Recently my granddaughter was driving her car on Smithville Rd in Eastampton. With summer grasses being more than knee high, she pull over to the side of the road to discover it was a ditch. Mr. Allen's Auto and Towing was on sight in seconds. He was kind, considerate, and concerned about the safety of my granddaughter and her baby. He had the car out of the ditch in 5 minutes. He checked it for safety as to whether her, not she should drive it with the baby in the car. The worst place to ever go to! A bunch of crooks. I brought two of my cars to them to do an oil change and change one of my tires because it had a bubble. I did not ask for a price for an oil change because I did not think it would be anything crazy. They called me the next day and told me that I need to change all of my tires. I told them I only want to change the one with the bubble (I only drove this car for one year - brand new range rover) They told me on the range rover I have to change all 4 tires and there is no way to do it any other way. I knew right away I am in trouble. When I came back I found out they were charging me a $150 for an oil change! I might as well went to Range Rover dealership! read more

Although they didn't make the repairs to the death trap I was deceptively sold, they were honest and forthcoming that the vehicle wouldn't be worth the money that I would need to put into it. They took actual photos and video footage of the undercarriage to show just how bad the condition of the vehicle was in. I use Mark Allan for general maintenance and repairs often. I see the same mechanics often so I feel comfortable that they have a good qualified mechanics. I had suspension work done on my Saturn and a year later I had the same problem and they redid the repair and covered everything parts and labor under warranty. I honestly was only expecting them to cover the parts cause the fact that the part failed want their fault. This is a honest and fair place. Sometimes you might pay a little more but knowing you have experienced mechanics working on your vehicle makes it worth it. read more

Just the other day, a friend of mine stopped in the repair shop to get a price for some work to be done to his SUV. Specifically, all he wanted was to have the wheel lugs on his mags replaced. This did not involve removing the wheels. My friend would supply the replacement lugs and, Mr. Allen or his mechanic, would replace the lugs one at a time. The reason for replacing the lugs was to do away with having to find a special thin-wall socket required to remove the custom lugs that came with the wheels. My friend asked how much it would be and Allen's quoted $89.00. Yes you read this correct, $89.00. No mistake. Of course, my friend said 'no'. Later, at work, after relating to me the story, I decided to call Mr. Allen and asked what it would cost to rotate a set of four tires on an SUV. The price I was given was $20.00. Both my friend and I are passing this around to our fellow company employees who, by the way, were encouraged to patronize his business. We were told that Mr. Allen would be giving our company a discount. Like other companies in the area, our shirts have our company name on it so Mr. Allen knew where my friend was from. Maybe that was the issue. Needless to say, we won't be a customer anytime soon. Perhaps if Mr. Allen reads this, he would be willing to offer an explanation. Thank you for your time. read more
