My husband gets points for sending flowers as a salve on my heart for the foot-in-mouth episode from last night, however, Hilary's Flowers dropped the ball in the execution. I've never seen such a haphazard arrangement of flowers in my life. It's like someone just collected up a list of what was left in the dregs and shoved a few roses, sweet peas, and thistles (why thistles? they told my husband they were putting in lavender, thistles are NOT lavender). This place is awful I get that it was Valentine's Day but that's no excuse for rude service! I stopped in to get flowers for my friend that lives close by and was told that they don't take walk-ins. WHAT?!?! That doesn't even make sense! Then after hearing someone else walk-in and get an order, I asked again and was rudely told that they will make an exception. I was given so much attitude that it really turned me off. I looked around and really didn't like the choices or the quality of the flowers so I left. Thankfully I found another flower shop close by and was treated kindly and got a beautiful bouquet. In fact, upon arrival to pick up the flowers, I felt as if I had been welcomed into their home as a guest for a dinner party. Everyone was iniviting and personable. Knowing that I would be traveling some time without water for the flowers, she surplanted them with water flower vials to keep them until then. My husband sent me a bouquet from Hilary's Flowers. The bouquet was stunning and the flowers were fresh for weeks. When it came time to host my nieces baby shower, I thought of Hilary's Flowers. I called on Monday as I was concerned that the petals could be toxic to my animals. In response to my concern, Kathy personally delivered a replacement arrangement that day.
