The western fries were not that great either, as they were also too thick and had no seasoning. The place is Korean-owned, and they were pretty friendly and welcoming. There's limited seating inside, but most patrons seem to get their orders to go. The shelves are not very high and you can see all across the store. Made you feel vulnerable and that you might be judged for the selection you made. If I remember correctly there is a prepared food area or maybe a deli counter. I didn't pay attention to this much as I wasn't there for that. Customer service here was pretty decent. They greeted and made chit chat with every customer that came in the market. Even though this is convenient for the area and an asset, they could do maybe a little something to make it feel less unwelcoming inside. It has a sterile feel to it, which is a good thing for a market with fresh produce, but there is really no character to the place. DR Grocery is a full stocked, local community grocery store offering a great selection of items for those unable to get to a traditional grocery store. This area is a known "food dessert". Just note, this is a legit country store, offering random canned items, dried goods, toys, collectibles, drinks, snacks, and even hot food. We saw a patron come in, looking for charcoal, and there was a bag hiding behind the front door! We stopped by, as we had heard about Mr. Jay's famous burgers - we ordered one to share, open to any toppings he recommended - ours came with fresh Romaine lettuce, sliced onions, a hot pepper spread, sliced fresh jalapenos, cheese, and mayo, all nestled in a locally baked bread. This was a simple, but a tasty burger! The freshly-ground beef is picked up every morning, from the slaughterhouse that is across the street; I don't really want to think about that all too much, but just know that what you're getting is some fresh proteins! Mr. Jay also grows his own peppers and such, so you'll taste the freshness! There are a few comfortable chairs around the store, so you can definitely just sit and enjoy your food, or take it to go - we opted to dine-in, and we almost fell asleep since we were that cozy and relaxed!
