She did an awesome job at The Cleaner of Cleaners, and at a terrific price. It's easy to drive right past this shop amid all the nearby government buildings, but it's a jewel. It's on par for pricing with other cleaners, but I was given the wrong impression on pricing when I called them. I don't think this was on purpose, like I said seems like nice people. I paid close to $9.00 to have 1 short dry cleaned with stains around the collar neck. I was a little disappointed that the stains didn't completely come out. I could still see a faint stain around the collar.

Moreso, I was charged the same price I'm normally charged even thought they were so much dirtier. I don't have many dress shirts so I go here once every week and they have been so nice and the shirts have come back perfect every time. When I showed her where the alteration they made caused a fabric pucker near it, she just kept repeating: "We did not touch that! We did not touch that!" and would not accept any responsibility for the new issue, nor did she offer a solution or refund. I will never return. She clearly tries to get as much as she can from customers for jobs that have no pre-defined pricing structure and does not show any interest in solving customer complaints.

DRYY Cleaners in Navy Yard needs to be upfront about how they price their services. They are…read morecharging based on the brand of your clothes, and that was never disclosed when I dropped my items off. They should be investigated. When I picked up my clothes and asked why my bill was so high, the employee immediately said it was because I had "luxury" brands. She specifically pointed out brands like Sandro, Versace, and Dolce & Gabbana and explained that they charge more depending on how expensive the clothing brand is. My receipt even had every brand listed. If you're going to price cleaning based on the brand on the tag, that needs to be clearly disclosed before you take someone's clothes. On top of that, half of my clothes were still crushed and wrinkled when I got them back. Charging premium prices while returning wrinkled clothes is unacceptable. The plus I have damaged clothes.

The fact this completely disappeared from my account, that my bag had my First Initial and Last Name on it and I had to call to get it delivered and was treated like an inconvience makes me profoundly skeptical that this company has it's customers best interests at heart.

A formal dress for a wedding hemmed up and straps tightened for $120 (i think) done in 2 weeks, and a maxi dress hemmed up for $45 done in 4 days. Mr. Kim has cats in his shop and I believe he smokes in his shop as well while working on garments. The second and third time I dropped off my wedding suit and a custom jacket for some alterations. The alterations came out nicely, but again, it smelled like cigarettes and was covered in cat hair. So, be warned. You'll need dry cleaning after dropping your garments off with Mr. Kim. But that's not the worst part. After I had left, and before I had even worn the suit. I noticed that there was a cigarette burn hole in my brand-new custom-made wedding suit. The hole was on the back of the leg and went through the pant in two places. Mr. Kim did not tell me that he had damaged my suit and he tried to cover it up by patching it with leftover scraps from the alteration. Mr. Kim also went ahead and charged me the full amount for my alterations after BURNING A HOLE IN BRAND NEW PANTS! Cannot fathom that he wouldn't think I'd notice the blemish and that it was alright to charge me for alterations to a very expensive suit that he ruined. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!
