspection they provided. I thanked him for his time and left. Wow... i still can't believe I experienced that. I guess my business attire made me look like a sucker. read more

I took my jeep to a few shops after experiencing problems with my steering and suspension. My jeep would sway while driving. It appeared as if I was driving drunk. The auto repair shops I took my Jeep to couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. When I took my Jeep to Highline Automotive, after a brief inspection, they figured out what was wrong with it. It turned out to be that I needed an adjustable trackbar since my jeep has a 3 inch lift. I ordered a Teraflex trackbar and had Highline Automotive install it and align my jeep. The only positive about this place is they seem to be nice people. That is until there is a problem. I've had many cars/trucks here and when they get it wrong they refuse to fix no matter how many times it goes back for "warranty" issues. This place deserves 10 negative stars, I was extremely disappointed with the service provided by the owners of this so called business. Save your time, your money and your patience, They will beat around the bush. They had my car for over a month I kept calling the owner to get a progress report and 90% of the time his employees would not transfer the calls I had to go there personally to get him to tell me about my car. After the car was completed I drove three blocks from their shop and the car sounded & acted worse then when I had taken it to them. Be advised if u want good customer service and great mechanical work this is definitely not the place to come. After everything was said and done I had a deductible of $100 from my warranty and believe it or not they tried to get me to pay $250 for some parts not cover under my warranty. I spoke out about this issue and they realized i wasn't going to pay it so they said it was ok that i didn't have to pay it after all. I went there yesterday because my car has had a problem for about 2 months that none of the backyard mechanics I have been to were able to fix, my check engine light was coming on and off and my car would vibrate and or shut off at traffic lights or heavy traffic. Well, I dropped off my car for this problem I had been experiencing, I get a call an hour later from Stan at the front desk telling me my car won't start at all and I need a new starter for $325 before they can even look at it and its parkerd infront because they can't even start it to get it in. I let him know my car starts fine and I find it odd that all of a sudden my starter went out..I don't agree to it I tell him I will call back. Bet they did not realize I was just around the corner, I show up..guess what..my car is not parked in the front, its already being checked out I go straight to the garage and ask the mechanic, my car is not starting? He says it does start but I can tell there is something wrong with it..I say okay that's fine it has always been that way for the past 8 years. Anyway Im so glad I showed up I can't believe they tried to scam me like that..other than that..they did end up fixing my problem at a reasonable price and before I left Stan explained what is wrong with the starter..but he never apologized for lying and exaggerating about the starter and trying to scam me. read more

I heard that the previous owners did not do very good work but a friend of mine referred me to them so I gave them a chance. They are under new management and they recently hired a new technician who is an ASE master certified technician which I had a chance to speak with. He seems very knowledgeable,thorough and clean which is what I expect from my mechanic. I think this place has turned a new leaf also with their management who is very friendly and personable and the prices are very competitive. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars is the parking lot is kinda small but otherwise I would recommend them to anyone!!! read more
