When I called, she answered all my questions without irritation or cutting me short and she was very professional yet easygoing. She gave me her cell# so I could show her what I was looking for and she yet again was so awesome and answered every question till my heart was content. I'm not one to do extreme, so this was a new experience for me...but i was tiered of the mom bun look and needed a complete change! Everyone was so welcoming!! Usually it's only the stylist and you conversating, but it was like a big happy family cracking jokes, and having such a good time. Nikki told me what she was going to do every step of the way and did such a perfect job!! The color was prettier than I could have imagined and the cut was so perfect! I was new to the…read morearea and was really nervous about having someone else do my hair after I had been going to one hairstylist my whole life in IL...well I am happy to say that Cindy is now my go to hairstylist. I still come to her even though we moved to Marina del Rey. I had never had anyone highlight/dye my hair before (I used boxed dye a couple of times when I just wanted a solid color), but that has since changed. My 2nd trip to see Cindy was to test out the new Balayage trend (picture uploaded). Cindy started me out with a very simple color that way it wasn't too drastic for me, because I was definitely nervous. Don't know why I was because she did such an amazing job...flash forward a few months... After a couple more appointments with her, I came to her recently in April, finally ready to go a little lighter (blonder), I asked her to give me a bigger change for my upcoming wedding. Cindy fully delivered on the color, without making it look too drastic, she added more color towards the front of my face, and made it lighter underneath so when my hair was lifted up for my updo it would show more (pictures attached). I've yet to get my hair cut since last July at the Ulta salon in Canoga Park: the place I first met her. After almost a year of daily washing and blow-dries for work, the state of my hair was... certainly something to behold. Desperate for a refreshed look for my sister's graduation, I texted her and got an appointment for the next morning. It's been years since I've had either layers or bangs, and after years of wanting a shaggy, full-bodied haircut, I finally had the courage to ask for both. After she shampooed and deep conditioned my hair, I showed Jennifer some reference photos, which she used as a guide, but did not replicate (thank God because none would have worked with my hair texture). She continually checked in with me to ensure I was satisfied with the overall length, as well as the bangs, which, as eager as I was to have, terrified me. She blow-dried and styled my hair, ran some sweet-smelling product through my hair, and ensured that I was content with the results before I left. In addition to product and hair care suggestions, I left her salon with soft, shiny, revived hair! I forgot to ask someone to take pictures of the back of my head, so, unfortunately, I have none to post. Jennifer and a fellow hairdresser at the studio also do color, which I don't have the money to invest in quite yet, but look forward to eventually trying out. Pricing is reasonable considering the labor that goes into the service ($65 for a shampoo, hair mask, cut, blowout, and style). If I am not mistaken, color BEGINS at $90. Do not let these prices deter you: you are receiving expert service from a kind, personable hairdresser--not a 15-minute haircut from SuperCuts. Will most definitely be back when my bangs grow out (:

Everybody that works at the salon are so warm and inviting; when you walk in they greet you with such warmth, they always ask you if you need anything to drink and the is truth is they want to make sure that you are taken care of. I will ONLY get my hair done by Ayanelli…read more She is the only person thats allowed to come near my hair with scissors or hair dye and she is the only person that I will ever take hair advice from. I always got my hair cut at korean salons because they were cheap... and because I got cuts that didn't look so bad... and because those were the only placed my mom took me to go because it was cheap and korean. But heres the thing.... when you go to a Korean salon and you don't speak a lick of Korean (shameful, I know... but whatever) you don't get what you asked for. EVER. And even if they understand you, they won't do it. There have been multiple occasions where I've gone to get another haircut right after my appointment because they won't do what I asked! And thats how I came to Bigoudi. I got my hair cut wanting an a-line bob but my stylist said that i had too much hair and that it couldn't be done. So I said "eff that" and came here and found my hair savior, Ayanelli. She cut my hair to perfection... so much so that I actually wanted to keep my short hair. I usually want my hair to be long within 3 months... its been 9 months and I plan on keeping it this way. I cheated on Bigoudi when I had my hair DISASTER at Underground Hair Artists in Santa Barbara... and omg it wasn't even worth the convenience.... I should've just waited to get my hair done in the valley. I cried for a week every time I looked at myself. Do you know how bad of a haircut that is?!?! Anyway, as it grew out, she trimmed it and shaped it... so now 6 months after looking like a male korean pop star, I look like a girl again. She's dyed sections of my hair hot pink and now she dyed certains parts of my hair platinum blonde. I've gotten tons of compliments on both pink and the blonde from people of all ages and have been asked multiple times who my hair stylist is. If thats not a good sign, then I don't know what is.
