Tangerine vodka slushie! It wAs 90°+ in May!

Finally visited hill top distillery last week. Glad we did! Four adults shared three flights, which meant we could all try a wee taste of all their liquors except one. The owner poured for us and chatted while we stood at the bar to taste; he was very friendly and answered our questions about the spirits and told us about more of the origin of the distillery. I found all of the spirits to be incredibly smooth and drinkable. I loved the apple pie moonshine, the strawberry moonshine, the bourbon, and the maple whiskey. All of the non flavored spirits were good too, and would be worth stocking the bar with: gin, vodka, whiskey, single malt! After we tasted everything we all got a cocktail to enjoy outside in the nice lawn area under an umbrella. We also took home some strawberry moonshine! Yum! It was a lovely visit, and a fun place to bring family we had visiting from Scotland. We'll visit again!

Their cocktails are great, their whiskey and bourbon whiskey are my favorite, but their moonshine seems to have quite the following also.

We each got a couple of drinks and we split two appetizers, and everything was very good. I opted for the Bonfire Buzz, which was one of the tastiest rum drinks I've had. It's made with spiced rum, apple cider and ginger beer, and definitely had a kick. We split the Red Eyed Goat and Finklestien's Nachos and both were really good. My other friend got the Beef on Weck sandwich with a side of mac and cheese and really enjoyed his meal. In addition to spirits and mixed drinks, they also offer beer and wine. This a cute place that gives back to the community, and is well worth a visit.

Just note that there is extra parking behind the building. There aren't many great food / dining options within the local area but this place really is a great place in any area. The customer service is great, food is delicious, and the atmosphere is comfy. It was so nice for us that we actually came back twice during a 4 day vacation! :) Recommendation: You have to try the tomato pie dip. It's so delicious. If you're in the area, it's absolutely worth the visit. Food Taste: 5 Overall Service: 5 Value of service to cost: 5 Facility: 5 Ambiance: Small bar that's quaint and open. I enjoyed the decor within. Repeat customer: yes! Dog Friendly: I didn't ask - but maybe the patio?

While the bourbon selection is limited to just two, the cocktail menu more than makes up for it with creative and well-crafted options. I especially loved the MacGregor Old Fashioned--perfectly balanced - in the top 5 of old fashioneds I've had! Huge bar area, couches and a stunning fireplace, and tables. Outdoor seating as well. Selection of logo merch for sale. Adjacent to the Exchange Cafe, and you can bring you food from there over. Shout out to Shelia who helped us behind the bar. She was super friendly and took the time to share her knowledge of the bourbons and cocktails with us. We will definately be back and I cant wait to see how they grow!
