Amazing Southern estate and historical tour. If you pass through the area I would highly recommend that you spend an afternnon visiting Hills and Dales. I have visited many states in the South and New Orleans but Ive yet to see a Southern estate this well maintained. You will learn a lot of local history about the Calloway family and the beautiful estate and gardens which survived the Civil War.

A wonderful visit to a beautiful home. Docent was well versed in history of the Callaways. Gardens were fabulous.

I attended a wedding two weeks ago at this location and Kelly and her team really know how to put…read moreon a fabulous wedding. The wedding was June 12th and I think I've looked at the pictures from the wedding every day since. The staff was so nice in making sure that the guest and wedding party were content and happy. The invitation said 6, but the wedding didn't start until 7, but no one seemed stressed about it, so I assumed it was an early time on the invite to make sure people didn't arrive late. There was a cash bar, and while I spent $48 without tip on 4 drinks, I'd happily to it again. They poured up a good drink There was an outdoor patio for standing around while we waited for the ceremony to begin, taking pictures, talking and smoking etc. The wedding was lovely overall and this venue only added to the atmosphere. The food was delicious, there was salmon, chicken tenders, brisket, Cesar salad. The collard greens were not to my tasting, but I'm from the south and nobody makes collards better than my grandmas and aunts. Again....Kelly and her team deserve all the accolades for what was seemingly a stress free wedding environment. I'm not sure of the cost, but the mother of the bride assured me it was reasonably priced for a wedding planned in less than two months.

I got married on May 25th. After searching for a fabulous venue, within my $3000 budget, and being…read moreunsuccessful, I decided to search on www.herecomestheguide.com. After a few scrolls, I found the Del'avant. It's about 70 minutes south of Atlanta and honestly, when you exit the highway, you may think that you've made the worst 70 minute drive of your life (only because it's super country), but about 8 minutes from the exit, you find yourself in Downtown LaGrange. When I pulled up to the Del'avant Event Center, I immediately fell in love with the building. It had the elements that I was looking for; exposed bricks that gives the venue a NYC feel, hardwood floors, bridal suite, rooftop space for cocktail hour, ceremony space, parking deck for the guests etc. My fiance at the time and I met with the Venue Manager, Anna. At first, I wasn't sure Anna would be able to fulfill our wedding venue needs. She was late for our initial meeting and when she did show up, she had her sick daughter on her hip the entire time, however, after about an hour, Anna reeled us in and I fell in love with the Del'avant. The $3000 that we paid included the entire venue from 8 a.m. to midnight, use of the bridal and groom suites, a venue hostess who assisted with on the day needs, round, rectangle and high tables, chivari chairs, chaise loungers, accent chairs etc. We loved it!! If you're looking for a venue that's within the budget and aesthetically pleasing and only 70 minutes from Atlanta, the Del'avant is for you!
