My husband's car was towed away for a parking violation, which was his fault, and he knew the risk of parking at the wrong spot. We called the number on the towing sign and were directed to the Fullerton location. The person on the phone also informed us about the operating hours, which I appreciated since my husband could not be patient enough and wanted to get the car immediately. The location is quite hard to locate, as we must enter a narrow path on the side of another building (5455). The office is at the end of that pathway with no parking, and we communicated with the lady through a metal gate. We provided the driver's license, credit card (4% fees), and key fob since the other documents were in the car. We read and signed the paper to release the vehicle. It took about 5 minutes for the whole process. Though it was not a pleasant experience, if your car is towed, you could bring another person to help handle the situation, as you would probably be stressed out and agitated. It would be good not to vent to the cashier lady -- as she was not the one who calls and tows your car. If you are not at fault, talk to the property managers or bring it to court. read more

There address is not in Fullerton, it's in Santa Ana. make sure you ask them where the car is located and don't just drive to the Fullerton address posted. Also, they are not open 24 hours and if you don't get there by 5PM, they charge you a $140 gate fee or late charge. They don't tell you that over the phone. The first 2 guys I talked to were very rude and the guy at the window was nice. They only take credit cards or cash and charge you 4% extra if you use a credit card. Bring cash or your bank card and they have a ATM that only charges 1.8%. Or just get cash before hand. They are super shady though and just want to add more fees and make it difficult. They moved my car from one location to the other, of course I'm taking uber since my car was towed and had to spend another $19 going to the second location. read more

So that's what we did. They needed me to be there as the registered owner and pay $542 cash or credit with a 4% up charge to even get the address. Two of my friends got their cars towed because they parked in the parking lot of O'Reilly in Buena Park. The sign they use to justify their theft is hidden in the corner, when it SHOULD be right in FRONT of the cars as they park. And it said "parking for O'Reilly customers only." How EXACTLY do the tow truck drivers validate who is and isn't a customer? Anyone can buy something from them, and decide to eat at a restaurant in the same plaza. It's more valid for the sign to say "no parking between 9pm-7am" or something like that. The fee for my friends to get back their car was $695. That's outrageous. They know people don't have any other choice if they wanna get their car back, so they charge so much. Literally holding the people hostage and the cars for ransom. TLDR: I waited almost 1 hour and 30 minutes longer than the original estimate and wound up not even needing the tow as a result. Detail: I had to request a late-night tow after someone parked illegally in the striped "no parking" zone next to a handicap spot, blocking access for a person who actually needed it. I called around 11:45 PM and spoke with Tony, the dispatcher, who was incredibly polite, clear, and easy to communicate with. I was originally told the wait time would be 30 minutes or less, but the tow truck didn't arrive until around 1:10 AM--about an hour and 30 minutes later than expected. That wait, especially in the middle of the night, was really frustrating; they needed me as a board member to sign for the tow, so I couldn't go to bed until the situation was resolved. That said, Tony was responsive and patient through multiple follow-up calls and kept me as updated as he could, which I appreciated. The parked car finally wound up moving on its own right before the tow truck arrived, which was ultimately a good thing, but that meant I waited up until 1:15am when I could have been in bed much earlier had the tow occurred when it was originally estimated. Overall, the communication helped ease the situation, but the significant delay makes it hard to give a perfect rating. Just be prepared for potential delays during late hours. read more

THIS PLACE SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE SUED AND PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. My wife and I had our car towed by these people and honestly, rightfully so. we didn't see any indication of signs nor was the parking spot itself marked in any distinct way to alert someone that's not from the area. We made a mistake, went to pick up our car, and paid the outrageous fee. Absolutely fair. But what is not fair is the amount of damage that was sustained to our vehicle simply due to employee negligence, inconsideration, and reckless abandon for someone's property. TL;DR They are known to damage, steal, and charge excessive fees to ransom your car. If you tried to eat at Gangnam Station during busy hours, you will most likely consider parking by O'Reilly's Auto Parts. We finished eating around 9:30pm and O'Reilly doesn't even post that they close until 10pm both on Google and on their official website so now we think an employee at O'Reilly is suspected of getting a cut from the tow company for reporting cars. Employees of Night Star Towing are rude and get hostile if you try to obtain evidence of their malpractice. They hide their faces and you don't feel safe there. If you read other reviews, they target cars and rummage for valuables in addition to damaging the car and service for waiting after paying an exorbitant amount (basically robbery) was over 30 min but it took them a couple minutes to tow the car and 5-10 min to park it in their shady facility. $695 to get the car back and it is not in the same condition you left it in. If you don't get your car, they have a sign outside saying they host auctions of the cars they STOLE from people who couldn't pay. To a majority of us who work minimum wage, that's over 44 hours of hard work gone in 30 minutes. On top of that you have to review damage to your car and belongings inside. My car was towed (wrongfully but not this company's fault) and when I asked to pay to get my car back, I was met with a wonderfully unpleasant employee. The common denominator between us was that we both did not want to be at the towing office. After I gave her cash for the payment, she came back saying they didn't have enough money in the register to give me change. Granted I thought that was weird, but I needed to get my car back. I gave her a credit card for the remaining $14 I owed them. I got my car back and thought everything was fine. Until I got a call from the Garden Grove Police Department and found surprising charges on my credit card. Apparent the wonderfully unpleasant employee had written down all of my information in her little notebook, and she had been arrested for some charge, where the police searched her car and found this little notebook. There is another part of the story where the towing company attempts to reimburse me for the charges since it was wrongfully towed. Was visiting from Las Vegas, and was accused of parking illegally in a private mobile home park in Anaheim. The tow truck driver Albert employee #1102 then named his put down fee. After paying said fee he proceeded of instead lowering my 1 ton truck safely to pull and let my truck slam onto the ground even pulling off part of bumper which I assume is front lip spoiler of some sort. I bought the truck from a reputable dealership in Vegas on February 15th 2021. A month and half ago yet this douchebag proceeds to lie in front of 5 witnesses stating that my truck was probably in an accident before and that the clips were probably loose. He even said it's just the clips that are broken (that was at night) when checked upon further in the morning the part shows the place where the clips go were also broken by a pulling motion. Showing his negligence. To top it off, the douchebag (because he's lost my respect) didn't connect the transmission shifting linkage and just left me and my truck in the same spot he had just tried to tow me from. On the evening of May 2023, Night Star Towing towed my car while I was off loading groceries. On its face the tow is controversial. Other residents have remarked the tow company, Night Star is notorious for doing snatch and grabs; taking cars quickly, removing them from the property then securing the vehicle to the tow truck. I was informed by a resident in the apartment I stay of a lawsuit against Night Tow for damages to their vehicle. Claiming Night Star Tow rushed to remove the vehicle from the property causing the vehicle to slide off the tow truck damaging cars. Residents at our complex have complained to management and have filed law suits against Night Star Towing for damages caused by their towing methods; referred to as snatch and grab. At my apartment complex there are no loading/unloading zones although there are red zones, which many residence use for loading and off loading so do the delivery services, FedEx, Amazon, etc. as well as utilities services, without incident. Interacting with Night Star Towing to reacquire my vehicle revealed unquestionably obvious that the manager Albert has very, very poor costumer service skills. Lesson Learned. I knowingly parked where I knew I shouldn't have and paid the price. Got towed on a Friday night and was able to pick up 3:00pm Saturday. The ladies on the phone were nice and empathetic with my requests but couldn't accommodate an early pick up. They provide a small window for weekend pick-ups and wished I could have received by car back sooner, but I understand. After making the pick up appointment, a driver showed up at the lot promptly and hustled to get our cars out from the back after taking payment. The lone driver who helped us today seemed like a nice guy and to be honest, I was surprised how well things went today. The fees were not cheap, but neither is rent, fuel, wages, etc., so I look at the $560 fee I paid them as a valuable lesson to not park like a jerk or think I was above following the rules. The lady I talked to, I asked her for the price to get my car out the next day, and she told me. So I went there the next day and the girl told me the same price as the day before. So I gave her the money then the other girl hiding behind the glass inside yelled out that there was a mistake and now it's $250 more than the original price. I don't see how that would be my problem when I was quoted twice already. They ended up saying they will accept $50 instead of $250. That's a total scam.
