Been seeing Dr Pfiefer for years but I will never be returning to this office!!! This is my 2nd encounter in the past couple months with her new medical assistant or nurse who is super rude! I am a nurse and I was not allowed to accompany my husband into the room due to COVID restrictions as I wanted to request specific treatment for him. Oddly, I can enter their waiting room but not the other room. A couple weeks ago I had no problem accompanying my mother to her dr appt at another physician office. I'm tired of these ridiculous restrictions that make no difference!!! Wearing a mask, yes, I agree but not being able to accompany a loved one that is hurting, I completely disagree!!! I do agree with others that have posted a review...if you want truly compassionate care, go elsewhere!!! This office just lost 4 patients with my family! read more

If you need a doc that truly cares, look elsewhere! Dr. Pfiefer is more interested in selling vitamins and other non-prescription crap. My daughter drove in from Atlanta for an appointment and she promised (in front of me) all kinds of options but then didn't even bother to call with her lab results. We had to call her the next week and even then only her "medical technologist " called us back not her. She reneged on all she offered and never spoke to her or me. I am so disappointed! I love it here! I started coming here for the massages since their therapist is covered on my health insurance for my back pain. But after I fell in love with the staff, I started coming here for all of my primary care needs too. I love how small and intimate of a practice it is and how the doctor is open to all kinds of treatments as a DO (not a MD). Since I have been coming here I can finally manage my back pain and almost all of my other health needs in a one stop shop! read more

My review is for how I was treated at this office, rather than the treatments, as I was not able to experience my desired treatment. I scheduled an initial consultation for June 6, 2017. The scheduler assured me I could bring my two small children. My initial consultation went well. Dr. Pfeifer was nice and knowledgeable. Deciding I wanted the treatment, I asked and was reassured several times by Dr. Pfeifer HERSELF that I could bring my children to my appointment for treatment. Her words were to the effect of if I was comfortable bringing my children, it would be fine with them. I scheduled a couple appointments. Upon arriving June 15, 2017 for my first treatment, Dr. Pfeifer's assistant was incredibly apologetic and informed me I would not be treated because I had brought my children. I was stunned. After being reassured several times by Dr. Pfeifer HERSELF, I was being turned away. Off goes the assistant to speak to Dr. Pfeifer. The first excuse was my son's stroller and the limited space. I mentioned to the assistant I had a portable chair my son could sit in. The assistant goes off again and the next excuse was I could not tend to my children while receiving my treatment. I obviously thought of that BEFORE making my appointments for my treatment, which is why I asked several times if I could bring them. I have no issue finding childcare, but I prefer to have my children with me, if at all possible. I left the office. While trying to process what had just happened, I wanted to see if any appointments were available. The scheduler told me it would be the end of the month before I could be seen. I explained the situation to her and she was extremely hostile in telling me I misunderstood. She never once apologized, nor took accountability for what happened. I drove 30 minutes with my children to make it to this appointment. I wasted my time and gas to make it to an appointment where I was just turned away and basically called a liar by the scheduler. She abruptly hung up on me. I never write reviews, especially when it comes down to something negative. My advice is to not spend a penny here and look elsewhere for treatment. I have never been more disgusted and disappointed with how a doctor's office has treated me as I have with Hillbrook Family Medicine. read more

We never made it into the office. We called twice to inquire about a well-check visit to meet the doctor. The woman on the phone expressed with emphasis that they do not allow interviews and that with their current number of patients, their is little need to accommodate new patients. We tried to tell her that is not what our intention was but to, instead, present her with my medical issues to be sure she felt she could treat them. The woman on the phone then told us to Google search the doctor for her credentials and added that the doctor had been a military doctor. We told her that was not a positive after being in the military for 10 years and experiencing poor medical care. The woman then proceeded to abruptly inform us that their office was not the right fit for us and hung up. My wife called the first time and I called the second time to attempt to clear up any confusion or conflict that may have been misconstrued. However, the woman on the phone abruptly informed us that their office was not the right fit for us and hung up both times. I think we dodged a bullet. In fairness, I welcome a phone call or email from the office if they would like to attempt to work through this misunderstanding. read more
