We loved the spring rolls. 8/10 I like more meat but that's fine. The wrap is so crisp and they really almost melt in your mouth. The yellowtail is a must try!!! I can't find it so fatty and melt in your mouth good easily. I haven't had it so good in 14 years!! The hibachi was an 8/10. First time I went I placed a to go order at the counter and waited for my food, took about 20 mins on a weekday evening. Sat outside at one of the tables to pass time which was nice. The inside was kind of smelly which should have been my first clue to as how the food would be. I ordered a spider roll which was good although poorly wrapped. Then I ordered a TNT roll with raw tuna inside and out. The tuna laid on top of the roll was extremely sour. One bite and I immediately knew I messed up when I had swallowed. I was disgusted and immediately called Bamboo to tell them. They apologized and offered to remake another day as they were about to close. Fast forward to another day I got the roll remade and checked before leaving the premise of it was fresh. Smelled fresh enough, went home and just wasn't all that impressed. Didn't expect high quality tuna that's just buttery but I don't want tuna that smells or tastes fishy. Not worth the stomach ache! read more

I came here for lunch today. It was a rainy day, and what would be a perfect lunch for this gloomy day? Well, it is ramen! I ordered their spicy ramen with hot green tea. The ramen was delicious, and the green tea matched it. The ramen had three pieces of sliced pork, bamboo shoots, bokchoy, corn, and one soft boiled egg. The spiciness was just right. It didn't overpower the flavor of the broth. I'd come and eat here again. I was surprised that there weren't many people when I got there. Maybe it was still early, and the weather may have something to do with as well. Overall, the food was good. Of course, it is hard to compare that to one's I've had in Japan. I highly recommend this place. Next time, I'll try their sushi. read more

I tried the sashimi 9oz dinner for $30.00 It comes with a miso soup, which tasted standard to most side miso soups and a bowl of steamed rice which was steamed well. I feel the amount of sashimi is true to its title. Bamboo's quality of fish is very good. Everything tasted clean and refreshing while still retaining that buttery textured quality. The only qualm I have would be the octopus (as it's my favorite) because it's texture was rough and slightly dry as opposed to that plump and juicy texture I'm used to. That aside I'm still giving five stars. The fish was expertly cut and presented beautifully. The ambiance is laid back but still fancy enough treat yourself or a date to something special. The music isn't too loud so it allows for conversation. The gentleman who took my order is also one of the gentlemen behind the sushi station making sushi. He did all this while keeping an eye on his customers to make sure they had what they needed. My drink had maybe one sip left and he was already at the table with another lemonade. Really fantastic service. I would have ordered the sushi of the day, but honestly the sashimi dinner was enough to make me full. I'll be back to post an update when I try their sushi. read more

Yesterday I found a sushi here that not many know about unless you either know about, you grew up with, or enjoyed at another estabalishment...and that's the "INARI SUSHI". Me and my friend had walked in to grab dinner. upon arrival we were seated at a table and had walked up to the counter to place our order. to start off the experience someone had walked in and sat themselves in the seat we were placed at while in line to order. the male at the register was extremely friendly if you know what i mean and made me very uncomfortable. also got my order wrong, said it was corrected and came out wrong. had to send back for correct order. i had received my remake before my friend had even gotten her food. we waited 30 minutes and i then asked for the food to be checked on. they said it was lost and had to start from scratch. it took an hour to receive a regular plate of teriyaki chicken. very disappointed and frustrating. read more

Waited about 30 minutes for a sushi roll. When I went to inquire where it was, it came out in 2 minutes. The server told me to "stop complaining" and that's the standard wait. I've eaten sushi all my life. In no world does it take 30 minutes to roll a sushi if they've done any amount of prep time. I don't mind the wait, but don't tell me to stop complaining when I ask where my food is. In fact the people waiting in line after me all received their food before me. It's obvious they forgot to make my order. At that point, the standard restaurant policy is to apologize and get the customer their food. Here... well..Beyond that, it's overpriced with a weird cashier system. You essentially have to order yourself and tip them before you get the food. I guess my 10% tip wasn't big enough to get my food on time. Make the drive to fort Walton. There's better, cheaper and less rude waitstaff. read more

Why are we tipping again? Not only do we have to order our food ourselves like we're at a burrito shop, (sushi is supposed to be a fine dining experience) but then we pre-tip based on NO IDEA what the food is like that we're going to receive OR the service once they decide to stop grab-assing in the sushi bar area and serve the food that's up for delivery! 5 rolls ordered last night, NOT ONE had wasabi on it. Ticket included 2 appetizers, 5 rolls and 1 kitchen meal. Appetizers came out within 5-6min, sushi rolls 2min after that hmmmm - (missing wasabi issue dealt with in a zero care fashion, waitress slaps giant scoop into a bowl and tells US to pass it around - COOL) then 5... 10.... 15... minutes later still no meal for my SMALL CHILD from the kitchen. Keep stopping person working the take-out counter because you can't get any other workers attention because they're too busy playing grabass with eachother yuckin it up the entire time not paying attention to any of the customers... finally we get what we learn is the manager and while polite, she was charismatically unconcerned with our multiple issues. Never once did she apologize or explain or empathize that this wasn't acceptable, or their standard practice.... She went back and checked with the kitchen for our meal for our kid and brought it to us another 2min later. There we were sitting and watching my kid eat because the rest of us already had our meals. This is why self service in sushi / hibachi isn't a good idea. The tickets don't get put through properly because no one communicates and clearly there is no line Chef checking the plating of rolls either or they would've noticed 5 rolls without wasabi! So ridiculous. It would've been fine after the wasabi incident but my son getting chicken teriyaki 20 min after our rolls came out was the straw that broke the camels back. Again I ask, why are we tipping? Wish we could contest the tip as not ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES earned the tip we gave last night. PS this is not the first horrible experience we've had here either. This is now the 3rd. Hence the review. We're over it. Bamboo lost our business for good this time. read more

Wish I knew about this place sooner! Inside they have a bar and multiple TV's. The drinks are great and the sushi is delicious! It is à la carte vs. all you can eat but the prices are super affordable. The staff is awesome. They even have drink specials every night of the week! Absolutely fantastic. After a hard day at work, me and my employees went here to eat. We had the BEST time ever. The owner, manager and sushi chef were a hoot. So glad I came here. We laughed- we ate and laughed again. Wish we had you in Navarre!! The food was DELICIOUS. We had, gyoza, sushi roll TNT, escalor, belli portion yellowtail, custom rolls- which Mario made. I went there Saturday night because it was one of the only places open. I first tried to eat at the Wild Olive, and both the hours posted on the door and google said they were open until 9. However, they flipped the closed sign while we were in the parking lot, around 8:20, so that was frustrating. Anyway. Bamboo was good food! We ordered at the counter and then they bring it out to you. The fried gyoza appetizer was fine, but I really liked my hibachi steak and chicken meal. The fried rice had cabbage, zucchini, and broccoli, and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the yakisoba noodles with some protein, and he really liked it. Finally, my cousin ordered a sushi roll that he didn't care for, plus a hibachi meal that he did like. I would definitely eat here again when I'm in this area. read more

It was our second time there We love sushi and hibachi. The only sad part is that I love Ramen, but I cannot eat pork; however, their Ramen broth has some pork in it. So I was suggested to try the udon. It was good but can't replace Ramen. It came with Shrimp, sweet potato, and cucumber, two pierces each, fried in a batter. I think the Udon was a bit pricey. I also tried sake, and it was delicious, but the tiny bottle itself was about 18$. I think they are a bit too pricey, but it's OK. Nothing to complain about when it comes to food taste. HOW IT WORKS: When you come in you talk to the host to be seated. You order your food at the counter and fill your own drinks at the drink machines.The cashier will provide a stand to sit on your table with your name on it. The employees bring your food to the table. If you need anything you go to the register and ask for what ever you need. When you are done eating you leave your plates and trash and the employees clean it up. It's set up like a semi self serve establishment...it's completely different from anything I have ever experienced. Overall it was great food. My husband ordered the King Kong roll. FYI: ITS A LOT OF FOOD! it can feed probably 3 people. It was great. I ordered the Mt. Fuji roll. Also it was great. The employees were nice and the establishment was very busy.i was a little confused on how everything worked.i had to ask the hostess on how to get a table and how ordering your food went. The host was extremely nice and showed me where to order and where my table would be. Only recommendation I have is: Maybe put a sign on the hostess stand on how the facility operates with ordering, drink refills, and clean up after eating. The staff was pretty nice. Bathroom was clean. The menus were dirty and sticky. Gross. The sweet tea wasn't sweet. The drink machine ran out of coke so they said they would have to bring some out with the food. I ordered the hibachi filet mignon with shrimp and my wife had the filet mignon. The fried rice was a 1 out of 5. Didn't like all the stuff they put on top. The shrimp was a 1 out of 5. No flavor at all.
