The owner (Anna) attempted to remake twice, but made it worse. Draining the sauce and reheating it on the pan will not help reduce the saltiness! Eating at Hill Monkeys Thai restaurant is the best thing I did last week!!! my wife and I heard about Hill monkeys and boy did they deliver. Everybody always has their choice of Their favorite restaurant. and in Crestview, I think I found mine.To start with it's a small little place off Main Street easy to get to lots of parking. We went in and we're promptly greeted by the owner. We ordered some ice tea. I had already heard about the sampler platter so we ordered one of those. Wow what a good appetizer usually samplers aren't very good but this was really good. it consisted of, spring rolls, cold spring rolls, steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, and a very, very good chicken satay all with the proper sauce and all the sauces were excellent and homemade. what was really nice as they were all good. They had a regular Thai menu with all the favorites, including Pad Thai always one of my favorites. my wife and I had heard so many nice things about the menu, I tried something different. My wife and I split pork with cabbage, garlic, and lime. It was so good and we were still full splitting it, but I shouldn't say that everyone should get their own plate, you're gonna want more. if you're looking for a romantic evening, this is probably not your place. there are kids in the restaurant. In town for a few days and googled Thai places near me. This place popped up and I called in to place my order for pickup. You can place the order online but I wanted to pay cash. The restaurant is cozy and clean. The server was pleasant to deal with and she explained why the shrimp rolls lid stays open til the customer gets there. (Keeps them from getting soggy too quick) I decided to go with the shrimp fried rolls and chicken fried rice. The rolls tasted fresh and crisp. Highly recommend. I love they use the spring roll paper instead of the egg roll wrap and the shrimp is a good size and whole, but they do leave the tail on which I alittle odd. My fried rice was absolutely delicious. A nice portion of chicken and the medium spice was perfect. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town for some good Thai food. :) read more

Doc and Anna serve the very best Thai I've ever had. we chose the Drunken Noodles with beef and was blown away by the flavor and tasty wide noodles and the Pad Thai thin noodles. I chose the medium spicy version and was pleased with just the right amount of heat (for me). Those that like their Thai noodles with more heat will not be disappointed. The dumplings were very good as was the salad with ginger dressing. The Thai Boba Tea was a huge and pleasant surprise and very tasty. I'm a local to the area and eat here regularly. 1. Service is always reliable, not many mistakes on the orders and everyone gets their plate around the same time. 2. It was food truck night in Crestview and we decided to go see what it was all it was about . My wife and I were getting ready to order some food from the Shrimp Box truck parked by Hills Monkey Thai Restaurant. My wife mentioned the restaurant and I remembered a co-worker praising this place for their good food . So we decided to go eat there . We ordered 3 different appetizers and they were actually pretty decent and was looking forward to the shrimp glass noodle I ordered . My wife ordered the drunken noodles. When we got our food , we started to eat and my wife looked at me and ask me if my food smelled funny . It did smell like a wet dog . I thought it was just mine but hers smell like that as well . So I took a couple bites to see how it tasted and it was bland plus that smell kind of took away my appetite . The shrimp was bland , like it' was just boiled and thrown in with the glass noodles . Plus I noticed there were little pieces of chicken in the mix. We decided to take it home since we paid for this meal . My son in-law opened the to go box and he threw it in the garbage . He said it smelled like meat going bad . Glad we didn't get sick from this meal . Other than that the waitress was courteous and the appetizers were good . Unreal! I mean, we did try the other Thai place a few days ago and it was a miserable failure...but this place was unfathomably satisfying! I wish I was smart enough to take more pictures! This is the Pad Thai with chicken, but we also had the sampler and it was excellent. We asked our server what we need to have here because we can't get it anywhere else, she said the Kao Soy with chicken. It was almost like a ramen with thick noodles. Loved this place when we were on road trip to Lakeland from Colorado. Stayed overnight and found Hill Monkeys . Staff were very efficient...and funny as all get out. Food was delicious. All three of us got different meals and felt it was best Thai we'd had in very long time. It was clearly a local favorite and it felt like a place I'd repeatedly visit if I lived in Crestview.
