They dug trenches for the irrigation but left hundreds of large rocks in the dirt and then laid sod right on top of that. They told me, "Don't worry, soon the grass will grow right over the rocks - no big deal. Give it a year or two. That was 3 years ago, and my yard is disgusting. I can't mow it as the wheels of the lawnmower drop down into the depressions where there are large rocks all around them. As you walk in the grass, there are pits and rocks that you can feel under your feet. Half of the sod has now died, even tho I spent hundreds every month over the summers on water and fertilizer. It makes me sick to even go into my backyard. I have asked the owner to come look at my yard and talk to me, and no replies - ever. He knows he did a cheap crappy job and now he just wants to hide from me. Stay away from this 'company'.

The pergola they installed broke and fell the first heavy wind and they tried to bill be separately for that install when it was part of the original quote. My drip system for the front yard isn't working now, due to whatever they did when landscaping the backyard. I don't know who to trust going forward. We held off on getting our landscaping completed at that time. I contacted Rick two months later. He came back out and gave me an updated quote. My neighbor got a quote as well. I explained that we were on a budget and we could not go over the price. He was absolutely ok with that, gave us the pricing for the quote two months prior (they had raised their prices at that time) and also gave my neighbor and myself a discount for doing the job the same time! It took a few weeks for them to get started (they told us a date ahead of time so we were aware that there were other jobs ahead of us), and the first step was to do the brick paver patio. It was completed in a few days. The next step was to do our drip system and landscaping which we were told would be the next week on a Friday. I asked if it would be completed by Fourth of July where I was assured that it would. Woo hoo! Well, unfortunately they had some setbacks and didn't get that portion of the job started until the fifth of July, but stuff happens. I was just happy to have our patio set for our fourth party. It took a couple of days to complete that portion. They had a ton of DG leftover and I asked Rick if we would be getting a credit since they didn't use all that we paid for. Yep, they gave us a credit for the unused DG. I'm pleased with all of the hard work they put into our backyard and when it comes time to complete our side (we are doing it in phases), we will have them come back out and complete our yard. Only giving four stars because I think they could do better at communicating in more of a timely manner. I sent emails and it would take a day or two for replies. Overall great job, Summerscape! Everything was setup up and Heber and his team said they'd take care of our snow removal in a timely manner if/when the Reno area received 3 inches or more of snow. Fast forward to the storm that dropped 8 inches of snow the night of Jan 10th and Heber left us guessing when they would plow our parking lot. The following morning he informed us without any notice that they would not be able to service our account. Not only did Heber bail on us with no notice, but he waited until well into the next morning to inform us of this after our parking lot had turned into a sheet of ice. Heber and Plan It Premises Services do not keep their word. They left us without plow service after we received 8inches of snow, and did not even have the courtesy to call us before or during the storm. Heber instead waited until the following day to send a text that we weren't going to receive their plow service and would not answer any calls regarding this. Heber and Plan It Premise Services have left us and our customers in a dangerous situation. Horrible and extremely unprofessional service from Heber and Plan It Premises Services. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your needs.

The crewed showed up promptly on time daily and were very pleasant to work with. Through no fault of the landscape company there was a bad batch of sod from the supplier. I reached out to Dan the owner a few days later to let him know some of the sod was damaged. He showed up at my house within the hour to inspect what had happened. By the afternoon same day all damaged sod was removed and replaced. My lawn is beautiful now. I am very impressed with the quick response and resolution to an unexpected problem. Did the usual checked yelp and put together a list of 10 companies and asked facebook as well. Century Landscapes name came up so we added them to the list. Called 7/10 to come out and do bids, most were too busy but 3 managed to show up to walk our backyard and chat with some options. First company listened to what we wanted but had zero input more of an order taker versus a design, we opted to tell them to give us a bid and they never followed up despite emails and calls. 2nd company seemed nice but flat out told us work couldn't start till October (we were getting bids before memorial day), so they were out. Century was the 3rd company to come out and we had William listen to what we wanted for about 20 minutes and then add design ideas we didn't even think about. Told him our budget and timeline and he let us know what we could do with both. Final budget was on point not a dollar over the quote. The job itself was about our kids safety we had an old splintered deck, a pond that leaked, a grass border holding back some shale rock (very sharp not kid friendly stuff), and sorry looking grass. The team at century was able to do all the demo in one weekend, and start the prep work for 1500 sq/ft of pavers to replace everything aforementioned, and as an add on William and the design team constructed a great flag stone patio where the sorry looking grass was. Work went fast and when I had a concern all employees on site took the time to talk with me and fix the issue without any of the usual grumbling or difficulty some contract work entails. To summarize spend the time to talk with this company, and you wont be disappointed. Pricing they were right in line with the competition. Quality of work was outstanding. Communication was great (text/email/call they always responded). Thanks for getting our backyard a place we can enjoy with the kids again! P.S.
