I was very pleased and when Jeff was cutting my hair he reminded me of how Chef Ramsey is when he gets in his cooking mode. He took his time and talked to me about what I wanted. He gave suggestions as well which I took into account. He did some things to my hair I've never had done before. I've been seeing a hairstylist that works here for almost 11 years. Her name is Gabriella and she is a very nice and personable woman. I model for a living a recently had to be a hair model for a Master stylist for Oribe in NY. This stylist has worked with Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Lopez and other well know celebrities. When he asked me who colored and cut my hair, I told him and he was surprised to hear she was not with a high end salon of a major hair brand. I asked why he said that and he replied because she has maintained your color and given you an excellent cut! Mind you I was a month out from my last appointment with her because I had to have my hair grown out. Anyways, I say this because it speaks to how talented she is at her craft. She is a master with color, color correction and she knows her technique. If you haven't gone to her, you must! She is the best in my mind and I will never let anyone else cut my hair! The staff was kind a courteous. They asked me about my hair and expectations before referring me to Jeff. I was nervous because I have naturally very curly hair and dark hair. Jeff was brilliant. He is patient and listens. He walked me through what he was doing and made me feel comfortable. My hair was lightened a bit at another salon and he had to do some color correction. I've been going to Hightower Salons for years. We found this place because my husband needed someone who could cut a flat top hair cut, and apparently that can be a lost art. We found a stylist here that could do it, and does it well. Generally, this is a salon where each space is owned by an independent stylist. They have hair stylists, nail places, eyebrow threading and lots of other types of personal care businesses here. You can either call the receptionist or walk-in and they match you with a stylist that will work for you. I've had eyebrows and nails done here as well. Just had my hair highlighted, cut and styled by Mira and I absolutely love it! I have long thick dark hair that can turn brassy red when it's colored so it's important for me to find someone who understands what works with my hair type. I can't say good enough things about this place. I went on a Sunday, which they are normally closed, but some stylist were available. I called Saturday just to even see if they were open Sunday. The receptionist was very nice and booked me an early appointment Sunday. The stylist I saw was Mira and omg!!! Originally I just wanted to cut my ends and call it a day but she brought up layers and I was so up for it. It was quick, efficient but most important it looks like she spent HOURS on my hair. She rolled my hair in the rolling brushes and left them there for 5-10 min. When she unrolled them... I was transformed. I've had a lot of hair styles but my oh my. I've never looked like this before. My confidence level went up 100%. I was FEELING MYSELF! I was expecting to pay $100+ for such a great haircut and service. But nope!!! It was so dang inexpensive. I had the worst experience ever with the "stylist " Stephanie from Louisiana suite 200 I told her I wanted long layers and not to cut any of my length as I was trying to grow my hair out. Well she chopped my hair so bad that I can't do anything with it at all its uneven and she chopped most of my length off it has taken me a long time to grow as it grows slow.
