My friends and I decided to visit this distillery and we were all so happy we did. It was very welcoming and had that homey feeling where everyone knew each other. We each got a couple of drinks and we split two appetizers, and everything was very good. I opted for the Bonfire Buzz, which was one of the tastiest rum drinks I've had. It's made with spiced rum, apple cider and ginger beer, and definitely had a kick. We split the Red Eyed Goat and Finklestien's Nachos and both were really good. My other friend got the Beef on Weck sandwich with a side of mac and cheese and really enjoyed his meal. In addition to spirits and mixed drinks, they also offer beer and wine. This a cute place that gives back to the community, and is well worth a visit. read more

Went out here to go camping nearby and this place is a pretty solid gem within this local area. When they get busy parking can get a bit busy. Just note that there is extra parking behind the building. There aren't many great food / dining options within the local area but this place really is a great place in any area. The customer service is great, food is delicious, and the atmosphere is comfy. It was so nice for us that we actually came back twice during a 4 day vacation! :) Recommendation: You have to try the tomato pie dip. It's so delicious. We were exploring the town this past Sunday. Came upon this place. Got a good vibe when we walked it. The staff are simply awesome. Very helpful and friendly. "Dawn" our host was super! Can't wait to chat with her again. She helped us decide on what to order and then later chatted with us at the end. The drinks and food were all very good. We left no survivors. This is a small local whiskey distillery that has a small menu and was a fun place. We arrived around 5pm on a Nice weather Saturday and a small bus was leaving (thank goodness, lol). There is a patio you can sit on to drink and eat; however, we went inside and sat at a booth in the back. I did not drink whiskey, instead we ordered cocktails off the fun spring cocktail menu. I really enjoyed the "I wet my plants." The table beside us got several whiskey flights though! My friends enjoyed the goat cheese dip with orange marmalade. I ended up with the tomato grilled cheese and a salad. The balsamic dressing was very good. Hubby got the nachos, which were HUGE! Amazingly nice place. The food was great. The service was excellent. We also had our motorhome with us and they let us park in the back because we're part of a group called harvest host. We had Baked crack dip to start off. Oh so good. House made mix of bacon, ranch and something called "crack dip." Which could explain why I didn't stop eating it. The Mrs ordered the "hamburger helper". And went with the "chicken bites". The chicken was as expected with nice flavor. The hamburger helper was tasty. I like the set up and the "Drinks are on the front side, and food on the backside". Outside seating area (where we sat) is nice with a mixture of tables, a fire pit, an chairs. I could have spent a few more hours here. The drinks were very tasty. The "limerick" was seemingly on everyone's table. We enjoyed it a lot. read more

Ok, this place is great, been back twice for apps and cocktails before heading to 1933 bistro across the way. Fantastic local spirits and getting to try them in an expertly prepared way is VERY rare. Add to that both outdoor and indoor seating spaces that were great for two as well as a group, servers that knew the product as well as the menu and you get an idea of what they offer. Hit or miss? I was so excited to bring my boyfriend here to try some whiskey and eat a few snacks. I had previously stopped by after work one day and had a great experience! Granted it wasn't that busy when I went alone but when I took him on Saturday afternoon it was much busier. Service wasn't fantastic.. mixed drinks were also.. mixed.. bloody m-- meh. I went w a reliable beer for my second drink. No issues there. One of his drinks meh and one excellent! So really I'm totally on the fence about this place. I think they might treat you a little better if you're a "regular"? I'm not sure. Anyway atmosphere is cute. Food is fine, warm and pretty tasty just kind of average bar food w a twist. I didn't mind it either time. If I'm ever out that way I might consider trying again. read more

We came here to check out the local distillery on a super cold day. Walking in, the tasting room is cute and cozy, and we found a table immediately. I got their smoked old fashioned with the black walnut bitters that has been raved about on their social media...it was okay. I also tried their vodka (very smooth), spiced rum, and the whiskey straight. I drink quite a bit of whiskey and bourbon - but theirs didn't really do anything for me. None of my friends were over the top about their cocktails, but none of them were bad. Their food offerings are pretty substantial for the fact that they don't have a kitchen and are a distillery, not a restaurant. We split the pretzel (very good), the meat and cheese plate, and the baked brie. The paper wasn't removed from the brie, so unfortunately we had to dump the toppings off to unwrap it before we could enjoy. I really like the concept and what Three Crosses is doing, but I wanted to like their drinks more. I don't know that I'll be making this my go-to distillery but it is nice to have another option outside of the city. read more

We stopped in here along our weekend VA road trip. It was an awesome find in a small town with great people and products. They even gave us a tour of the stills! Due to the restrictions on serving here, we had to be judicious in our choices. We ordered a full flight and two cocktails. They did not disappoint! There was live music, a food truck and a boozy cake stand (vanilla & bourbon). I purchased two cakes and the woman at the stand was so friendly and caught me up on the local events! My favorite local restaurant. Unfortunately the service was not so great at my last visit. I'll chalk it up to being understaffed. Though I don't know if they were understaffed. Took a bit of time for the server to arrive and take our drink order. The drinks are always very good. We ordered an appetizer - highly recommend the onion rings. Cooked just right. But the server provided no plates. I'm not sure they were necessary, but usually provided. We were not offered water, had to ask. Little nit, but wanted to note. What bothered me more, the servers cell phone kept ringing, and she answered, taking her away from guests. This is why I'm suspicious they were understaffed. No water refills were offered. Food arrived. Excellent as always. Overall, it is still my favorite local place, and I like to support local. Definitely will return. Hopefully, service will have improved. read more

Came here for the first time tho I've been to the bar a few times before the restaurant side opened. Bartender is always extremely friendly and hopeful. Enjoy interacting with him. The beef on weck is delicious as is the Mac and cheese. The hot honey chicken sandwich has a little bite but isn't omg spicy which is perfect for me. My only complain and only reason for 4 stars os the chicken is processed and not a chicken breast. It should def be chicken breast meat in a restaurant. I hope they change this but otherwise definitely recommend them. read more

Awesome distillery addition to the greater Richmond area! Spirits are distilled on site right behind the bar. You can watch production as you sip on a tasting or craft cocktail. Both the staff and owners are welcoming and happy to share their knowledge about crafting such good liquor. There are snack options if you need a little something in your stomach while you sip. They have a little something for everyone (whiskey, vodka, moonshine, etc.). It's great to find a new distillery in town that makes spirits like they've been doing it forever! read more

What a great find we live in Midlothian and I sometimes don't feel like driving to Scott's addition or downtown Richmond and trying to find parking. It's so nice that Powhatan is giving us Midlothian people the option to drive out to the country easy parking and enjoy a nice couple of drinks. The owner Michele and the bartender were amazing great service super friendly and just enjoyed having people come to their distillery. They do tours too. You can only have two drinks because it is a distillery not a bar but it's a great place to stop and have a drink or tastings with a friend. Soon they will have a food truck outside too. Went to listen to live music and it was very nice. First visit there and we tasted several drinks. The Peppered Vodka bloody mary was awesome. Think the drinks are a bit pricey at around $10. Pretty sure will return. read more

Amazing place! I had some free time and left Fort Lee to check out local distilleries in Virginia. Tried to Go to Bondurant Brothers Distillery for a tour but, alas, nobody was home during their business hours...so I went to 3 Crosses instead, good decision! The setting is great, the people are welcoming, the alcohol is sold for a fair price, and they even were willing to give me a tour of their stills in back and their barrel room. Wonderful place! definitely coming back for some more before I head back home to Colorado. read more
