We were part of a tailgate takeout event here recently and I didn't even know this place existed! I looked at the menu online prior to going, and decided on a burger. My husband and I both got burger baskets. We also ordered the corn poppers, which I highly recommend. I had the mongo burger. First of all, I will say if you go hungry and order a burger, you may not finish it because they are massive. The mongo burger comes with onion rings and barbecue sauce and a delicious buttery bun. Husband got the chipotle burger which was good too. It had a great chipotle sauce with cheddar cheese. Next time we will get just the burger and corn poppers or some other appetizer. The fries were old and chewy and the coleslaw was soggy. But the burger and app had us satisfied for sure! read more

We were driving on 131 one day and saw a billboard that showed pretty good looking burger. We had never heard of Hilliards so decided the next week to check it out. Hilliards is a rather large bar/restaurant that also offers live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. We arrived soon after opening and checked out the menu even though our intent was to order burgers. I had called a few days earlier to be sure we could order burgers rare or medium rare and was told "they cook them the way you want them". We ordered our burgers both medium rare and they both arrived slightly more done than medium. Almost medium well. Absolutely dry with no taste of seasoning. Bottom line, not that good. We didn't bother sending them back or complaining figuring it's our problem since we let a billboard make our decision. This could be a fun place to come and listen to music but I'd eat first before coming. Day wasn't a total loss. We avoided the expressways and took back roads both ways. A nice drive. read more

I ordered a taco salad . When you order a taco salad you expect taco meat on it- well not here! For an extra $5 you get a 1/2 cup of some kind of meat which is tasteless! The lettuce tasted rotten- needless to say I could not eat it. This was for $18 - no extras, just 1/2 cup of some kind of mystery meat. Same ole greasy bar food as anywhere else! Service is fair but turnover is high! Ambiance is an old bar that hasn't been updated in 30 years or more and the chicken dinner that used to be great, has gone downhill, undercooked small portions! We will never return after last visit! read more

Went to the restaurant and got bbq wings and chips and salsa. The service was great, I was treated very friendly. The area was very calming, nice music to eat and talk with in the background. One small thing is the bbq sauce being a little too sweet. Other than it there is no issue. read more

Typical corner bar! Lots of regulars, mainly from all the farms around the area! Service, so so! Chicken Dinner on Sundays massively overrated! Little bitty ice cream scooper of mashed potatoes with your dinner, barely enough for a child. Bread is simply a slice of bread taken out of a commercial loaf of sandwich bread. No ambiance to speak of, small booths along one wall, tables with chairs throughout. Seems place is filled with all the locals every time we have been there. Burgers and some of sides are good but nothing to write home to mom about! Sort of place that you get what you pay for but I did expect far more out of the every Sunday only Chicken Dinner the locals all say is so great, not what you would expect from a place smack dab in the middle of Farm Country! Not enough food to fill a worn-out hungry farmer that's for sure! Also want to mention, Allegan County Sherriff's station patrol cars nearby and watch not only for speeders, but for patron's that have been there for a while. read more

This was the worst place we could have picked to have dinner. We got there before the rush on Friday evening. 15 minutes went by before the hostess brought us menus. Another 20 minutes before our drink and food orders were taken. By a waitress who was not yet assigned an area. After we got our food we had to flag down a waitress several times before she stopped. Yes she was busy but stopped at the table behind us asked how was there food. They didn't bring mine correctly. I ordered a deluxe burger it came plain. All you can eat fish was difficult to get a second order waving for 15 or20 minutes. The food here was good but the service was lousy. It seemed more crowded than 6 ft apart tables. And was packed by the time we left. The Bill had the extra for the deluxe burger guess that was the tip. read more

Let me tell ya' people I was of the same frame of mind until my husband convinced me to try "just one". After that one bite I couldn't gobble them up fast enough. Great bar. Everyone is always pleasant. It is clean. They are prompt to acknowledge you and serve you. They hand batter their own food. Their gizzards are the best. Their mushrooms are amazing. I think they are fresh, then they batter them and deep fry them. Definitely enough to share. Burgers and burritos are great. BLT is not skimpy on bacon. Would have shrimp again too. The head cook at Hilliards Corner Lounge is very rude and hardly works. In fact, gets mad when he has to work. Orland likes to sit at the bar and drink while the elderly women (owner) is in the kitchen doing his job for him. When the owner is not there, Orland leaves the kitchen to all other teenage workers to do his job for him. Not a good example to kitchen staff. read more

Kudo's to Hilliards Corner Lounge for giving us local entertainment. They have totally amped up their game and are the local "go to" place for great live music. My favorite is probably Sunday's When they have a guest artist from 5-8 ish. It's so great to see them putting that great stage to use. I truly wish more locals would come out on Sundays to enjoy this little gem right in our own neighborhood. The hours at Hilliards are great and the staff is super friendly, yes, we have our favorites (Theresa and Ann). I would also highly recommend the Steamed Shrimp and Prime Rib. This is definitely a destination spot if you are not in the area! read more

Food was okay- standard GFS food- but I could have went out back, butchered and cooked a cow and still have have time to wait for food. Waitress was slow. Everyone at table waited forever on refills. Many appetizers missing/added on. Probably would never go back again read more

Bar service is terrible! Waited 20 Minutes to retrieve my debit card from the bar. Every bartender ignored me. I ask my waitress for help she says she can't simply retrieve my card. I'm yelled at to stand back in line for 5 more minutes. I finally get handed my card. I explain that my entire tab, 2 rum and cokes and one spinach dip appetizer were paid for by my friend that my waitress knew about. She proceeds to argue with me and charge me anyway. Oh my goodness. ...Just ate there tonight for half off burger night....Had real burgers that were made from Fresh burger..not Frozen! Burgers were awesome and fries were perfect too. Had fast friendly service...Will be back again! And our beers were 1/2 off before 6pm...No complaints here! read more
