Kelley is down to earth and has the greatest stories to tell while you can only respond with "mm hmm" and "Um ruung un muh fung." Don't worry, she can figure out your ramblings. Best of all, you can actually trust these guys!! They will not steer you wrong or make you get unnecessary procedures done. I have been a patient of Dr. Disraeli's for about 5 years and can sincerely say that I have never had such excellent dental care as I have here. I used to dread my regular dental cleanings at my previous dentist office but I have had only really positive experiences with staff who are not only knowledgeable and efficient, but warm and friendly too. Dental Hygienist extraordinaire, Crysta is gentle while being thorough and attentive. She is professional and skilled and has such a positive attitude. It's obvious that she and all of the staff here love their jobs. The office is beautiful and not a typical sterile dental office which also helps put people at ease. Of course Dr. D is amazing too! Shout out to excellent Dental Hygienist Kelley at Dr Disraeli's office. Kelley is very gentle and very skilled. She is aware and mindful of the sensitive areas in my mouth and so careful. She is the first DH I've ever had that I don't dread seeing! Her manner is friendly and agreeable. She sets me up with nature videos (which is pleasant and calming) and the visit is over before I know it. She is truly the best DH I've ever known, and that's saying something because I used to see a popular dentist in La Jolla for 25 years (until he retired) and he had several top notch hygienists over the years. Creepy! I should have walked out in the middle of my first appointment. I was sitting in the chair and i told the doctor that i needed a lot of suction because i tend to salivate a lot when i am at the dentist and he looked at me and said "We are going to teach you how to swallow" I went to him for one issue and they found a few others. The next visit he asked me if i knew how to brush my teeth and showed me how i was doing it wrong and told me to buy a certain electric toothbrush. I am 56 years old and have never really taken care of my teeth. That was my decision. The last time i was there...He looked in my mouth and said "Tell me the truth. When was the last time you brushed your teeth"? I told him that it had been an hour ago but he didn't believe me because i had some residue on one of my front teeth. I then told him that i had a cigarette prior to the appointment. I spent thousands at his practice (He did three crowns at once and they didn't fit right. I had to see him two more times about it ) He blamed it on the lab that made the molds but i had a feeling that he was mad at me as well. I laughed when I actually read prior reviews that said people look forward to going to Dr Disraeli's office for dentistry. Well, guess what? They're not kidding! It's really true. Dr Disraeli personalizes the experience & really gets to know his patients well. He hires staff that are competent, exceptionally kind, gentle and caring & make a special effort to put patients at ease. And, better yet, you feel absolutely no discomfort. How great is that - - that you can totally trust your dentist for exceptional care. It doesn't get any better. Today I took my 91-year-old mother to get a crown. I asked her how it went on a scale of 1-10. She said, "Are you kidding me? Dr Disraeli is a perfect 20. No discomfort whatsoever." I really love this dental office. I'll preface my complete review with this: I hate dental anything. Okay, we got that out. The office is full of loving and friendly people. They're all helpful, receptive and kind. The dentist, Dr. Doug Disraeli, is super informative and to the point. Both of those being positive comments, trust me. I'm sure Dr. Disraeli has the best of intentions, but my experience was not good with him. I came in to establish care and receive a cleaning but felt he treated me in a condescending way. One of the first things that happened in our interaction was that he asked where I found his practice. I said, "Yelp" and he immediately said, "I hate yelp". Welp, okay then... A little background.. I am 26 years old and have taken very good care of my oral health most of my life. Again, one of the first things he said was,"wow, you must have drank a lot of soda when you were a kid." Nope, I did not. Also, goes on to tell me that whoever did my braces as a kid did a shitty job - in so many words. He referred me to an orthodontist and sent me on my way with MANY more insecurities about my smile than I had when I walked in. read more

Typically on any given day if you asked me to choose between jumping out of an airplane or going to the dentist, without a doubt my answer would of been jumping out of the plane. Well not so much anymore. I came to this office because my husbands coworkers had referred us here. Of course I made my husband go first to feel it out and confirm that this dentist was as good as we were told. He loved him and had such an amazing experience that it assured me I would have the same(fingers crossed). AMAZING!! Starting with the staff... All SO friendly and greet you with warm smiles. For a minute there I thought maybe they were confusing me for someone else because they were so nice it was as if they already knew me:-) Dr Disraeli himself is very relaxed and has a comforting manor. He did a thorough exam and explained what he saw tooth by tooth. He really took the time to explain everything and listened to any questions I may have without feeling frustrated or making me feel stupid for any questions I may of had. The procedures themselves are actually relaxing!!! This coming from someone that typically has to schedule a massage after dentist appts because I tense up so badly. When I was 9yrs old, I had a dentist slap me while I was getting a molar pulled because I was streaming and telling him it still hurt. His reply was that I needed to stop because I was making him nervous! Since then, my fear for the dentist has been off the charts! Until coming to Dr Disreali:-) I can't say enough good things about this office. They even provide movies with headphones for you to watch during the procedures which is a huge bonus to drowning out the noise of the drill. I promise you will be in the BEST hands here!! read more

I visited Dr Disraeli's office about 2 weeks ago for a teeth cleaning. Dr D is a wonderful person and his staff are top notch as well. I received a hand written card in the mail a few days later thanking me for visiting his office. I had mentioned that I had Xrays taken a few months back from a previous office but because they weren't willing to transfer the files, Dr D's office offered to take new scans at no charge. Everyone here is kind, professional, and efficient. Booking appointments is quick and easy, all of the dental assistants are nice, gentle, & painless, and no one is friendlier, or better, thank Dr. Disraeli. He's truly helpful, excellent, efficient, thoughtful. I just got a cavity filled, in and out in under 20 minutes, painless, amazing. There is easy parking in the back and TVs on the walls and ceiling, and they give you headphones so you can watch a movie or a show while they work on you if you're anxious about dental work. Something you should know about me, I work in a bank and I am completely vain about my teeth. Since I was a child, I have had so much dental work (2 sets of braces, bonding, etc...) done that its truly insane. This weekend, I had a dental emergency, I chipped my front tooth and I was completely devastated!! There was no way I was going to work looking like I just stepped off the set of "Swamp People". (I can say that, I'm proudly from the South) Thankfully I know Dr. D and I had his number in my phone, he eased my distress and told me it was a quick fix and that he would try and squeeze me in before I went to work, Monday morning. Before I started to write this review, I read the reviews of others. All I can say is ditto, ditto, ditto. They echoed my thoughts completely. I was recommended to Dr. Disraeli by a close family friend that made teeth (Bridges crowns, etc). He said that Dr. DIsraeli's work was impeccable, AND he was a great guy. Of all his many clients in San Diego County , Dr. Disraeli's work was the best, hands down! For the last 20 years, I have gone to him. His work is consistently excellent. He is consistently kind. His morals and compassion are reflected in everything, and everyone in his office, starting at the front desk. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes, even when I was being fitted in as an emergency appointment. I have been seen on the weekend and after hours. He is always available to his patients. When my late husband was going through chemotherapy, he met with me beforehand privately and said, is there anything we should know ? How can we best help? The entire staff was so kind and caring to him and to me. His first priority is always to his patients and how he and everyone on his staff make them feel. Sadly, this day in age, it is rare to find this kind of genuine dedication to compassion, kindness, and excellence. Dr. Disraeli is so authentically himself, funny, honest, and REAL. Dr. Disraeli and his staff of amazingness have truly changed my opinion on dentists! One year ago I came for the first time scared out of my mind because of my personal experience at other practices. The first day I cried. It had been way too long and I had a lot of work to get done! This practice is so amazing!! When you walk in they greet you and by the second visit you are practically family! I love coming to the dentist now...and if you know me at all this is not something that would have come out of my mouth for the past 30 years! Every single time I walk through that door I feel relaxed, and comfortable with every aspect of my treatment! They are very thorough and at the same time gentle. Everyone here is EXTREMELY friendly! I have had to bring my 6 year old with me a couple of times and he was able to hang in the lobby and even got a toy for behaving himself!! I am not kidding you...if you have any fear of dentists please come give this practice a try!! After just one year, all of my "problems" are resolved and I just walked out of my appointment with a beautiful smile on my face! They are a proud practice and proud of their patients! I have nothing negative to say about this Office. My molar cracked pretty badly, I called and they took me that day, no questions. They attempted to prep the tooth as best they could, but I needed a root canal, they were very honest about pricing and explained everything to me. If DDS Disraeli was under my insurance I would have gone back to him for the crown, but alas he was not. The receptionist was funny and engaging. They have TV's on the ceiling, and I was able to watch a movie while they cleaned the damage up. Here's the kicker, I was in the middle of switching insurance companies and was unable to get the root canal done right away. Disraeli's temporary cap lasted me from early December until the beginning of February. Temporary caps are only supposed to last a couple weeks. This says loads about his experience. Especially since I have experienced other caps falling out. (It's terribly uncomfortable) So five stars to a great staff, upfront honesty, and best efforts at keeping me comfortable. read more

This has been a place I've gone to for years.. the staff has always been super nice and friendly. Went in for a teeth cleaning.. no big deal covered under insurance.. was told I needed X-rays because it had been some time... ok had this happen before went to settle up came out to about 95 bucks.. ok little higher than I wanted to pay for a routine teeth cleaning.. payed in full and even got a discount because I did pay in full. Then got an extra bill for another 71 dollars.. I asked what the extra charges where for and they said it's what insurance didn't cover.. when has anyone with good insurance paid so much for a routine teeth cleaning.. the tech offered me fluoride which she said was covered twice a year through insurance.. when I asked for better explanation all I got was it's what your insurance didn't cover.. this is the second time I felt I got over charged.. the time before I went in for a cleaning they told me I needed X-rays again but never actually went through with it but charged me for it! I really love coming to this place but I'm not made of money and I think maybe you should be more upfront with your hidden costs. This past visit was my last! So one of my biggest fears for a long time was dentists, especially because I would dream of evil clown dentists ripping my teeth from my face sans anesthesia. As of a week ago, my teeth hadn't seen a good cleaning in years! That's partly because I had no insurance and partly because of fear. BUT after a co-worker highly recommended Dr. Disraeli and his staff, I'll never have that fear again. How much do I love the staff? The ladies are absolute lovelies! They're funny and witty and ohh so friendly. They're gentle as can be and they won't crucify you for not going to see a dentist sooner. It's all guilt-free here. They treat you with respect and the sense of humor they all have goes a long, long way. I've started recommending every family member and friend who's in need of a dentist. Plus, they're super great about trying to fit you in and working around your schedule. Like I said, absolute lovelies!!! Not to be out done, Dr. Disraeli is really awesome too. I was referred to Dr. D by a friend who had a bunch of work done, and still said he rocked and loved him, which I took as a good sign as they were recommending a dentist. I haven't had a check up in some time, so I was a little tentative about what they'd find in there. I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment. When I walked into the office for the first time I was made to feel like they had known me for years. I'm pretty comfortable in dentists' offices, but it was a nice touch. Next thing I know I'm joking around with the receptionist, hygienist, assistants - feeling quite at ease. My examination with Dr. Disraeli was great too. He was very friendly, comprehensive and very easy-going. He explained things but gave me options, which I appreciated. I like the sense of closeness I get in the office from the interaction and banter from the people there. I even scheduled one of my follow up procedures the very next morning as there was an opening. Well, and why not get it out of the way also. But I totally felt at ease as if I had been going to their offices for years. About 3 months ago I chipped my front tooth. Dr. Disraeli did an amazing job fixing it. The tooth looks completely natural, and I was in and out in less than an hour. But what makes Dr. Disraeli truly amazing is his sincere care for his patients.... and their boyfriends. While playing basketball my boyfriend's dental implant was hit and damaged. It was a Friday night, and I wasn't really sure who to call. I had Dr. D's card, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I was surprised when I actually got through to him, and even more surprised when he proceeded to intently listen and give me advice. He then called a colleague of his who is an oral surgeon and left two messages. He called me back and told me he'd give me a call as soon as he heard back from him. This alone would have been going above and beyond the call of duty, but Dr. D continued to beat my expectations. When he didn't receive a call back from his colleague, he called another one. Ok, so the Pros.. the staff is funny as hell and the TVs make you stop thinking about the fact that you are at the dentist while they poke and prod at your teeth. The cons, well, the dentist wanted to do unnecessary work, and in explaining it was condescending and rude. Perhaps that's just his style, and I misinterpreted, but it made me uncomfortable and I did not like it. I then made a schedule a week later and he didn't even remember me. I expect someone who has had their hands in my mouth to remember me. No thanks, never again. But the people that love him, love him, so he might be exactly what you are looking for, but I had a one star experience both times and my rating reflects it. read more
