Right away we told them the car was a BMW M4, completely dead, could not go into neutral. They confirmed the $195 quote. At the 1 hour mark (2:30 am), we hadn't heard anything, so we called. They said the driver was finishing another job and would call us shortly. At 3:00 am, we called again, frustrated because we could've paid $50 more elsewhere and been home already. They said he'd be on his way soon. We finally got a text saying the driver was en route from Santa Ana, 15 minutes away. He arrived around 3:45 am, over 2 hours after our original call. The driver loaded the car onto the flatbed with no issues. Then came the surprise, he told us the price was now $325 a $130 increase because he had to use "extra pieces" since the car couldn't go into neutral. Hector (tow truck driver) was a nice guy and knew what he was doing, just disappointed in the bait and switch. :/ We had explained the car's condition in detail when we first called and were quoted $195. Nothing changed between then and the tow. The price hike only came up after the car was already on the truck. Unprofessional from start to finish. Late by 1.5+ hours beyond the estimate, terrible communication (we had to chase them), and a shady price increase while the car was being loaded. The office is at the end of that pathway with no parking, and we communicated with the lady through a metal gate. We provided the driver's license, credit card (4% fees), and key fob since the other documents were in the car. We read and signed the paper to release the vehicle. It took about 5 minutes for the whole process. Though it was not a pleasant experience, if your car is towed, you could bring another person to help handle the situation, as you would probably be stressed out and agitated. It would be good not to vent to the cashier lady -- as she was not the one who calls and tows your car. If you are not at fault, talk to the property managers or bring it to court.

The sign they use to justify their theft is hidden in the corner, when it SHOULD be right in FRONT of the cars as they park. And it said "parking for O'Reilly customers only." How EXACTLY do the tow truck drivers validate who is and isn't a customer? Anyone can buy something from them, and decide to eat at a restaurant in the same plaza. It's more valid for the sign to say "no parking between 9pm-7am" or something like that. The fee for my friends to get back their car was $695. That's outrageous. They know people don't have any other choice if they wanna get their car back, so they charge so much. Literally holding the people hostage and the cars for ransom. The tow truck driver actually had a bandana covering his face. Now, I know that ain't for covid protection coz the job isn't high risk dealing with big crowds and such. They know they are criminals!
