Recently, I was told suddenly that I had an unpaid balance from last year, and they claimed it had been sent to collections!! But I never received any letters, emails, or calls about it. I always pay co-pays up front and have receipts, so this was really confusing especially that I've always paid hundreds to thousands of dollars on top of my kids insurance and never hesitated not to pay upfront. During the last call, the staff member spoke to me in a rude and dismissive way, which felt discriminatory. There was no effort to explain the charges clearly, and instead of helping they threatened to cancel my child's appointment. I expect professionalism and clarity, especially when it comes to billing and sensitive financial matters. What sets Dr. Ritter apart is his experience, clear explanations of treatment options, excellent and friendly office staff and assistants. The office is run efficiently and we have never had to wait for more than a few minutes to be seen. Dr. Ritter is friendly, funny, and puts our son at ease. When working on our son, he is focused, and not going from patient to patient. It has now been 7 months into treatment, and our son still looks forward to his appointments with Dr. Ritter.
