I went to Polished for a very long time and gave them multiple opportunities because I told myself it was always a one off thing but it's not. Don't bother going here if you make an appointment because they will constantly call you to ask if you can push back because they're running behind. Maybe you need to have better late policies in place for people who don't come to their appointment on time because that always seems to be the excuse. Better yet stop taking walk ins. They prioritize walk ins over their appointments. One time I was the first appointment of the day and was 5 minutes early and somehow still had to wait because someone walked in and wanted a service done and my tech took him. Please explain how that is good business? The salon is clean but their customer service is lacking. I'm sure Evie will respond to this review saying I never spoke up but I did to whichever person was working the front that time. I did voice how frustrating it is to be pushed back because I have an appointment at said time I expect to be seen in a timely manner not 30 min to 1 hour later each time when I have other things to do. read more

Took my niece to Polished Nail Lounge in Chatsworth (off Nordhoff and De Soto) to celebrate one of her academic accomplishments, and it was such a great experience! They were completely packed when we walked in, but still managed to squeeze us in as walk-ins, which I really appreciated. My niece got gel X, and while it was a little pricey, it was absolutely worth it... the nails came out flawless and I'm sure they'll last a long time. I got acrylic toes done about 2 weeks ago after the forth day my toe started itching very bad and felt very uncomfortable and in a lot of pain I did noticed the tools being used weren't sanitized and looked like they were dirty .. the 8th day my toe got very swollen with puss coming out from the side I called my doctor and recommended to remove the Acrylic nail because it got infected and had to rush to urgent care where u had to get my whole nail removed due to the infection , sadly it was an unpleasant experience and unfortunately won't be coming back I got stuck with a painful pedicure. Rude and sloppy I have never paid this much money to be treated so rudely. Despite making an appointment, the manager told us we "will have to wait around until I (the nail tech/manager) am finished with a different client. No apologies, or explanation, for a half hour wait. They did a rush job since it was a half hour before they closed, rather than the hour before which is when we made the appointment for. They wanted to get two regular clients in, and that was very obvious. She did not prep the nails, or do anything to them or the cuticles or skin around the nail, simply glued on the nails as is. She was so incredibly rude, and when I indicated that I was not satisfied with the service, the manager told me to go home and do it myself. When I told her I wld not be returning as a customer she said "yay". This was a special treat for a little girl who worked hard to earn this, and felt that she was inconveniencing the lady doing her nails. Will never give them my business, and will make sure my friends know what to expect from this place as well. Very pretty salon with terrible service. They only care about their regular customers. My endless search for a good pedicure continues...After reading several of my fellow yelpers positive reviews I decided to drive over to get my toes pampered. The inside is spacious and very clean. It was not busy on Monday mid-day so my sis and I were able to sit next to each other while our nail technicians started our pedicures. At first I was happy with Kathy but as the time went on my sister's technician kept talking to her and distracting her. (She also took a phone call while cleaning my sister's toes. Sorry, that's not okay. ) We both got the Deluxe Pedicures for $52 which includes a massage, hot stones and hot towel. Now this girl likes her foot massage...it's the best part...it was so quick I am not sure it even qualified as a massage. Will I go back here? No, I will not. I was so happy with my first visit, I went back again. The person I spoke with on the phone was able to accommodate me last minute which was so appreciated. When I arrived, Tammy did my hands and Kathy did my pedicure. Tammy was great, and did an AMAZING job on my nails. I forgot to take a pic, but they were perfect and lasted three weeks without any issues. My pedicure was just ok... I really wasn't happy with how my polish looked, and when I mentioned it, I felt like she didn't really care. On a side note, Tony was having a fit of anger because he wanted to go home and was irritated that I was there so late. Sorry? It's not my fault I was scheduled. Really awkward, but whatever. After this visit, I scheduled my next appointment for 3 weeks out for 9:30 am with Patty (AMAZING) for my pedicure and Tammy got my bio gel. When I arrived, Tammy & Patty had just started working on another client who had a 9:15 appointment-I think they thought she was me. Needless to say, I was really frustrated. They had me wait there until 10. Then Patty did my pedicure after she finished the other person, while Tammy finished that person's nails. I walked over to Tammy at 10:45 and I said "I really need to go now. I've been here over an hour" and she said "I'm done, I'll get your nails done now". She did and I'm happy with my nails. But this just really made me feel like they did not value my time. I'm a mom with two young kids. Getting time for myself to get my nails done is a luxury and a rarity. I didn't leave this last appointment feeling great, but Tammy apologized and I know she felt bad. read more

My husband understands Vietnamese and the lady called me difficult keep in mind I showed her the inspo and tried to explain. Instead of arguing she could've just tried different light colors but she didn't want to get different colors nor experiment. The owner explained how I wanted it and she would still seem confused till the women doing my toes just tried something and it was close to what I wanted. I would go back but I would request a different nail tech. The women didn't really care trying after and just gave me a sloppy job. The women that did my toes did the hot rock and it was mediocre they didn't do a actually massage. I have to share that the nail tech who did my finger nails was quite rude to me in several ways, I think her name was Tee or Lee. Also I've never had this happen to my finger tips before {see photo} where the skin is peeling around at the sides. I don't like it at all, as it made me want to pick at it & that can really ruin my cuticles even more than what she already did. She also used way too much builder gel. I had to get my nails redone sooner than usual bcz it looked so bad with peeling skin & chunky gel. Connie was very helpful in getting me situated. I went in for a regular pedicure and a callous removal. I was very pleased to see they used a pumice stone for the removal. This is my updated review for Polished. I have been coming to Polished for a few years now! Kathy and Tracy have been doing my nails and they also do a great job. I go to them every single time and I never complain about my nails. They also turn out beautiful! I highly recommend going to Kathy and Tracy. They are both very friendly and super sweet! Unfortunately due to the customer service of rude Evie when I want to book my nails, I will be going somewhere else closer to home in Calabasas to get my nails done. Thank you to Kathy and Tracy for everything! On the flip side, Evie is the one who is very unwelcoming, rude, and gives me poor customer service. I see she has read other people's reviews and she will reply back when she is put on the spot. Evie has been very rude to me, complaining "you call too much." Sometimes the person that books my appointment never sends me text messages to confirm my appointment and it gets confusing. I know I dealt with her last time and Evie was rude to me on the phone. Well..it was my first time coming here and I thought it was cute and super clean nail shop. However, my cousin is a frequent flyer here and she made the appointment a week prior. The appointment was at 1:00 pm and they did not start on my nails until 1:45. I had to wait on my cousin while she got her pedicure, but then she waited a hour while I finished. The nail tech I had I believe was evie was very calm and nonchalant. I showed her the pic I wanted and she said that she did not feel like I needed to have it exactly like the pic with the line design. Fortunately, she did a great job, but I did not like that she was tryna suggest to not do what I wanted. On the bright side I did LOVE my nails.
