He came when he said he would and was able to contact the manufacturer and arrange a technician appointment so there wouldn't be wasted time waiting for a return call. Together they solved a gas pressure issue and using a too high MERV (13 ) filter that restricted air flow allowing the furnace to burn too hot. This caused a lockout shutting the furnace down. I highly recommend him to solve your problem much more reasonable than the big firms. He is someone you can trust.

Called to have 4 piece kitchen faucet replaced , but 50 year old deep well pump also failed…read more Dave's assistant showed up at 8 am and had the faucet set changed out in about an hour. Dave showed up @ 9 am and opened the well head and determined the pump in the well had failed. I wanted to replace with another Gould unit (they are American made and pricy, but quality units - 1st on lasted 50 years!) and he recommended a 2 wire unit that eliminated the control box in the cellar. He replaced everything in the well but the HD plastic pipe (pump, wiring, wire protectors), and soldiered all the electrical connections. Pump back in service by about 2 pm. As a former Marine Engineer, I know quality work when I see it and that's what I got from Dave Dias Plumbing. I highly recommend them!

Buying a mini-split system is an incredibly difficult process. The Mass Save rebate system is very…read moredifficult to navigate. I got quotes and presentations from 4 different vendors and the pitch and price was exactly the same - hour long presentation and a $30k cost. However, what each vendor tells you is that IF you qualify a $10k rebate is available and your net cost is $20k. Essentially the rebate is a scam - it just gives contractors the ability to inflate the prices and use the rebate to make the system sound cheaper than it really is. I finally met with McIver and he was able to simplify the entire process. He is not a Mass Save contractor. So he does not work the rebate, just offers a strait-up cost to install the system. When he gave me his quote, I quickly figured out that Dan McIver was an honest man and that the whole Mass Rebate program was a scam. His quote with the similar equipment and the same number of mini-splits was $13,500. I hired him for the job and they started within a week. One of my biggest concerns was esthetics - I was worried about too many refrigeration lines running around the outside of the house. Our house is a rental property in Cape Cod that had a lot of charm to it and we did not want to ruin the integrity of it. Dan came up with a brilliant solution and was able to run most of the lines through the basement to minimize the lines on the outside of the house - we were so pleased with this solution. His team did a fantastic job building out the system - they were clean and finished the project on the timeline he quoted. The work was high quality!! Net is that Dan took a very complicated buying process and made it simple and affordable. He is highly recommended for the quality of his work, pricing and his honest and straightforward approach!
