They all went out of their way to welcome M&D and help them transition to their new home. Even Kara in billing helped by providing billing details for our insurance company. When questions or concerns came up, all I had to do was ask and the team responded with solutions that fit our needs. It is very comforting to know that my parents are in a safe and loving environment, and if they need anything at all, it's just the push of a button away. There are about 4 core employees who are absolute angels on earth at Memory Care, however the rest of the employees are basically miserable people who clearly wish they were somewhere else. Considering the cost to live at BV ($7,000 - $10,000/ MONTH), it would seem fitting that the employees would be well trained and well paid. If your loved one is here, please check on them often.

My parents moved into Story Point saline, almost 3 years ago. They were in their mid-90s at that…read morepoint, so they moved into the "enhanced living" wing of independent - which provides three meals a day instead of one and also daily housekeeping plus weekly laundry services. This was the perfect set up for them. No personal care was included of course, since this is considered independent living. But when my mom broke her hip two months ago, we were able to add on the extra personal Services she needs without having to move to her assisted living. She's been able to get the support she needs in her same apartment. The personal Services and aides are part of CorsoCare wellness. The aides have been fantastic. They are personable, patient and professional. I feel like everyone on the staff at Story Point goes out of their way to make the residents feel cared for and at home. Like many senior places, the rent and Care at Story Point is not inexpensive. But it's been a good place for my parents and it's close to several of their kids. We feel fortunate that they are living there.

This is a FOR PROFIT company that shows they are doing what they can to make as much profit as possible even at the expense of the residents. Even though we've never used it, I do NOT recommend any dependent care unless you want to pay the rent AND pay for private care. We have known families that have their loved one there and because of the lack of supervision they paid the rent and had to hire private care to come into the facility to ensure their safety and give them peace of mind. Good luck with billing. It takes weeks to get items corrected when THEY over bill (and for us it seems to happen every month). I was told they can't send you a rebill when the rent bill is incorrect. Yesterday we gave a check for rent and when asked for a receipt was told it will show up on the ledger (they don't give receipts). Then staff at the front desk proceeded to laugh at me, I don't think they realized I could hear them but quite rude. This place is not cheap (but most in our area aren't) you'd think their billing system would be able to at least give receipts. Rent goes up every year (except 1) and was not told this when she signed the lease. Apparently they were aware of this problem but rent still increases to the tune of 12% in 2022-2023. On the independent side they do have a number of activities and very friendly staff that seems to care for the residents and the director Erin does care about the residents.

To give you my point of view, I work in administration at a similar type of care facility. I'm not…read moretaking away from what others have experienced, I can only say that our experience was much different. When I first walked in, the facility was clean and organized. While that doesn't always indicate the quality of care, it is a good first sign. The front desk was careful about making sure visitors checked in. I appreciate that they are keeping an eye out. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby and a cafeteria in the basement. When you are visiting, it is nice to have these service on site. My father was here due to a stroke and was not always the easiest person to have as a resident. The RNs and PTs were universally good in addressing my father's pain and rehab needs. I have to particularly complement the PT in encouraging my father to take part in physical therapy. Most of the CNAs were good with repositioning my father but there were a few who did not show enough caution when repositioning his leg where a part the ankle bone had been removed because of an infection. Any movement of the leg was painful and any sudden move was excruciatingly painful. No one wants to be in a facility like this. If any of my relatives were to need this type of assistance again, I'd be comfortable with having them stay here.

Jasmine in the kitchen is extremely rude to my mother on a near daily basis regarding her special…read moremeal requests. She also does not wear clothing appropriate for work and serves unsafe food. I will be removing my mother from this facility asap and ensuring the health department pays a visit. Send your family here to die in disgust and food-poisoning along-side the miserable employees.
