When I checked on it in February, I was told it was taking longer because the suede cleaner had been on leave. When I followed up again last month, I was shocked to be told they had never received my jacket. After checking their system, they insisted I had never dropped it off. What disappointed me most was not even the lost jacket. It was the lack of accountability and the complete absence of an apology. I was not asking for compensation. I simply wanted someone to acknowledge what happened and say they were sorry. Instead, when I pulled the owner aside to express my disappointment, she looked at me with confusion, as though I was making the whole thing up.

Yet to have a bad experiences. Highly recommend! I think contrary to restaurants, people don't have the incentive to post good reviews for dry-cleaners. In restaurants, you have a delicious and memorable meal, so you want to post something nice to capture the moment and share the joy. With dry cleaners, you expect that your clothes will come out nice and clean. If that happens - voila - you're done. You're content. So, most people will only review a dry cleaner when something goes wrong. I'm the usual, Jo Shmo, fellow bureaucrat spreading love for a small business doing a great job. WORST TAILORING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE DO NOT GO HERE!!!…read more I brought multiple clothing items in for alterations on May 12, including an expensive dress. I returned on May 19 to pick them up as instructed and was told the alterations were not finished. I was then told to come back again later that week, only for the work to still not be completed. On May 27, I was finally able to pick up only half of my clothing and was still required to pay for all alterations -- including work that had not even been completed yet. The worst part was the damage done to my dress. The alterations were done so poorly that the dress is no longer wearable. I took it to another alterations professional who told me the damage is likely not fixable. When I returned to show the issues and ask for a refund, I was told it was "not their fault" and refused any resolution even after trying the dress on in front of them and showing how much it impacted the fit of the dress (one side has a huge gap exposing the bra...!!!) They also held on to the other 2 articles of clothing and insisted they still tailor them. Refusing to give me a refund or my property back. When I finally returned to get them, they work they had done was sloppy and the shoulders still did not fit. One piece they did not even do the work that was paid for (adding on additional buttons), but they did hem the shoulders too tight for me to wear. All and all I am out the $115 i spent on alterations, and now have not 1 not 2 but 3 pieces of unwearable clothing. I will be taking them to another alterations place but have already been warned that the damage might be too much to fix. I would strongly caution others before trusting this business with valuable clothing. My dress is destroyed and I am out hundreds of dollars on damaged clothes and services not rendered as agreed. I have never written a bad review in my life, if i could give this place 0 stars I would.

Each time, when I balked at the initial estimate, she said, "Well, what do you want to pay?" When I said less, she dramatically lowered the figure. I still think I paid too much based on my better experiences elsewhere in Capitol Hill, but one time, the $40 alteration (which was simply taking in a two-inch section of fabric by just a little) made the fit of a pair of pants worse. When I showed her where the alteration they made caused a fabric pucker near it, she just kept repeating: "We did not touch that! We did not touch that!" and would not accept any responsibility for the new issue, nor did she offer a solution or refund. I will never return. She clearly tries to get as much as she can from customers for jobs that have no pre-defined pricing structure and does not show any interest in solving customer complaints.

Everyone else was already a 4 but I'm a size 8, 6 on good days and if I didn't eat dinner the night before lol. Anyways it's always easier to get a dress taken in than let out cause you can't make extra cloth magically appear....but they did. They some how were able to find extra cloth from within the dress and made it into a size 6 dress! All with no visible signs or even seams! They literally made 4 inches of material appear and I was able to zip up my dress! All for under 70 dollars and they were able to turn it around in a week. Amazing.

Completely unacceptable--tailoring should be precise, and this was anything but. What truly pushed this from frustrating to outrageous was the response when I tried to address it. The manager told me, verbatim, that she "did not care" that this was for my engagement party. No accountability--just blatant indifference. It's one thing to make a mistake. It's another to show zero regard for your customer, especially when you've impacted an important, time-sensitive event. I trusted them with something meaningful and was left scrambling at the last minute with a dress that didn't fit and a business that couldn't care less. Take your money somewhere that values both quality and basic human decency.

I've brought it up and they said to use the more expensive option. (The cheaper option still shouldn't be ruining shirts?...) Even when paying for the more expensive option, the issue persists. It's a bummer because they are close and I like them, but they're ruining my shirts. In my whole life I have never had this issue with a dry cleaner. It's weird. A functioning press that doesn't leave deep, structural creases in dress shirts should be table stakes for a dry cleaner.

I had to get the dress taken out and made bigger and I was a little worried they wouldn't have the same fabric and color but it worked out! I got the dress a week and a half later and it fit perfectly. It was about $50 which I thought was reasonable. Please note the tailor is only available in the mornings, before 1pm I believe. I also appreciate that they are open earlier than most cleaners (8am)! Quick tip about the entrance: Go to the entrance next to Starbucks and Bandit Taco, not on 16th St.
