My friends and I decided to come here for happy hour/early dinner :) I heard the food and beer was amazing so ofcourse I'm all in. For beers I tried two 4oz ones. The coffee based one is the one I really loved (I ended up getting a crowler to take home!). For food we got a variety of items. My sister in laws got the kids grilled cheese for her kid and they both said it was really good. I got the garlic parmesan wings and the zuppa toscana. The wings are the best wings I've had in a very long time the soup was good too but I wish there was a tad more seasoning. My friend got us a cheese board too that had a variety of meats/cheese, nuts etc. Overall we loved the ambiance of the place, the food and the beer! We attended the "Wild and Weird" event today and WHY did it take us four years since arriving to Midlothian to visit this beautiful place? From the moment of arriving to the property and feeling you have just checked out. The beer was mesmerizing from Fine Creek selections, to tasting of local and other breweries that stirred flavors I've never encountered before. The food was perfection. The standouts to me were the crew, from one of the owners, Mark, to the brewmasters to the service crew. The genuine interest they take and care for of the people visiting will not be forgotten. We had the BEST time at Fine Creek! We've loved the brewery for a while now and decided to rent the outside area for a coed baby shower with our Richmond friends. Daniel was who we worked with and he made everything about the booking and day of the event so stress free and perfect! Most of our friends had not been to the brewery before our party and they all just loved it. Everyone said they'd be back and a few are thinking about renting it out as well! Also, we ordered a cake from the bakery on site and it went above and beyond expectations and was delicious! Pierre did an amazing job! Was DoorDashing out West of town the other day and decided to take a long break in the Sunshine. I'd been to Fine Creek before and thoroughly enjoyed my experiences there. This time was no exception: Daniel and Dixon, in particular, were very accommodating and friendly, and the House Saison and one of the I.P.A.'s were delicious, as usual. Enjoyed our anniversary at Fine Creek Brewery and stayed at one of the cottages located on site. The cottages were super cute and cozy. The brewery was very wide open with an assortment of food and drink options. Beer was okay but you stay for the views and experience. 10/10 would recommend the stay at the cottage. read more

It's obvious why Fine Creek has so many stellar reviews. They are one of the premier​ craft beer establishments in the Richmond region. The brewery isn't really that far from the city but it feels like it's a world away in the woods of Powhatan. For me, I'd probably be more inclined to return if someone else was driving. I get really anxious in cars, and some of the roads to reach Fine Creek were a little too narrow for me. I was clinging to the steering wheel the entire time. And since I was driving, I only tried little sips of each beer from my friends' pours. But what I did try was high quality, in particular,​ the Tart Grisette. That was the sourest​ beer they had on the day I visited, and I wish I had purchased some to go. It was so well made...and it was nice to see a brewery in this area branch out beyond fruiting up a gose. The brewery grounds are also gorgeous and pristine. They have lots of yard games out front, and they grow their own herbs for their food offerings. We didn't eat while there, but their menu did look incredible. I do hope I can catch a ride with someone else in the future, as it'd be great to really take in the atmosphere once the weather warms up and spend a full afternoon sampling the menu. Another perk is that it's not far at all from the new Hardywood West Creek location and Kindred Spirit. Perfect for a countryside brewery crawl! read more

A lovely drive to Powhatan takes you to this rustic, serene, countryside property where you can spend the day, or the weekend!! Lovely cottages are available for a getaway or just enjoy a pleasant experience for an afternoon which may creep into the evening!! We sat outside on one of the many picnic tables with our brews! What a relaxing day! We ordered the quiche, the mac n' cheese, strawberry French Toast. The food was outstanding! Their menu changes depending upon what's in season so you can always expect a new flavor for your tastebuds! (I wasn't crazy about carrying that heavy wrought iron table marker to our table, but perhaps they will come up with an easier design.) Inside the taproom, there are cozy leather chairs and some other seating areas. There are games available to play while you drink their refreshing beers!! The grounds are beautifully kept. We walked all through the herb gardens and by the creek. We were delighted to find the quaint gift shop where we purchased some cool finds. There is also an adjacent venue (The Mill) for weddings. First time visiting Fine Creek and it was a terrific experience. The beers are delicious and the food is thoughtfully crafted. We shared the (deconstructed) bruschetta, the turkey sandwich and were very pleased. The biere de vin, the house saison, the grisette rose and their plethora of ipa's have been so much fun to enjoy. The space is absolutely gorgeous and the staff were incredibly friendly. If you haven't been to Fine Creek, I can't recommend it enough. We hosted the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding in mid-October at the Brewery. We had about 100 people in attendance; outside under the pavilion. Even with rain 30 minutes before the event, the setting was amazing. The food and beverages were delicious. The Fine Creek Brewing Company had a seasonal Oktoberfest beer that the happy couple named for the occasion. They also served other enjoyable brewed beer and local Virginia wines. Very rude bartender. Wouldn't allow any tastings. First brewery I have ever experienced this. When asked why that it is. The answer give was, "our bartenders are perfect at describing the beer aromas." Told her that she doesn't know my taste palette. We recently hosted a 200 person retirement celebration at Fine Creek Brewing Company and it was FABULOUS. Daniel Chiles, the tap room manager is extremely responsive, organized and professional. He made planning and executing a large group event incredibly easy for me. The day of staff at Fine Creek provided exceptional service. They were keeping up with the bartending, clearing tables, meeting guest requests and replenishing food throughout the entire three hour event. I was impressed with quality of the food for a 200+ person buffet. Dietary needs for allergies and intolerances were discussed in advance and accommodated for perfectly. The indoor, outdoor, covered porch and beer garden pergola provided guests with options to meet their comfort needs and all spaces were well cared for, comfortable and lovely. We love Fine Creek! Nestled away next to The Mill at Fine Creek, this little brewery is picture perfect. The inside is Joanna Gaines adorable and the beer selections are impressive. There is usually live music inside or outside. The deck patio is my favorite but if it's full there are about 20 or so nicely spaced large picnic tables just below. I'm NOT huge beer drinker but I can always find atleast two or three here that I like. The flights (3 beer) are a great option if it's your first time. They also have a "Steal the Stein" deal for $14 for the first stein and then I believe a 10 (or 16oz?) cost to fill up after that. They have a few cold brew options made wih Blanchard's coffee though I tend to gravitate towards a Hefeweizen. Lots of room for kids to roam out in the yard where the garden is. Fyi- they cook from this garden.. pretty cool! Oh, the food? Delicious! Due to their early closing time it makes perfect sense that this brewery has a heavier than typical food menu. We had pork sliders, brats, smoked trout on baguette and the cheeseboard. Everything was amazing and the presentation can't be beat. The only negatives? They close relatively early and no dogs allowed (unless a service animal) Definitely worth checking out! read more

I understand covid times and the "new" way of life, but they are insane about masks and group sizes, their approach was less than tactful. Was ordering a beer and another lady ahead of me had received her beverage (while waiting for another bottle of wine) she took a sip of her glass of wine, the lady behind the counter snapped at her put your mask back on, after the lady explained she was taking a sip of her drink the lady behind the counter said if you want to drink go outside you can not drink in here....if you rent a cottage (which are amazing) don't think about taking a beverage to the brewery from your cottage when hanging out with friends. Our group had 11 people and they broke us up saying our party was to big. One person in our group had brought their own beer the rest was going to be buying from the brewery but after the treatment we had we decided to go back to the cottage and enjoy our time together, so they lost a lot of money. Two other table around us said they will not be coming back or recommending this place either. Bottom line, if you are there as a couple it could be good. But I would not go if you're with a group looking to have fun. read more

Awesome brewery off the beaten path! The taproom is a great design with a beer counter featuring many beer options. Something for everyone, they have beers ranging from lighter lagers, to a variety of IPAs, to sours. There are brews to go in bottles and cans. There is live music on the weekends and the location is awesome to hang out. My husband and I loved the views of the quaint cottages and even looked into planning a mini night getaway as we sipped and sat in the Adirondack chairs. The food looks fantastic! They have a more upscale brewery option of foods that feature menu items that you might see at a winery (charcuterie plates, pimento and crostini, etc) We could spend all day here! read more

This used to be a great place to come and hang out. The customer service has been really bad the last couple of times we have been here. When I mentioned that I might stop coming because of it the employee said "That's your choice" Obviously they don't care if you come or to treat people right. Beautiful location and facilities. Food is yummy and flavorful. We've been several times and have enjoyed introducing new people to the Fine Creek experience. A couple of things keep us from rating it higher. #1 they only allow service dogs. While we do not have dogs, upon 2 occasions...new friends that we wished to introduce to Fine Creek were disappointed that their furry family member was not welcome. #2 they don't provide samples. I'm sorry, the only place I've ever been that charges you to taste their beverages. I understand not providing samples of other wineries/breweries, but they charged our friends for a single taste. It was their first time visiting and I hate to say, they may not return. (Our entire group has traveled to wineries in California and in France.... and THEY don't charge for tasting.) Needless to say, conversations during this visit was focus on dogs and charging for a single sample... instead of the lovely surroundings and a fun escape from the city. read more
