My review of Hilda's beauty salon has only changed for the better. She is still an expert at her craft. Warm and friendly and still the best hairdresser I have ever been to. She is honest and loving and an expert at what she does. Through the years she's only gotten better. Unlike other hairdressers she's always available when you need her and you can depend on her. Besides being a wonderful hairdresser and a loving person she uses top of the line ingredients. Right now she is doing a color and highlight and she is using matrix; which to my understanding as far as Bleach Goes it is One of the best brands you could use. It is so reassuring to know that she uses top-notch material. Rest a sure that you were in good hands. So do you self a favor and take yourself in your hair and any other grooming needs that you need to Hilda you will not be disappointed I promise. read more

I am so disappointed by the service. The lady(Hilda) advised me to not purchase the service from Group on because it will be cheaper if I pay the service through the merchant itself and not Groupon. I accepted with the promise of getting the same service that is mentioned on the groupon with the cheaper price or at least the same price. I ended up paying more than double the price of the service without fulfilling the package which was mentioned on the Groupon as haircut, deep conditioning and highlights. She charged haircut, highlight and deep conditioning separately and for almost triple the price of Groupon, most importantly my hairs is badly damaged and burned by highlights which was done by her. I came home to comb my hair and some part of my hair were completely burned and breakable like powders. So unhappy with the service. read more

Hilda is really impolite and rude!! She is only nice to her own ethnicity! I went for an eyelash perm which cost me $40 and it didn't work! I explained to her that my eyelashes were super straight and asked her if it the perm would work on me and she said " Yes Of course! I've been doing this for 29 years!" I trusted her but then when the treatment was over my eyelashes looked exactly the same! I told her and she insulted me by saying "It did curl! Your eyelashes are just to short!" Which is not true!!!! She even took before and after pictures. In the before picture I had curled eyelashes w/ no mascara and in the after picture my eyelashes had gone down. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL!! She kept saying that she "knew what she was doing and had a lot of experience." YEAH RIGHT!!! read more

This place is absolutely what I needed after months of not having my haircut! Hilda is a great hairstylist! Very patient and very professional. I am absolutely satisfied with my haircut. I was looking for a new place to get my eyebrows done, somewhere closer to home. I looked up Hilda's on yelp and decided to give it a shot. I really liked how Hilda took her time... she did my eyebrows by hand, no waxing, just used tweezers and checked with me along the way to make sure I agreed with what she was doing. Excellent customer service, and price was not bad either ($15, accepts credit/debit). Full service salon too, although I already have someone who does my hair for me. read more

Came on yelp to get a last minute haircut and found Hilda's which was close by. Overall the haircut was ok, I did have to go back with my trimmers and clean up the sides a bit. Seemed a little rushed as she was working on another client that should have been done before my appointment and had her wait while she quickly cut my hair. Was charged $20 for the haircut. read more

Hilda is a gifted hair, skin and makeup expert. She has been my stylist for years and I won't trust my hair to anyone else. From color, highlights, cut, style, blow dry... only Hilda touches my hair. I am very picky and Hilda is so patient and understanding with me. She does exactly what I ask for, in the most expert and professional way possible. For years I have been using the local chain hair salons and I am used to paying lots of money, wait in line, get a crooked hair cut and leave. Not like that at Hilda's at all.
