When the date approached, emailed me that even a simple cleaning would have a $200+ copay, because Aetna isn't "in network;" (but NO ONE'S insurance is in THEIR network, so that "patients can make their own choices ??) then, even tried to get me to sign up for their "Smile Club"--with a large monthly fee, as though I was going to Costco. Finally, when I brought the deception to their attention, they tried to gaslight me. Reprehensible. Not smiling.

However, I was a bit disappointed and disheartened with my visit. My teeth were not in the best shape so I really went to Runion hoping to hear some long-term but reasonable alternatives. That is not what happen. Instead I was told how $10-15,000 of work would be the best option. No short term plan was given which made me feel like there was no hope for me moving forward without the "suggested work". This is a state of the art facility, but it is definitely not for the common, everyday worker who does not have $10,000-$15,000 to spare. -Whatever happen to reviewing all financial and dental alternatives? -Do dentist have "chairside manners" because if so I didn't get that after I explained that this was not financially feasible at this time. Thank goodness they have polite assistants bc this definitely helps the experience. -I had a tooth pulled and it was I had a hand and a jack hammer in my mouth. And when I signaled for a break, that didn't happen he just kept going. Not to mention I sat in the office for 4 HOURS! I definitely wasn't expecting that. I can frankly say, thanks for the 3-D dental experience, but I will be taking my x-rays to a dental practice that is interested in working with all financial situations. Needless to say... Have not had good experience. I was not told when they decided to drop my dental insurance as "in…read morenetwork" and as a result my bill was over $350 for a cleaning. I did not have any cavities and I did not have any fluoride or additional treatment. Next, I use dip so I get worried about mouth cancer. In the past, the dentist has said," just pop on in and get a quick screening". It takes about 10minutes, they shine a light in your mouth and check for abnormalities. I know how much this costs because I get it every time ($25), so I had it done while waiting to get in at a new dentist. I get the bill and I'm charged $120. They had charged me for a limited evaluation as well as the cancer screening. I had not had ANYTHING additional done and when I called about it they said that's a charge for the dentist stepping into the room to see me. When I called to ask about it, they said they'd call me back. After 5 days of no response, I called again and they pretty much told me to go F myself. I feel deceived and taken advantage of. I would not recommend Hilliard Modern Dental. Please don't go here.

I would HIGHLY recommend this practice. They have late hours as well as some Saturday hours.
