Classic diner that opened in 1949. Solid food and excellent service. I was welcomed when I entered. Amarette D was my server. I got a fresh iced tea with a lemon slice. Each entree includes a side salad. Crisp lettuce. I had wanted chicken fried steak but they ran out My 2nd choice was the Salisbury steak with brown gravy. It came with a baked potato, green beans and a dinner roll. An actual steak, not ground beef. For dessert, I got a very fresh hot apple pie with golden vanilla ice cream for no extra charge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice homey atmosphere with padded booths and wood tables. No music. Lots of memorabilia.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have the original juke boxes from the 1950's.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a separate dining room in the back called The Flamingo for weddings & other special events.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They a full bar next door called the Full Moon Saloon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will come back tomorrow for breakfast.

On our drive to Taos, we stopped here as a recommendation from other family members. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm not sure how old the establishment is but it's giving traditional dinner vibes from the 1930s.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The tacos were okay but I felt like they needed some more seasoning. Service from the staff was great and we were served promptly.

The fish was fried to perfection! The breading was so crispy and tasty-fish was moist. Service was great, very attentive and on top of it. They have seating in the front and back of the restaurant. Clean, good music choice and they keep the restaurant nice and cool. Definitely check it out. My mother raves about their Turkey dinner on Sundays.

Came in with a large group and was seated right away. The servers were all very friendly and breakfast was pretty good. The cheese enchilada with egg was great! Only issue was the inside was swarming with flies and the decor was pretty old and seemed to not have been cleaned. I'd come back but just hope it's a bit tidier.

Stopped here for breakfast while passing through. Waffle and sausage was good and price reasonable. Service was a little slower than I expected but they were quite busy.

This is a go to for me when in Las Vegas. The service is always prompt and the food delicious.

I'm now a burnt cheese taco addict. I'd be here weekly if I lived in town. Service was good enough and for the age of this place it's still a comfy vibe in a way with plenty of character. It doesn't need to be perfect or top notch. Locals are good folks & it's a good sign to see them coming in while we were here

Very slow service, way to slow. Food was okay. We will look for another place the next time we are in Las Vegas NM.

OMG. I thought $13 for the chili rellenos plate was expensive. But after we were served the two…read morehuge rellenos and ate one each with the ample portions of real beans and delicious rice we we both stuffed. So this lunch for two actually turned out to be a bargain. To me, the hallmark dish for Mexican food is the chili relleno. The cook on it here was absolutely perfect. It was lightly battered and fried to a gentle crisp on the outside. That is hard to do since not very many can accomplish it. The chili itself had enough crunch that I had to ask if it was fresh. (It was not and I did not expect so since it is not chili season.) The cheese on the inside was perfect. My kudos go to Olivia herself who is the cook here. The other lady cashier/waitperson was engaging and congenial. Sitting outside with the plaza around was delightful. The three white guys at another table said that this was the least expensive Mexican food in town. I wish that I lived near here so that I could try Olivia's other dishes. WARNING! The City of Las Vegas has installed some vicious speed bumps on the streets that go to the Plaza. They are unsigned and largely unmarked since the paint has worn off. Shame on them for mistreating their tourists that are trying to support the community

I will say that the tortillas were homemade and amazing. The green chili was spicy, but was really kind of blah. The waitress was very friendly and the service was quick. Maybe I just chose poorly from the menu (everything I had was centered around the green chili). My son had the chicken strip basket with fries and he loved the fries and said that the chicken was yummy. The coffee also wasn't anything to write home about. Feels like an old diner vibe and seems to be generally clean. Liked it, didn't love it. Next time I'm in Las Vegas I will try something different, not because it's bad but because there are probably better places.

It took a while to come out but we were both happy once it did. Servers were good here too. Friendly and responsive for both the evening and morning meal. The quality of breakfast was disappointing. My generic eggs, hashbrowns, etc was OK. My partner's avocado toast was made with some sort of odd avocado puree (not a fresh avocado) and tasted odd. They also had a large pancake that was slightly cake/cookie - ish. Hard to explain... Crunchy on the outside and spongy on the inside. It didn't taste bad, but is not what you expect when ordering a pancake. The coffee tasted watered down and weak too. For what you get, it seemed too expensive. I think you're safe going there for dinner, but perhaps not breakfast.

They were so ridiculously good that I ordered another round... and then somehow another. Before I knew it, I'd inhaled nine sliders like I was training for the Olympic Competitive Munchies Team. Mission accomplished--the munchies were officially defeated. I paid my tab, waddled out the door, and went to smoke another dooby. Now I'm sitting here wondering... after this next dooby, am I about to march right back in there and order another round of sliders? The odds are looking pretty good. Happy trails, buckaroos! PS: I honestly couldn't tell you what they taste like under normal circumstances. But if you're higher than gas prices, those sliders are five-star fine dining.

We ordered a burrito, fries and drinks - a Manhattan for my wife and a chocolate martini with Kettle One and crème de cacao for me. My wife's drink was to her liking, but the chocolate martini tasted like there was coffee liqueur in it. Since I didn't know when our waitress would appear again, I told the first person we saw - a young man - that I couldn't drink anything with coffee because of the caffeine, and that I needed it remade. He took it back to redo. While we were waiting, one of the pool players dropped a very loud f-bomb when he missed a shot. Then a young child began crying very loudly. The young man came back with the remade drink, and the coffee taste was gone. After it had been over 45 minutes I had to ask what looked like the manager what had happened to our burrito and fries. She went back to check, and our food finally appeared. The burritos were long on rice and short on carne asada, something we couldn't know until we started eating. At some point our original waitress came back, and my wife told her we had to send back my first drink because of the coffee ingredient. She denied any coffee-containing spirit was used, and walked away. We never saw her again. I had to ask the manager for an itemized ticket, since the ones we had were sign for a total amount only, with no itemized detail. Since the original waitress had closed out our ticket right after we ordered and had given us our check, we paid and left. No tip was left. If you want a properly-mixed drink, be prepared to explicitly request every ingredient. Better still, don't expect great drinks or food at this place - stay away. There are lots of other choices in Las Vegas NM.
